So, pull up a chair, settle in and make yourselves at home Smile

I love how we've all managed to regulate cycles like a whole load of nuns in a convent! Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/03/2012 21:15

lol pix! I've only had 3 periods in the last 4 years (+ 2 lochias), so don't think I'm synced with anyone at the moment!

Did you remember to have some superfree with your lunch too natz?

Thing - if you are reading this thread then please treat the lovely bee better and stop lying to her/everyone or we will hunt you down and stab you with pitchforks.

SlinkyB · 13/03/2012 21:40

Hello all, sorry not been around much. I had my star week last week, thank goodness. It was ten days late and I thought I might be pg, which wouldn't be the end of the world but I felt awful and would've been 7 months pg on my wedding day Shock which isn't ideal. Anyway, has been and gone now so I can't use that as an excuse for gaining this week.

I've been utterly terrible for the past ten days or so; have consumed vast quantities of cake, biscuits and chocolate and feel a bit grim about it to be honest. Must must get my arse in gear. Hey, if I kick your bum bee, will you kick mine? We must stick with it.

You lot are inspiring me to get the dreaded Shred dvd out again, I did weirdly enjoy it last year, and think I saw results. I'm brilliant at coming up with excuses not to exercise though. Maybe if I schedule it into my veh busy diary I might actually do it? .

Best of luck for all you lot weighing-in tomorrow, and a belated Big Fat welcome to any newcomers too Smile

kid · 13/03/2012 21:56

kid · 13/03/2012 22:44

I've made my lunch for tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to tasting it!
Its creamy chicken and something or other. If it tastes as good as it looks, I'll post recipe tomorrow night.

kid · 14/03/2012 07:15

I need some syns help before I make dinner tonight.
How many syns in a 400g can of stewed steak by sainsburys?

John west stewed steak is free, but they didn't have that one. If its high in syns, I'll make something else instead.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/03/2012 07:21

The syns for canned stewed steak changed recently kid. The sainsbury's one is 23 syns and the John west one is 29.5syns.

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 14/03/2012 07:22

Morning all.

Think al this hormone syncing has spread, i had just got my TOTM this morning but like cheese i have not a period for about 3-4yrs as on mini pill so get any (twas a wee shock this am!) so it would explian why i have been feeling all heavy in the belly this last week.

Anyhoo i thought i would share last nights trauma of tripping up and falling flat on my face during my run. I now have two skint knees and two matching palms good job i dont have a mini skirt to wear any time soon! As a result of my fall i have pulled something in the back of my knee but will still try the dreaded shred.

Meal plan for today will be;

B - Porridge and bananan HA and HB
L - 2 boiled eggs and mixed salad
D - Proberbly Spag bol although may make a lasagne.

Good luck to those weighing in today.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 14/03/2012 07:50

Morning everyone!

Ouch, girders. Those falls are always so cringeworthy. Did anyone come and check you were OK or did you jump up an carry on running?

I've had a massive gain, not unexpected due to my period and large amount of cake eating. So back on this bladdy never ending diet.
B: weetabix (heb) fruit
L: left over quorn chilli with a bit of salad
D: prob prawn stirfry again.

Must do an online shop, our cupboards are bare! It's the only way I stick to the diet.

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 14/03/2012 08:10

Cheese i was with SIL and she helped me up, i carried on running tho! I was also pleased to run the full 8 mins of each run esp as a couple of weeks ago i was struggling to finnish the 3 min runs, still nervous of thursday as its 20 min non stop running so will try and watch my step next time.

Im currently writing my shopping list for the week and im struggling as i hate meal palnning as its soooo repetative, might trawl the net for some ideas.

FriendofDorothy · 14/03/2012 08:21

I've had a massive gain this week too, despite not being as bad as I was ranting about.

Due to a number of things including time of the month and I am not convinced tghose scales are right!

So, I am not posting my weight up today. I am going away for a few days this evening so intend to eat without guilt and really enjoy meself. I will be back on Saturday and straight back onto the diet... but until then I aim to drink wine!

Hedgepig · 14/03/2012 08:43

Cheers Dot have a good few days away and enjoy yourself
I knew exercise was bad for you girders Grin
I'm working at home today as I'm having the electric meter changed, the chap is already here so should I go in or,continue my peaceful day at home? I really can't be arsed to go in and I will get more done here

LumpyLatimer · 14/03/2012 08:43

Morning all!

I have done my first proper weigh in, so at least I know what the starting point is (clue: I only just managed not to bawl Hmm). I am going to do SW I think - I can't join the classes for financial and logistic reasons, but I know the plan well and have the books...and you all seem to be going well on it, so....!

I will weigh in next Wed and hope I get Slimmer of the Week Grin. Good luck to everyone else....sorry about the gains. Onward and downward etc....

My food today won't be as SW friendly as I'd like because I've done no grocery shopping and didn't manage to do a packed lunch for work, but it'll be fairly virtuous...

B - skinny cappucino (not ideal I know but seriously, the cupboards are bare at home!) - HEA
L - avocado, rice and noodle salad (free for Green with some avocado syns)
D - I think I will just be using up some green veg and having it with steamed rice and some feta (HEA) sprinkled over, and plenty of fruit for pud.

Then tomorrow I will do a big-ass grocery shop so I have a houseful of SW, which I guess mostly means a mountain of bloody Muller Lights...

LumpyLatimer · 14/03/2012 08:44

Hedge clearly you should stay in.

No contest.

Hedgepig · 14/03/2012 08:51

I need to shop too I only did a big shop on Friday and now we have no milk, no fruit, no mullerlughts lights etc I do have a freezer full of low fat red meat but that will obviously kill me! (and my family)

Hedgepig · 14/03/2012 08:53

I feel so guilty about being at home even though I'm working (not MNing at all Grin)

grinningbee · 14/03/2012 09:12

Hedge Stay in Grin

Dd is not at Playgroup today as she has been sick and has got a temperature. And of course today is house inspection day and I have lots to do. Arse. Ds has started whinging and crying, and just thrown cheerios all over the floor. It's going to be one of those days...

Girders Ouchy to the skinned bits. Very stingy!

Oh, and I'm just on the tail end of my TOTM as well. What are we like!!

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 14/03/2012 10:02

Lumpy as you are starting from fresh I think you need to keep accurate food diaries of everything and preferably know the syn value of everything before you stuff anything in your gob Grin

LumpyLatimer · 14/03/2012 10:32

What you mean...like actually concentrate and put some sodding effort in?! Grin

Yeah, I think you're right . Roll on tomorrow's grocery shop. I am RARING to go!

Hedgepig · 14/03/2012 10:35

Yep Grin, serously I think it really helps in the first few weeks to write everything down because all those sneaky syns that get erased from the memory the moment they have been digested are there in black and white.

LumpyLatimer · 14/03/2012 10:36

I might actually print off a few diary sheets - you know like they give yuo when you join, and you hand it in feeling like a 5yr old handing in homework?

It's all about focusing isn't it. And I think the main thing with me is getting a good result quite early on, because it then gives you the incentive to carry on trying...

FriendofDorothy · 14/03/2012 10:51

The only way I can do it is to write everything down. I have a template on the computer and do it that way.

pixiestix · 14/03/2012 11:46

I stayed the same Angry I STAYED THE BLOODY SAME Angry Angry
But I tried soooo hard this week. Grrrrrrrrrr!
