So whether you have a little or a lot to lose, join me for a weekly weigh in - we could even have a slimmer of the week.

Just add your stats (don't be scared) - but I think it works if you're really honest.

Ditsydotty
Joining Date: 3rd Jan
Starting weight: 11st 1lb
Target weight: 10st 4lb
Why: Just want to be more comfortable in my clothes that are a bit tight & I'm going to be 40 later this year.
Method: Mainly low fat with a vague eye on carbs

I hope there are some others out there, who are up for a weekly weigh in & some mutual support & tips.

Have been really good so far, although did succumb to a small bag of DDs
chocolate buttons and a mini roll last night. However have successfully stayed on the wagon for seven days now, and my clothes definitely feel less tight! Like you say though, ditsydotty, it's easy to get overconfident .....

Tyson86 · 07/01/2012 16:18

Well done Floss!
I have had a mad clean up session today for 2 hours so was getting giddy and ate 2 chocolate digestives but other than that I have been living off salad. Am really bored of lettuce now so treating myself to mashed pots, chicken and cabbage with gravy for dinner.
I never realised just how exciting I would find that simple meal Grin

Housewifefromheaven · 07/01/2012 16:25

Can I join please.

Weigh 9 stone 8
Target 9 stone
Height 5'3

Ditsydotty · 08/01/2012 10:05

Welcome to our Tuesday weigh in Housewifefromheaven & Rootietootie. Only 2 days before the weigh in so let's all be extra good! I've been ok but nibbled a few bits of homemade choc fudge yesterday & had wine with my friend. But apart from that have been in control. Going to make up for the wine today by being really strict, but I do find it so much harder at the weekend.

OP posts:
rootietootie · 08/01/2012 10:23

Yh its the weekends that kill me, I've been really good all week, porridge for brekkie, and sensible lunch and tea. Ruined it all by having takeaway last night :(

GeekLove · 08/01/2012 13:56

Me too!
GeekLove
Starting weight 10st 10lb
Target 9st 7lb
Height 158cm/5' 2"
Plan Actually using MyFitnessPal although it is tedious to track intake. Other than that aim for a low GI low sugar approach. Plan to incorporate running into routine and weights using home dumbell set.
Aims Want to get body back and get more energy dammit! Used to have a rock-hard constitution too :( Also most of my clothes I still can't wear as ds 9m is still bf although not so much during day. More a long term plan to beAt the bulge before it gets too well established.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 08/01/2012 13:58

I have been really good - eating small meals 3 times a aday, 30 mins on the exercise bike, recording everything on food focus.

I am very tempted to weigh myself but am not going to until Tuesday!

rootietootie · 08/01/2012 14:39

Has just ordered ea active and your shape for the kinect on the provisio that I cancel the gym which I can never get to now and do these exercise games at least 3/4 times a week!

2kidsintow · 08/01/2012 19:42

Need to be more disciplined this week. All week my results have been ok, but could have been better. Chippy tea AND a burger king this weekend. Just about OK or slightly over on cals each day, but some exercise to compensate.

Starting full time this week so hopefully that will help as I've got to be more organised all week anyway.
Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Tyson86 · 08/01/2012 21:04

I am really enjoying this exercise and healthy eating Grin
My body no longer aches and I feel as though I have the energy to run miles, I am sure I still coudnt but still, the feeling is great!
Also I have lost another pound Grin
I know it will start getting harder to lose the weight so am making sure I really enjoy this first week Grin

Ditsydotty · 08/01/2012 22:08

TUESDAY weigh in list

One more full day until the weigh in. I'll be jumping on those scales first thing Tuesday. Got a posh works do Thursday - my dress fits, (sigh of relief, finally plucked up courage to try it on) but spanx definitely required. So glad I made the effort this week as otherwise would have been way too tight.

rootietootie - we've got just dance for the kinect, that's a good work out & loads of fun. Let me know what the your shape is like. Well done to those who managed to stay away from the scales this week too, it's so tempting to step on early.

Tyson, sounds like you have had a great week - I'm inspired Smile

Morning. I think my scales are on the blink, how convenient. I am interested to read Dr John Briffa' diet viewpoint in today's Times. Not sure where it leaves me, but I am trying to avoid the 'D' word and change the way I eat. I guess it will take longer.
Have a good day everyone.

pigleychez · 09/01/2012 15:21

Well im afraid im going to bow out of this weeks weigh in :(

DD1 (3)has developed chicken pox over the weekend. She has it bad, really bad! The spots are everywhere and she's really suffering. DD2 (19mths) has been extremely grumpy and clingy so wonder how long it will be until she's spotty too! Its hard work and what with the unsettled nights, im running on empty. Dont have the effort to exercise or pay attention to what im eating!

Once these poxy pox are over i'll definitely be back! Good luck everyone for tomorrows weigh in though :)

Flossbert · 09/01/2012 19:16

Oh dear pigley Sad. Hope they're better soon.

I'm dreading tomorrow. I'm trying to get DH's books done for year end which I really HATE doing - last night I totally pigged whilst doing it, and I reckon I've got another three hours to do tonight Angry

Must resist DDs chocolate buttons... Must resist DDs chocolate buttons...

Ditsydotty · 09/01/2012 19:26

So weigh in tomorrow - however it suits. Personally I go for the completely naked, first thing in the morning, before any sips of tea ! Just to make sure I give myself the best chance.

Welcome doradoo and TobyLeWolef - I'll update the list later.

OP posts:
FaffTastic · 09/01/2012 20:18

Had a bit of a bad weekend so not feeling too positive about the weigh-in tomorrow morning. Back to full willpower mode today though and know I HAVE to loose some weights. I work in quite a male dominated environment and it doesn't help that some of them have noticed my recent weight gain and see fit to comment on it. Cheeky feckers gits

30 day shred DVD has arrived but still sitting unopened. Had an unfortunate incident with a grate and a pair of high heels which means my ankle is banjaxed at the moment. Toning plates are the only 'excercise' I can currently manage.

Will post my hopeful weight loss tomorrow.

Tyson86 · 09/01/2012 21:25

It is our wedding anniversary today so had chocolate cake and a glass of wine and was feeling really tired but kicked my own arse and did my dvd.
My birthday friday and hoping nobody buys me chocolates! Grin

JugglingWithSnowballs · 09/01/2012 21:41

Hi all !
I weighed myself today and seemed to be almost exactly 11 st.
So, was thinking 10 st 7lbs would be better !
Just more healthy and going in the right direction Smile

Method -
Greater awareness/ smaller portions
Cut down on obvious naughties such as chocolate and hopefully wine
Cut out sugar in tea again, after 1/2 tsp. crept back in !
Get to the swimming pool once a week whilst DCs at school.

If I follow through with this it will be my first diet ever ( well into my forties )
Good luck all !

Flossbert · 10/01/2012 07:12

Get in! 9 st 11! Hooray! This week I will mostly be doing more of the same!

Good luck everyone else!

AfternoonNap · 10/01/2012 07:36

Oh dear! Can I join?
Really hoping that writing this down will make it more real! Yo yo dieter with Atkins but find that it only works when you're actually doing it - doh!! Need something more sustainable with family/ work commitments so going for my own blend (God help me!) which will be a low GI diet, low carb blend. Hoping that including Atkins-bad things like fruit/pulses/slow release carbs like brown rice and avoiding Atkins- good things like high fat cheese etc. might do the trick. Would really welcome advice/opinions so weigh in please :) Also - time to say bye bye to the biggest demon in my life - alcohol.
So - here goes;
Weight this morning 88 kg (BMI 28)
Target weight 75 kg (BMI 24.5)
Height 175 / 5'9"
Goal - Easter

doradoo · 10/01/2012 07:48

Morning all - today's weigh-in 84.2kg.

On track but need to get past the hunger pangs stage then should be 'in the zone' so to speak!
