Hi is MFP My Fitness Pal?

I had the 30 Day shred DVD but have lost it in my latest house move. Very annoying, will have to have another look. Have seen great results with other people.

Racheybabez · 20/02/2012 15:03

I'm now doing The Shred, C25k and MFP - surely I should lose something by Easter. Starting weight 68kg.

BettyKitchen · 20/02/2012 17:46

I'm putting 180kcal down for the shred.

Holidaysressential · 20/02/2012 21:24

Betty - what is c25 k?

Did shred level 1 tonight - not too bad although might feel it tomorrow

Would love to join you. Have actually been sort of doing this since Christmas and have lost some weight. However, children off sick from school and then Half Term have sort of messed things up a little. I've now got up to level 2 of the Shred, and I'm going to start going to an aerobics class and do a run once per week too.

The MFP has been a real eye-opener in terms of calories. Already made me make a few switches in my life - even reduced alcohol consumption! Must admit I still find it difficult to keep within 1200 calories so would love to know any tips you pick up. That probably explains why I started in Jan at 10 2 but I've only got down to 9 10. Determined to shift some more by Easter though. I'm Louismum66 btw if anyone would like to link up on MFP.

worley · 20/02/2012 21:36

I did day 1 level 1 of 30 day shred this evening and back on track with mfp. lost three stone last year following these program's and need to get back on track again. ASAP!! starting weight today of 77.8kg :((

BettyKitchen · 20/02/2012 22:00

HE C25K is the Couch to 5km running programme...there's a thread on the board - have a look! Do people at their exercise calories?
Tried slimline tonic yesterday it was horrible - all I could taste was artifical sweetener...more Gin needed maybe Smile

Holidaysressential · 21/02/2012 11:05

Right porridge for breakfast, sandwich and fruit and yoghurt for lunch - any supper ideas - I really can't do low carbs so ideas for some healthy suppers please

I'm in!

Am planning on giving up sweets, chocolate, biscuits and cakes for Lent - in fact, all the crap that I eat in between meals. I'm hoping to lose a stone by Easter so a little bit ambitious but I eat a lot of crap and I've got more to lose after that.

I purchased the 30 Day Shred DVD last year but am ashamed to say that it is still in it's cellophane wrapper and safely hidden under the TV table Blush. Perhaps now would be a good time to retrieve it and blow off the dust Grin

I know I can lose weight - I've done it before. But here I am again, back to where I started 3 years ago. I've given myself a good talking too and I reckon I'm ready and in the right frame of mind to get started.

Racheybabez · 21/02/2012 14:27

done 30 day shred last night and stuck in my 1200 calories yesterday on mfp woohoo
wonder how long to see results?

BettyKitchen · 21/02/2012 14:44

Ran this morning - burnt up 350kcal - do I eat them or save them for extra treats at the weekend? Or bank them in the hope of faster weight loss - what's everyone else doing with their exercise calories?

Racheybabez · 21/02/2012 16:01

i am trying to bank them but its not always working especially when pancakes are around lol
think a hour on zumba tonight and 30ds should help Blush

BettyKitchen · 21/02/2012 16:43

Pancakes made and eaten! I stopped myself having more than one - which is a bloody miracle....

countrybump · 21/02/2012 16:50

I'm only on day two of shred, but I hurt already!

Lower fat pancakes - make with skimmed milk and just one egg. Cook with a spray low cal oil substitute and eat with just a drizzle of maple syrup. Or, to make just one pancake a bit more filling, a chopped banana and a drizzle of maple syrup. Yum!

Racheybabez · 21/02/2012 17:24

oooo sounds good wish i'd checked before getting the betty crockers out

proberly would of enjoyed those the whole way through my fat ones i was feeling very guilty only had 3 normally would of been 5/6

BettyKitchen · 21/02/2012 18:53

Thoughts towards Low carb eating were quickly dismissed this evening when I looked at what I had on the weekly meal planner - potato pizza! Will end up having a small piece with a field of green and enough left over for a glass of Wine.

Will have to try to plan meals with higher protein next week! Blush

keepmoving · 21/02/2012 21:17

Can I join please? I've ordered the dreaded shred dvd (£5 on Amazon) so will able to join in self inflicting agony getting fit.

9lbs by Easter would be perfect, I'm giving up wine for Lent so that should help!

Holidaysressential · 21/02/2012 22:28

2nd shred done and have kept to calories today - although I am eating my extra shred calories ( using 20 mins circuit on MFP which gives me an extra 170 calories). Also did brisk walk. Ate an orange during kids tea which seemed to stop me diving to finish fish fingers. Didn't do pancakes today as one child had eaten them twice at preschool ( he does am and session today and had persuaded the teacher to let him make them twice) and the other one hates pancakes so no temptation luckily

Yes, I'm an old hand at MFP. I lost about a stone and a half last year (low carbing and using MFP) but 6 lbs crept back on over Christmas. I have restarted my efforts but half term derailed me slightly!

The challenge is keeping motivate. I find the exercise most difficult to keep up, I work long days but am hoping the 20 mins Shred sessions will help!

Racheybabez · 22/02/2012 10:21

ok i no its not monday lol but got scales today starting weight 11 stone hope with this to get to 9 soon
