Happy Jillian'ing all !!

Gosh this JM thing is addictive. I decided to have a day off 6W6P, as I've done it 7 out of the last 8 days.

But somehow I found myself dusting off 30DS, and telling DH that it would only be 20 mins before I got into the shower and ready to go out [disclaimer - we are 5 hours behind the UK, I haven't been in my PJs ALL day!]

And it is jolly hot and humid here. I've been exercising on a yoga mat, on top of the carpet, and wondering if that might be why I'm "glowing" so copiously.

Gherkinsmummy · 28/05/2012 17:10

CHST what is BR?

NeitherShreddedNorSmug · 28/05/2012 17:42

I just looked it up Gherkins, and I think it must be Body Revolution.

CHST - you are very brave!

rosalux · 28/05/2012 17:47

Hello All! I've been away from Ms Michaels for a while now due to illness and injury and I even attempted an alternative form of exercise (shhh!) but I couldn't keep away and started NMTZ this morning (exercises 1-3&7; will do 4-6&7 tomorrow and alternate) and plan to do 5x week for at least the next 4-6 weeks and then maybe a week on each level of 30DS to see how much I've improved since January. Haven't had a chance to read back over the thread yet, but I can feel the inspiration already. It's good to be back...

CHST · 28/05/2012 20:08

Yes Gherkin sorry, ody Revolution. I am on workout 7 and 8 for the next two weeks, plus cardio 2. These are probably on a par with the harder levels of ripped. I am cacking myself at the thought of workouts 9-12. In the DVDs, the people in the workout can't make it all the way through Shock

CHST · 28/05/2012 20:08

*Body

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 28/05/2012 21:36

NMTZ this evening, the sweat was horrendous! Did do surrenders with 2kg, as a month ago I could do these with any weights I'm pleased by progress.Think will do BFBM tomorrow, hope it's cooler!

CHST am interested in body revolution, can only see one review on amazon.com, seems positive though, would you recommend?

CHST · 29/05/2012 16:49

I am loving it so far. Found the first workouts relatively easy but I have done a lot of Jillian already. However, it is not available in the UK yet. Not sure when it will come out.
Did workout today and I think I have discovered one of Jillian's favourite torture moves...flyes in cresent pose, into warrior 3 with weights, swap legs and repeat....4 times of holding that warrior three pose with weights...I bloody did it though...sorry am proud of myself as I was cacking it a bit as a few of the people in the dvd crack and give up already from the second time...my arms!!!!
Something wierd though is I have come to really love rockstar jumps (minus the bruising on my bum from kicking it!)

Gherkinsmummy · 29/05/2012 17:39

Day 3 Level 2 Ripped and I am really struggling with all those blinking plank exercises.

Happypiglet · 29/05/2012 18:51

Had a look at the body revolution link that neither shredded linked and it looks like an awesome programme CHST waiting with baited breath for it here in UK!
gherkins mummy I hated that plank CV circuit in L2 Ripped. I preferred L3 TBH.
Well cooled down loads here today so attempted BFBM and did well. My gardener arrived just as I was starting the second go round of circuit 7....and I was forced to answer the door looking like a sweaty beetroot.... Hummmm not a great moment. Blush I was so red in the face that even 30minutes later after a shower when my mum arrived she thought I was sunburnt!! This is why I hate working out in public I go so red!
Might try NMTZ tomorrow... Yuck...

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 29/05/2012 19:22

Thanks CHST, sounds like she has some interesting combinations in there. I can do those moves on their own but doing in combination sounds like a challenge. Hopefully it will be released here.
BFBM today and a bike ride. Have realised that 6 weeks to holiday and that I made a bet with DD that I would have a 6 pack for it, major upping of effort required!

threestepsforward · 30/05/2012 13:49

Afternoon all Smile

I'm another one looking forward to Body Revolution being released over here. Sounds like a lot of DVDs though?

Well I have been phoning it in a bit recently due to heat. Have been exercising (one day off in a week), but definitely without much oomph!

Much cooler today though so no excuse...

Will be Jillianing this evening, not sure which yet, perhaps 6w6p (L1), which I haven't done for a while.

Knotty if you are reading hope all is going well with you. I'm seeing my best pal this weekend, who has just found out she is pregnant (her first) at 40 years of age! To say she is in shock is an understatement Grin.

Hope everyone else is doing well Smile

Evening all, just about to do a level of shred plus something else but not quite sure what yet, shall see how I feel at the end of shred! Still quite hot here so its still a major effort at the moment.

Happypiglet · 30/05/2012 19:21

Heat abated a bit here so did NMTZ this morning... Felt good... Done my longer DVDs for the week so will be back to a short one tomorrow.... Possibly L2 Ripped or Shred....neither of those L2 s are my favourites.
Lost another pound so feeling chipper....although should perhaps not have celebrated with cheese and biscuits for lunch!!!

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 30/05/2012 20:13

Did L1 of shred but upped the weights, haven't done if for a while and didn't remember she started off with press ups! I did then recall thinking at the time I first did shred, "press ups - this is only level1" I was only used to Davina DVD's! May be I should dig ones of those out and see how it feels now. Also did 3 circuits of BFBM, it's measuring day on Friday so am putting in the effort. Well done on the pound off happy, it does make it worthwhile.

notyummy · 31/05/2012 08:44

L4 Ripped at 6am. Still hating the chamgalunga press ups! Managed a 5 mile run on Tuesday and plan to run again tomorrow. Fingers crossed the dodgy knee holds up!

Most impressed with the Body rev stuff. Sounds tough!

gingercat12 · 31/05/2012 12:18

I had a piece of cake yesterday. Felt so guilty. So L1 6W6P with extra effort. I am mostly a beginner, but getting better at side-planks. Just to think that in January plank-jacks were completely beyond me... I cannot make piece with mountain climbers though. It could be that it is always a bit later in the programme, and I am knackered by then.

There are so many Jillian dvds I would like to buy, but decided to revisit the Shred and Ripped soon.

moajab · 31/05/2012 13:12

I struggle with the mountain climbers as well. And I think the reason why I couldn't do the side planks on my left hand was because my arms were so knackered after the mountain climbers!

Happypiglet · 31/05/2012 15:01

Did Ripped L2 today. Still can't do all the plank CV stuff in the first circuit. It is my arms that can't manage it after all the rows, serving biceps and chest presses in the strength work. I find that I can do mountain climbers in say BFBM when my arms have not already been pounded into oblivion!! Standing mountain climbers are beyond me tho....its a coordination thing!!

Gherkinsmummy · 31/05/2012 16:36

Stayed in bed this morning as very tired after a bit of a late night, but will run home tonight. Am feeling quite pleased with myself as I'm wearing a dress that I haven't fitted into since my son was born, so the Jillian effect is working!

threestepsforward · 31/05/2012 21:59

Yay Gherkin on getting back into the dress, and to all the other weight loss / slimming good news stories Smile

I did nothing today and did L1 6W6P yesterday.

Gingercat I'll raise you your piece of cake with a giant share-type-bag of minstrels. Bought them for me and DP to share and I'd eaten the lot before he had even returned home Blush Blush Blush

When will I learn that I can't be around chocolate... I have a serious problem!!!

Ah well, nothing I can do about it now...onwards we go, I will most definitely be Jillian'ing tomorrow...

superdeeduper · 01/06/2012 22:24

I have to confess I had rather a lot of rose wine last night which left me craving carbs all day today. No Jillian today either and ended up having pizza for tea.
On the plus side though after 3 weeks I am starting to fit back into jeans I couldnt even button! Still a long way to go and I have only lost weight in my first week then it has plateaued
Loving getting results so quickly!

Happypiglet · 01/06/2012 22:46

L2 Ripped again today....negated by cake and Chinese takeaway..
I am blaming my raging pmt.... Off for a week camping in Norfolk tomorrow so no Jillianing for a while...and plenty of fried breakfasts...let's hope I do not put too much back on again... See you all in a week!

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 01/06/2012 22:48

Nothing for me today, legs aching from killer l2 and 4 circuits of nmtz yesterday. Child free day tomorrow so think we will be going on v.long cycle, must conserve strength.
Did measure today, lost just under 3 inches in total this month, most from stomach area, good for 6 pack bet with DD but could do with losing more off hips and thighs, wonder why you don't lose the flab uniformally? Still it's going. Have a good long weekend.

gingercat12 · 02/06/2012 15:26

Hope you all have better weather than us. still braved it and had outdoor jubilee party in nursery.
I will have to learn not to weigh myself every week. or eat even less. although fitting into clothes is even better than the losing weight part. it seems we all happily experience it Grin had to tighten my sports bra i bought when started taking Jillian seriously, ie February

Yesterday during the big shop I was total harpy, so whole family scampered away to let me Jillian. was much happier afterwards.
