So whether you have a little or a lot to lose, join me for a weekly weigh in - we could even have a slimmer of the week.

Just add your stats (don't be scared) - but I think it works if you're really honest.

Joining Date: 3rd Jan
Starting weight: 11st 1lb
Target weight: 10st 4lb
Why: Just want to be more comfortable in my clothes that are a bit tight & I'm going to be 40 later this year.
Method: Mainly low fat with a vague eye on carbs

I hope there are some others out there, who are up for a weekly weigh in & some mutual support & tips.

I stayed at my mums this weekend and she had OUNCES on her scales as well as stones and pounds. V hard not to weigh myself hourly! Fell off the wagon last night with a couple of glasses of wine but not beating myself up about it. Tentatively looking forward to weigh in!

Tyson86 · 16/01/2012 21:08

OMG I am going through the shrinking my stomach phase again after completing it last week and buggaring it up over the weekend!
I am so hungry!!!

doradoo · 17/01/2012 06:14

Morning all - hope you've had a good week. I was somewhat derailed at the weekend - but Tuesday WI time and the result is 83.7 (500g down this week so better than nothing!)

rootietootie · 17/01/2012 08:06

Oh dear weighed myself this morning and hugely a bit disappointed. Have only lost half a lb. Would be bearable if this had made me go from 11st 10 to 11st 9 but no, still 11st 10 (just). Didn't help that dh made jam roly poly and custard last night and gave me a huge plate of it. Its my fave and I just couldn't resist. Damn him. Hope everyone else has better results :)

Flossbert · 17/01/2012 08:12

I lost 1lb this week. Meh. Better than a gain I spose. I'm sure my mum's scales would have given me a more positive result!

AfternoonNap · 17/01/2012 08:20

Hmm - going to record a loss of 1.4 (3lbs) BUT maybe be back to change that later as I think my scales may have finally given up on me. Took 6 different readings this morning and got 6 very different results - from a loss of 3kg to a gain of .1kg so have taken the average and am off to buy myself a new pair. Would be surprised by a very dramatic loss as my approach is slow and steady lifestyle changes............

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 08:51

Hello everyone - I have had a pretty good week and have lost 4lbs (was 11 stone 12 last Tuesday, am now 11 stone 8). I have been very rigid though - recorded every morsel on Food Focus, and not eaten anything nice unhealthy. Went to Pizza Express on Friday and was very good, I usally have dough balls and butter, a veneziana and a banoffee pie with probably the best part of a bottle of wine, but I was very restrained and had a salade nicoise and a bottle of san pellegrino. It was certainly cheaper...

I am the same as afternoonnap in that, despite a 4lb loss being really great, I kind of wish after the week of eating NOWT I would have lost a stone.

I think a 1 or 2lb loss a week is sustainable and manageable, and everything else on top of that is a bonus.

rootie I bet that your weight was just affected by the jam roly poly, am sure you have lost weight but the weigh in today is a jam roly poly blip!

Well done everyone else on the weightloss.

Morning all, and congrats on the losses!

I am 1.5lbs down on the scales this morning. Am a bit disappointed because I've been really good, recorded everything on my calorie counter app and have exercised every day.
But my period is due tomorrow (TMI?) and I'm not sure if that might have affected it. We'll see! Hopefully by next week I'll be under 11st.

Why: I'm definitely too fat for my height (5'3"), clothes are getting uncomfortable and I'm going on holiday at the beginning of April.
Method: Basic cutting down/vague calorie counting/keeping an eye on carbs. And exercise -- Shredding, various DVDs, being more active in general.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 11:11

I am sure the period has something to do with it toby - my weight always creeps up just before I am due on.

Tyson86 · 17/01/2012 11:49

Hi all, I weigh the same as last week, which I am very happy about. As I had put 3lbs on over the weekend so have lost that again.
It has put me back on track Grin
Toby I believe you put 3lbs on on average when your period is due. :)

TobyLeWolef · 17/01/2012 11:51

Oh, Tyson, if that's true I'll be thrilled come next week when it all magically falls back off again!

Tyson86 · 17/01/2012 12:04

Grin Toby, I was just googling and found a forum of women saying they gain between 3-10lbs! Shock

TobyLeWolef · 17/01/2012 12:07

Holy crap! I suppose I'm lucky then!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 12:15

The positive of gaining weight pre period is that you have a bonus post period when you drop all the weight (which is probably water renentuion in my case).

TobyLeWolef · 17/01/2012 12:19

Well yes, especially as I'm planning on eating some cake this evening before getting right back on it tomorrow. I'm counting on it all falling back off :o

Whoops - forgot to do the copy paste thing

Well done everyone who's lost or stayed the same. Tyson - that's very impressive to gain and lose 3lb in one week! Are people starting to feel a difference? My clothes definitely seem to fit a bit better, but by no means loose yet!

Hope next week sees an easy win for you, Toby! How can people claim to put on 10lbs when they're due on?! That seems crazy. Maybe that figure is enhanced by hormone induced chocolate-based pigout?!

JugglingWithSnowballs · 17/01/2012 12:26

Well, I could just about persuade myself it still said 10st 13lb's ie. just under 11 as last Tuesday - with a bit of positive thinking Grin

Think I need to do more exercise (walking and swimming) and eat more fruit and veg and less other rubbish - would be much better for me all round too Smile

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 12:27

I am feelinga difference, I have a skirt in which I looked portly before Christmas, but it looks a lot better now. It has gone mainly from my thighs, pot belly and back.

I am also doing the 30 day shred (started yesterday) and every other day the 6 week six pack DVD as well (well, that's the plan, I haven't actually done the shred + sic pack DVDs on the same day yet, it may well kill me off!)

Tyson86 · 17/01/2012 12:34

:o floss, I reckon the choc pig out may be right.
I feel happier already with my weight loss, my tummy is looking more toned.
I need to up my exercise.
I may go for a power walk in the afternoon when ds is at nursery with dd in her buggy and do my dvd in the evening.
:)

p.s. Flossbert, for the sake of your sanity stay away from your mum's for the duration of this diet!! (Either that, or give me her address so that I can move into her bathroom!)

Katiekatiekatekate · 17/01/2012 18:50

Bit of p.s. overkill there, not sure where that came from.
