Ah yes, it's that time again. New list, new decor. Same comfy chairs though Grin

So, pull up a chair, settle in and make yourselves at home Smile

Oh well done Kid! It is incredible how much support you can get from a totally unofficial internet thread Grin

I am fretting because I don't know if I'm going to be able to get everything in I need today - but that's no excuse for slipping & I might be able to stock up on 1 or 2 things from the local shops....

SO - my plan is ...

GREEN DAY

B - mango, yogurt
L - roast veg with couscous, tomato salad and tahini sauce thing (HEB), fruit for after
D - puy lentil salad with feta (HEA)

gin and slimline in the evening - 4 syns

And I'll probably have cheese and apple as a snack (HEA)

Tomorrow is going to be tricky. It is a big celebratory evening with a friend who is a professional foodie. The food and drink will be staggering and plentiful. There is no use kidding myself that I shall sit primly eating precisely three oatcakes and drinking 1 gin and slimline, so I plan to fill up on plenty of fruit and veg during the day and go swimming (if I can get an expert view on what chlorine is going to do to my hair Hmm), and consider it damage limitation!

FriendofDorothy · 15/03/2012 08:59

I will be back next week. I am on holiday for a few days :)

Huffpot · 15/03/2012 09:29

Oh here I am....not MIA just completley forgetful. i forgot to send my DoD through but stayed the same for the first time ever. normally if I dont lose I whack it on so a relief as I really havent been bad this week....I think it could be as TOTM is next week.

Also have a tentative date for my cyst removal surgery on 16th May so will be interesting to see if that gone affects my weight loss

has anyone tracked down TSP yet?

Welcome all the newbies :-)

grinningbee · 15/03/2012 09:50

Morning all

I feel so guilty for missing the Dod. Well done to those who posted, and yay Kid for a fab list topping week Smile

Huffpot that's not so far away is it? Hope they do it when they say. I'm seeing the consultant for Freddy on the 27th, so hope I'll have some sort of timescale as well.

TSP - Where the heck are you woman??? I reckon she's fallen into a jar of mincemeat in the kitchen...

Well, dd is still poorly. Was up again at 5.30 with a raging temp, so she ended up with me . We had our "exit interview" yesterday for our current abode. Man turned up with clipboard and looked over everywhere to make sure we haven't wrecked it. Told us to remember to take all our personal effects (yeah, 'cos obviously we'd leave our stuff behind!). He was ok actually, and told us some right horror stories of some houses he sees... I did find out that he went into the house 2 doors down from our new one (it's the end one on the right in the photo) so I managed to wheedle a bit of detail out of him Grin.

We should get to see inside the new one next week for ourselves (hurrah!) and then it's wait and see for a date. I am a little bit excited, but also nervous/sad. And it's showing with the eating habits .

TheScarlettPimpernel · 15/03/2012 10:28

Hello hello Grin Sorry everyone, MENTAL times chez Pimpernel so having a break from MN and healthy eating Blush. How lovely to be missed though

I'll be around on FB if anyone wants me which CLEARLY you all do - hope to try and stay slightly on the straight and narrow Hmm

Must dash but lots of love to all and welcome to the noobs: you're in the right place! Grin

grinningbee · 15/03/2012 11:03

There you are! Sorry things are busy at the mo - do come back again though when you can.

I knew you'd been in the mincemeat jar Wink.

I'm off to drag two small children around a supermarket for a few bits, so that will be fun in a "hole in the head" way.

Oh. While I remember, quick update on M. She had the results of the radiotherapy yesterday, and it has shrunk the brain tumour. Not sure what happens next (she's still having chemo) but that's very good news Smile

Have I mentioned lately that Thing is an idiot? Don't care if he reads this.

He's just phoned me to brag that he worked on a car earlier putting a supercharger in it. So he road tested it, at 130mph, not wearing a seatbelt (he never does). He thought I'd be impressed.

Wrong.

He got all defensive and asked if I wanted him to stay away tonight Hmm I've just thought of a new term of endearment actually, but it's gross. I really really want to say ArseMaggot Grin I suppose I shall just have to think it instead GrinGrin

kid · 15/03/2012 16:06

What beautiful weather today, didn't even need a coat but I had one with me just incase.
Not long now till the hot weather and we can no longer hide beneath several layers. I think i had better work extra hard at the gym tonight then.

kid · 15/03/2012 16:08

Why would you be impressed? That's just plain stupidity!
Maybe he is hoping you don't want him home tonight so he can go out drinking?

Hope you are having a good day despite his silly antics.

Hi tsp, don't stay away for too long Smile

grinningbee · 15/03/2012 16:12

Kid it has been lovely today, and yes I agree about the layers!

Shopping list to be written over the weekend, food shop on Monday. Sainsbo's are also saving me some banana boxes (aren't they nice!) so I'm picking those up too. Then I can start with all the gubbins in the kitchen cupboards, and maybe a few toys... joy joy!

OP posts:
grinningbee · 15/03/2012 16:18

Kid That very thought crossed my mind too re the drinking. It's ok today, dd still not right, but we'll get there. I'm going to pick up some paint colour charts tomorrow, and see what dd would like in her new room. That should be fun!

For the record, so far she wants pink carpet and pink walls...

grinningbee im sorry your having "thing" troubles (dont know what they are but guess your DP and drinking troubles?) and hope your situation improves for you.

kid · 15/03/2012 16:45

Moving is exciting, as long as you love the house you are moving to.
I haven't moved for almost 8 years now but I love my house so thats okay with me.

DD has pink walls in her bedroom with a giant flower painted on the wall. We are getting carpets soon to replace the laminate flooring, she has picked out a bright pink carpet. I think its time I steered her away from pink a little as I refuse to buy a pink carpet!

Natznjamesnbubs · 15/03/2012 17:02

Hedgepig · 15/03/2012 21:49

:-) Kid

debka · 15/03/2012 21:55

Hey everyone,

I'm still SWing, just been a bit busy with RL (dammit), haven't been able to keep up with all you lovely ones.

bee glad to hear you're on your way to your new place, hope DD is better soon.

kid well done on being top of the list and well done slinky for being on target Envy

I got my 4.5st award on Tues (yessssss) , fell off the wagon dramatically on Wednesday, clambered back on today. Really hoping to get my 5st by the end of March, then I'll have lost 5st in 6mo.

debka · 15/03/2012 21:56

BTW MadeInScotlandFromGirders I love your name A LOT.

Rianoceros · 15/03/2012 22:10

well done debka, that is fabSmile

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/03/2012 22:45

Well done debka :).

natz - is your bootcamp an exercise thing? I can understand why you feel frustrated, but sometimes good behaviour can just take a little while to show on the scales. Why don't you keep on posting your food diaries on here too, so that we can check that you are not slipping up on the plan without realising. Even long term sw'ers can slip up sometimes - there is a lady in my RL class who has reached target now, and she only discovered when it came up in convo at class this week that she is not supposed to have been having smoked mackerel freely!

MIS - I'm not sure where you have got your syn values from, but the website (which should be the most up to date source) says 8.5syns on green or 4 syns on red/EE for one reggae reggae chicken. So you'd actually be better still classing it as a green day and taking the 8.5syn hit, as otherwise you'd have 4 syns for it plus 6 syns for having one more HEB than you are allowed. So that takes you to 13 syns for the day. How many are you aiming for?

bee - stupid stupid Thing. AngryAngry Lucky that he didn't hit and kill anyone driving that fast. I hope he got caught on a camera and gets banned from driving (i'm sorry that that would probably make life more difficult for you, but people like him shouldn't be allowed on the roads).

Well done kid for topping the list! All this menu planning is paying off for you :).

Is your girly night this weekend pix? Have you worked out what to take?

Food for today:
B wholewheat spaghetti, cheese (HEa), banana
snack Another banana
L chicken livers in sweet chilli and garlic sauce (3.5syns), big plate of rocket/salad leaves, tomato & red onion salad
snack apple
D Chicken & mushroom risotto, broccoli
snack peanut hi fi bar (HEb), yogurt

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 16/03/2012 08:02

Thanks debka

csws i got my syn values from minimins, clearly they are out of date of i looked at an old thread on google! Will take the green day hit and have the 13syns. Im trying to eat as few syns as possbilbe really but on average 5-8 do you think thats ok or should i still be aiming for less?

Im feeling quite good today as i have on a size 14 denim skirt and 14 top (new clothes off my lovely sis she sent me last week) and i managed all 20 mins of my run last night.

Will pop on later with food diary for the day.

grinningbee · 16/03/2012 08:13

Debka Yay!!!!! Fab result!

Hedge a big well done to you, Mrs Free Membership for Life Target Lady Grin

CSWS Yes, I almost wish he'd been caught too. He's only a gnat's whisker away points wise as it is Angry. I didn't half tell him off... which made for a happy household last night! Oh, and Kid - he came home smelling of pub again (which he denied of course).

Well now. 4 months ago the council took down our soffits as they were crumbling, and contained asbestos. Then they left the roof open to the elements Hmm. Now that we're leaving (sometime!), today they have decided to turn up unannounced and put scaffolding up, and are going to take the roof apart to fix it all. Joy joy! I've just made them tea, so hopefully they will be nice Smile.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 16/03/2012 08:15

Good god - the noise!!! I reckon they're taking the whole roof off!! Oh, this will be fun today...

I'm officially back on the wagon today.
Here's the line being drawn-------- ( on phone so prob won't work properly).

I'm giving myself 10days to get back to pre Dd birthday weight. (11st 7) so I need to lose 4lbs. This will be tricky as its rugby weekend and mothers day coming up.

Food is:
B: weetabix(HEB) and rasps, milk (HEA)
L: Jacket pot, beans and salad
D: fish tray bake from Jamie's 30mjn meals. Will substitute fry light for oil so should be syn free.
I'm going to do Davina power of 5 today.

debka congratulations, you are doing so so well! I'm amazed. I'm also going to look at couch to 5k, I struggle with shin splints so might not be manageable.

Wolfwhistle at girders for a slinky size 14. Smile

bee grrr at thing, loving arsemaggot. GrinGrinGrin He shall henceforth be referred to as arsemaggot from now on

Sorry if I've missed anyone out.
