Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

I've not really been tracking the last fortnight and have been eating out lots, so I was pleased to see that I've stayed the same (well, lost 0.3kg) on my weigh in yesterday. I've decided to see that as an encouragement as I must be doing something right to not be concentrating very much but not putting any weight back on.

poorbuthappy · 29/05/2012 07:55

WI'd on Sunday. Lost 2lb.
Slowly slowly...keepy offy!!

Rezolution · 29/05/2012 11:41

Hi folks! WI last night and I had lost 2 and a half pounds. That was hard work because I didn't eat more than 23 points on any day and did not touch any weekly/activity points.

CiderwithBuda · 29/05/2012 13:45

Hi all.

Bartlett - well done. Staying in control is good!

Poorbuthappy - good result. Two pounds a week is perfect.

Rez - yay! Glad you got a good loss. Just worried it won't be sustainable for you. 23 points is not a lot. Be careful you don't starve yourself.

Well I weighed in and loss 3.5 over two weeks taking me to a total of 30 pounds off in total. Very happy.

Even more so as I was measured at Tonacise and over the last two months I have lost 29 inches!!!! Grin. Five off my middle. My clothes are finally catching up on the scales.

ornellaia · 29/05/2012 14:21

Inigo - I'd be pleased not to gain any weight with AF, 1lb off is great

Poorbuthappy - 2lbs is great

Bartlet - sounds like you've got the hang of it if you can stay about the same without really trying

Rez - well done on the loss, glad you're eating more and getting the results

Cider - 30lbs total is great, can I ask how long it's taken you? I've got 26lbs to lose (21 now!) and would like to do it by September if I can. But I want to keep it off so I'm trying to do it sensibly.

I had a bit of a bad day yesterday, took the DC to the seaside and had fish & chips for lunch, but I had a kids portion and a diet coke so a definite improvement on what I'd usually have. I am making up for it today by being extra virtuous Halo

CiderwithBuda · 29/05/2012 16:35

Ornellaia - hi - I started on 10 Jan. It's been slow but steady. I am now just over a third of the way to my goal.

ornellaia · 29/05/2012 17:17

Thanks cider, that's brilliant, I know slow and steady is the best way. I'm usually very impatient and somehow expect to be able to lose 2 stone in 2 weeks, then give up when it mysteriously doesn't happen. I'm really trying to do it properly this time - setting myself a realistic target weight and trying to be realistic about how long it will take. I'm hoping to be slim by September but as long as I'm slimmer than I am now I think I'll be happy.

You must be really pleased with how well you're doing Grin

hellsbells76 · 29/05/2012 17:25

Well done everyone - some great results!

I had a NSV (is that right? Non-scale victory?) as I went to a party on Saturday and for the first time in ages didn't cringe in horror when thd inevitable photos started appearing on facebook! In fact from some angles I look pretty good! A few people who I haven't seen for a while made some nice comments too. Although thd diet went out of the window due to all the beer and cake at the party plus hangover comfort food in Sunday and I've gained a couple of pounds but I'm confident i can lose it all again soon enough :)

Have a good week all!

ilovesooty · 29/05/2012 18:16

Congratulations on the great results!

I've just been weighed and lost another 5lb.

Now off for a curry where I will try to make wise choices.

Debs75 · 30/05/2012 09:02

Got my computer back so am back to tracking everyday. Still doing the pic diary which is looking pretty scary in the amount I eat, although it is less thrn last year. Resisted the mid week weigh ins so am making myself wait till Fri morning

GravityDefier · 30/05/2012 10:25

Hey everyone, do you still remember me? Blush

I gave up during finals and dissertation time, I just couldn't do it. I am back on track now though and have lost 4 pounds the last three weeks, despite going out for dinner once.

Got some balls coming up and don't fit into my dresses but I will have to make do. Those nights will also be quite hard food wise but I will try to be as good as possible.

Debs75 · 01/06/2012 15:14

WI and I have reached my 5% goalGrin almost a stone off at last.

BartletForAmerica · 01/06/2012 17:47

Well done gravity and Debs.

redrosette · 02/06/2012 22:06

I'm going to rejoin WW as of tomorrow. I need help with avoiding the family sized bars of dairy milk I eat daily Blush as well as crisps and cakes during the day. I need all the motivation and kicks up bum you can offer :)

notpoorcosiamQueen · 02/06/2012 22:10

WI tomorrow morning.

I've drunk wine tonight. And when I say wine, i don't mean 1 glass.

Fuck, I'm going to be sooo disappointed.

And going away Monday for the night with DH on our own to eat, drink and see Coldplay at the Emirates. So not much weightwatching happening there then.

notpoorcosiamQueen · 03/06/2012 08:23

Morning all.

Well goes to show what I know!!

Another 2lb off.
Grin

CiderwithBuda · 03/06/2012 09:04

Well done on all the losses!

I feel like I am having a funny week. Haven't been tracking properly. Been eating ok so I shouldn't gain but I feel less in control. No meeting for me this week as mine is on Tuesdays. Then off to Dublin on Wednesday for a few days.

Need to stay in control!

Redrosette - the first three days will be hardest. I am at the stage that I know that the feeling of eating something bad is not worth it. The feeling of getting on the scales and seeing a loss is much better! If you want something chocolatey try a CurlyWurly - only 3 points.

ornellaia · 03/06/2012 10:34

Morning all, well done on the 2lbs notpoor.

I did my WI this morning and only 1lb off, I figure that's only to be expected given I had a fairly large loss last week. I've been feeling fed up all weekend and craving chocolate, I had 1 chocolate biscuit yesterday and managed to leave the rest in the packet - unheard of for me!

salemsparklys · 03/06/2012 14:01

Hi can I join in?
Started last Monday, not sure if there is a WI tomorrow as no one said so shall have to call and find out.

busymummyabouttogetbusier · 05/06/2012 10:54

Hi there
Mind if I join in? I'm 10st 9 and want to lose 1 to 2 stone to keep me within the lower bmi range for my height (5ft 6). I'm apple shaped so size 12 clothes feel tight and I hate the fat on my back. I was following ww until Christmas and lost 10lb initially but I've only put on 2lb since I stopped tracking and ate whatever I liked. For the last 2 weeks I've been tracking religiously, I haven't felt like I'm missing out and I'm not too hungry thanks to lots of veg and fruit (but no more than 5 portions fruit a day and only 1 banana a day). I eat well as I've always cooked from scratch and I'm enjoying the occasional meal out which I carefully point. I've gone back to exercising lots too - 5 days a week or so I run, spin, do Zumba or aerobics. I ran a half marathon in April and have never been fitter in my life ( I was the fat ugly child at school!). But I'm not losing any weight! I'm so frustrated! I can't understand why I only gained 2lb eating and drinking whatever I wanted but can't lose anything now. My clothes don't feel looser and I don't look any more toned either so I can't convince myself that fat is going and being replaced by muscle. I have taken my measurements and will repeat them in a month.

The only thing I can think that might be hampering my progress is that I am taking Prozac. I have started to reduce the dose. I'm hoping to stop medication altogether but think that's unlikely as we're moving to Oz at the end of the year and I'm worried I'll destabilise again. Any thoughts gratefully received.

ilovesooty · 05/06/2012 19:54

Hi salem and busymummy

Been to WI - another 2lb off.

busymummyabouttogetbusier · 07/06/2012 11:32

stepped on the scales today and finally 2lb off! Was starting to get v disheartened but just need to keep plodding on counting these bloody points!

Debs75 · 08/06/2012 08:44

WI this morning and 1lb off. That takes me to a stone off, in just under 4 months. Slow going I know but at least it is coming off. Only another 4 stone to go so looking forward to a slim christmas 2013.

ornellaia · 10/06/2012 08:57

Hi salem and busymummy

Congrats to debs, sooty and busymummy on the losses

3lbs off for me this week, and I got a 5% star on my online tracker thingy.

waitingtobeamummy · 10/06/2012 09:24
