So whether you have a little or a lot to lose, join me for a weekly weigh in - we could even have a slimmer of the week.

Just add your stats (don't be scared) - but I think it works if you're really honest.

Why: Just want to be more comfortable in my clothes that are a bit tight & I'm going to be 40 later this year.
Method: Mainly low fat with a vague eye on carbs

I hope there are some others out there, who are up for a weekly weigh in & some mutual support & tips.

I have to agree with GetOrf, Toby - if you're doing all you can with the exercise and diet and it still isn't shifting maybe you just are the weight you're supposed to be - body shape can be key to how you look rather than the bare stats.

Nothing wrong with keeping on with it though if you're determined to try and lose some - at least you're doiong wonders for your fitness levels!

Me and DH, too, are thinking of trying for another babber soon and I know that will prompt me to up my cake eating which is one of the reasons I want to get my weight down a bit before I can let myself go!

hey let me join you stragglers, ive had a bit of a shitty week but managed to lose 2lb, im down to 11st 6lb (well maybe im a bit closer to 7lb) but im ignoring the ounces :)

I'll admit it and I wimped off the weigh in last week after a particuarly indulgent weekend away. Now I have found that I am now 3lb lighter than 2 weeks ago!
It seems my plan to avoid most bread/pasta/rice and potatoes is working along with MFP and running with a double buggy!
Remains to be seen how long the next plateau is.
I highly recommend swapping refined carbs for beans/peas/lentils - half the time they are cheaper, more filling and tastier.
It is something of a noisy diet though...

1lb off this week, which I'm happy about, considering that I have eaten McDonald's breakfast, cake and loads of carbs slipped up a few times.

Why: I'm definitely too fat for my height (5'3"), clothes are getting uncomfortable and I'm going on holiday at the beginning of April.
Method: Basic cutting down/vague calorie counting/keeping an eye on carbs. And exercise -- Shredding, various DVDs, being more active in general.

Well done Toby, that's great.

My weight has fluctuated wildly this week - i weigh myself every day, one day I put on 3lbs, then lost 2lbs the next day. I am due on so it always goes pear shaped anyway. I feel very bloated.

I have lost 2lbs this last week though, so am very pleased, and delighted that I am now 10 stone something, rather than 11 stone something, psychologically it feels a lot better.

I had an indian takeaway on Friday, and despite choosing carefully (sag paneer, cauliflower bhaji, chicken tikka) there was (I assume) a shitload of flour in there somehere as a thickener, because I was terribly bloated the next day and my weight shot up.

Yep, mine fluctuates a lot throughout the week, too. On Sunday morning I was 11st 2lbs. I can't say I was hopeful for a loss this week! Yesterday I ate far more than I have been eating on a weekday, too. How strange.

I only had McDonalds breakfast because I had to work on Saturday, and my boss had told us we could get it out of petty cash. It was delicious, although absolutely swimming in grease.

I do love sag paneer. I think I might have to have Indian at the weekend now.

Yes, that sag paneer was absolutely gorg, I hadn't had one for ages (normally have a sag aloo being a spud lover) but it was absolutely delicious.

I am going to make my own in future though.

Well I could just copy and paste from last week really. Have put another lb back on. However (girds herself for some PMA-ing!) DD's birthday is over with now (so now more cake or Betty Crocker frosting!) and no more house-guests to be constantly fed and watered for a few weeks so I have an opportunity to focus on fizzy water, cup-a-soups and hard boiled eggs.

Hooray! The battery on my scales has run flat so I wasn't able to weigh in this morning - thank god for that! I'm going to assume I'm the same as last week.

Lost the thread. But am still plodding on. Been very up and down and got disheartened. But today weighing in at 10 st 8lb, at last I've broken the half stone loss. Smile
