Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

waiting, 44lbs! That is an impressive weight loss! Well done!

Well done to ornellaia too. Nice having little stars, isn't it?! They seem to have the same motivating effect on me as they do on my toddler!

Online WI this morning (I go to a meeting during the week for the official WI, but I've found it helpful to keep my online one to Sunday to keep me motivated) - lost 0.9kg in the last week. I'd not done my measurements for a couple of months, so I repeated those - a total of 10.7 inches off since I started! Grin

Now the aim is another 1.6lbs and I will then have reached my Goal...

waitingtobeamummy · 10/06/2012 16:32

Thanks bartlet it hasn't been that difficult, but now I'm worried I'm not going to manage this last bit, I think I'm just nervous as it'll mean I can get what I want at last.
Only 1..6lb to go? That's brilliant!bet you are so chuffed!

LauLu · 10/06/2012 21:31

Hi all, v pleased to have found you! I joined WW at end of January when DC2 turned 1, have lost 2 stone so far and got my 10% but still got 6 stone to go and feeling a bit overwhelmed by that at the mo. Haven't weighed in for 2 wks but I WILL go on Tuesday!

KKKKaty · 11/06/2012 12:52

Hi All

Lots of people doing really well - well done you all! I dropped three pounds this week, which puts me back on target for my mid August deadline, but I've got so much going on between now and then (like moving house to another town miles away!) that I'm concerned I'm just going to end up eating takeaways and it'll all go pearshaped (literally!) Still, I got my 10% star this week too, so that was nice, and I am now no longer in the overweight BMI category - now down to 24.9!

CiderwithBuda · 12/06/2012 21:53

Hi all. Well done on all losses. We are doing well!

Well you are. I had a gain this week! Only half a pound and I was expecting more so am not too disappointed.

Back on track now. Although had lunch out today and consumed rather more points than I should!

BAck to basics tomorrow!

hodda · 12/06/2012 22:04

Hi Everyone,

I hope you don't mind me jumping aboard. I joined WW at the end of April and have so far lost 18lb. I've got a very long way to go yet but I can honestly say the Propoint system is the easiest 'diet' I've ever been on. So far, so good, I haven't got fed up with it. The WW app is a big help to me as it reminds me to track every meal each day. Its nice to see many of you on here and giving support and advice to others. We all need a bit of backup now and again lol

hellsbells76 · 13/06/2012 14:09

Finally started losing again this week - only 0.9lbs but it all helps - after a static few weeks...combination of being back out on placement (am a student midwife so it's all night shifts and cake!) and a few weekends where I threw tracking to the wind. I have a wedding to go to in a month and a lovely dress I want to wear but which is groaning at the seams right now, so it's back to the discipline! Yesterday managed to ignore all the delicious looking cakes in the staffroom and ate a bunch of grapes instead, so hoping this willpower lasts! Well done everyone on their losses and hello to all the new people :)

LauLu · 13/06/2012 14:38

I put 1lb on yesterday at weigh in but actually ok with that cos if I'd been weighed last week ( no meeting cos of bank Hol) it would have been much worse than that! I'm really tired today as up with DS all night so have ended up blowing my weekly points ( tiredness is my snacking trigger!) by grazing all morning on kids's snacks and biscuits and having a massive bacon bitty for lunch! So that's it for treats for the rest of the week for me!

LauLu · 13/06/2012 14:39

*butty not bitty - damn iPhone!

Borntobeamum · 14/06/2012 11:38

Hello everyone.

I've been doing ww for 13 months and lost 85lbs. That's 6st 1.
I'm on 28 points. I started at 40.
I now weigh 14st 4lbs. I was 20st 5lbs when I began.
I now am wearing size 20. I was in 30/32.

Writing it down is good for me......it reminds me how far I've come and contues to motivate me on days when I feel as if I NEED to eat.

Keep going everyone.

hodda · 14/06/2012 11:57

Wow ''borntobeamum' way to go! That's amazing, well done you. I've been going to WW for a total of 7 weeks and have lost 18lb but hope to lose 10 stone+. I've a long way to go but reading of your success is inspiring and spurs me on. Keep up the good work

LauLu · 14/06/2012 16:13

Well done born! That's fantastic! I'd be writing it down too! Smile

Debs75 · 15/06/2012 13:31

Wi in this morning and stayed the same. Not too disappointing as had period this week and had to give in to some chocolaty goodness.

CiderwithBuda · 15/06/2012 14:40

Wow Borntobeamum! That is fantastic. You should be very proud of yourself.

Stick around here - some of us will be around for a while!

A girl who goes to the meeting I go to has lost 90 pounds. I find here really inspiring as she is my height and started at around the same weight as me.

ornellaia · 17/06/2012 10:28

Wow borntobemum that's brilliant.

WI for me this morning, 2lbs off this week.

LauLu · 17/06/2012 10:35

I'm suffering with insomnia at the moment as was up till 4am this morning Sad unfortunately I spent a lot of that time eating for want of something else to do and now feeling very Angry with myself!

CiderwithBuda · 20/06/2012 08:55

Where is everyone???

2lb off for me this week.

And then ruined it by having most of my 49 last night!! And am 7 lbs heavier than I wanted to be at this stage. I wanted to be 14 stone by 8 July which is not going to happen as I am still 14 st 12. Concerted effort now to lose 7 lbs by 8 July.

Exercise exercise exercise!

craftynclothy · 20/06/2012 10:24

Hello! Can I join you?

I've signed up to WW online as it's a bit difficult for me to get to a group. I have a friend who has lost 2st since Jan and looks great for it and has said she feels much better for doing it...so I've decided to give it a go. Hoping to eventually lose 3st.

popsicle1984 · 20/06/2012 22:05

I'm starting weightwatchers tomorrow as Friday is when the 1 year countdown to my wedding starts! Eek! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! Can't believe how much some of you have lost. FYI I'm 5'2 and approx 14 stone, size 16.

ChocolateGirl · 21/06/2012 20:03

Hi, I've just joined WeightWatchers but haven't got one of those calculator things. So, I've had half a pack of Red Thai Chicken from Asda for my tea - how do I work out how many PPs I've eaten!
Thanks!

Debs75 · 22/06/2012 12:24

Stayed the same again this week, not surprising as I have been craving bread like mad.
I've checked my weight logs as well and I trend to lose one week then stay the same for a couple then lose some more. It is annoying as the loss is so slow but dp thinks it will stay off easier this way.

wizzler · 23/06/2012 13:36

Checking in... I lost 2.5 stone last year ( with WW) and was delighted, but I have fallen off the wagon and have put on 10lbs or so... met an old WW pal yesterday and I think my head is in the right place to come back..... So I figure if I type it into this thread then I must do it.. so henceforth I will not trouble the family packets of maltesers anymore... I will track and exercise because I know it works, and I will be in better shape for my hols in August ....

sunam · 24/06/2012 11:36

Hiya... hope it is ok to join as a WW newbie? Started on WW online 18 June needing to loose 10-15 kg but aiming for the first 6kg first! Never done a proper diet plan before - been in denial about being overweight for ages!! So far, okayish. Managed to reach day 6 with 23 weeklies remaining and using my daily 26 and earned 9 AP which I've not used.... BUT... my portions are so small versus what I am used to. I miss cheddar, pesto, crisps and potatoes and rice. I can eat tiny amounts of these foods if I want to stay within pp... Delighted to find this thread in Mumsnet...Hope we can all inspire each other...

sunam · 24/06/2012 11:39

Wow Borntobeam! So amazing - really good to hear! Very impressed :)

Debs75 · 24/06/2012 13:58

Went to a wedding yesterday so went hopelessly off the wagon.Blush
I think it will be the alcohol that did it, too much free wine and knowing I had no kids to look after till dinnertime today. I didn't get drunk but definitely indulged. I did hold back on the food, apart from a glorious sherry soaked trifle.Grin

I am back on track now though

Sunam I miss sandwiches the most, and bread in general which is probably why I craved it so much on Thursday. I have tried to make little changes which are easy to live with. When I did WW 12 years ago I cut out biscuits with a cup of tea and I still don't have a biscuit with a cuppa. This time I have cut out snacking on a night, before Christmas I would regulary have a bowl of cereal or toast after I had put the kids to bed. I don't miss the late night snack, I just have to make sure I don't replace them with something else
