So whether you have a little or a lot to lose, join me for a weekly weigh in - we could even have a slimmer of the week.

Just add your stats (don't be scared) - but I think it works if you're really honest.

Why: Just want to be more comfortable in my clothes that are a bit tight & I'm going to be 40 later this year.
Method: Mainly low fat with a vague eye on carbs

I hope there are some others out there, who are up for a weekly weigh in & some mutual support & tips.

I have lost near enough a stone in about 5 weeks, though (thinks positive, non-drug-related thoughts).

Hi everyone, I've lost 3lbs this week which I'm pleased about. Weight is now 12stone 8lbs and I've lost over half a stone!

Well despite a big weekend (well week really) and it's soo cuffing cold that I need to eat constantly.... I've managed to lose again this week - hurrah!!

Still feel that I'm not really getting anywhere - just bouncing a kilo here and there - not really in the zone as it were and not that motivated to do it really. Perhaps when it's warmer???

Right, I am really pissed off with my scales.

Weighed myself first thing and was 12 stone 8lbs. Ten minutes later had a poo, so out of interest weighed again. Am now 12 stone 11 lbs, have weighed myself a hundred times and am still 12 stone 11 lbs. But even two days ago I was 12 stone 9lbs. I hadn't eaten or drunk anything at this point.

I reckon the scales are playing up but dh has helpfully said he thinks they're ok.

Vive. What is it with scales this morning. Mine said 10 st 10+ first thing, then I took jama top off, 10st13. Humph. Perhaps they are in cahoots.Confused

Hmm. 11 stone 4 this morning. So 2lbs off since yesterday. Hmm (and a poubnd off since last Tuesday)

Why does my weight fluctuate so wildly? I weigh myself at the same time every morning. The scales are bang on because I check them with a handweight. So how can I fluctuate up and down so wildly.

And WHY GOD WHY haven't I lost something like 10lbs this week because I have been so good?

Why: Looking best for holiday in July. I look terrible at this weight and after a horrible illness getting fit and healthy is my prime aim.
Method: Alternate day method. Walking and low impact weight training.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my scales this morning - 9 stone 4lbs = another 2 lbs off this week when I was certain I was going to at least stay the same if not gain.

I shouldn't laugh, because I am more than familiar with the approach, but Viva and Mini you did make me chuckle with your - weighed myself once, took some more clothes off/ did a poo and checked to see if it had made me any lighter! Reminds me of that Ab Fab sketch where Eddie is down to her undrcrackers and can't believe that taking her earrings off doesn't make more of a difference! Ha! We all do it! Grin

I feel really down about this today. I don't even really want to see my failure to lose anything again written down. I think I'll skip this week, pretend it didn't happen and eat nothing from now until next week's weigh-in.

I've exercised like a demon. I even got up this morning to Shred before work because DD made me.

I feel exactly the same toby.

What's the bloody point. There is a load of millionaires shortbread in the fridge and I haven't touched it because of the diet - and all for nothing.

Plus next week will be a dead loss as I have a party on saturday, so will eat like a glutton and will be drinking cocktails all the day long (yay). So will be back to 12 stone no doubt next week and this whole month of misery will have been wasted.

It's crap, isn't it? I'm going on holiday on 1st April and time is running out!

I might have had a couple of slips with my healthy eating, but I'm tracking my calorie intake and exercise and every single day, without fail, my calories burnt are far higher than my calories consumed.

So why the bloody hell am I stuck just on the 'bad' side of 11st? Grrrrr!

I am exactly the same.

Everything is recorded on my fitness pal, and I have exercised regularly. No booze, no bread, nowt bad and I have lost nothing.

Id on't look like thingumy from Terminator so it can't be that I have just grown muscles which weigh more.

It's depressing. But - I gave myself until July to lose 2 stone in total. Plus you still have a good 6 weeks or more until April so there is plenty of time to make a difference.

I am trying to be positive but not reallt convincing myself Grin

I've been fading on the myfitnesspal forums that it tends to overestimate calories burnt through exercise. So I've now started knocking some minutes off. If I do 25 mins, I'll put down I've done 20 mins, etc. Be interesting to see if that helps.

I put my Jillian Michaels workouts in as calisthenics (or whatever it is called).

I was shocked and disappointed not to see 'Jillian Michaels workouts - 198765 calories burned'

Well I lost just under a lb this week, trying to be happy with that as they recommend you only lose a pound a week if breastfeeding. Obv I really want to lose more and lose it quickly!
Starting weight: 154.4lbs (at start) down to 142.4lbs (as of January 1st)
Current Weight: 138lbs
Total Weight Loss: 16.4lbs
Target weight: 120lbs
Why: Losing my baby weight (I've lost more than he weighs now!)

Okay I fel your pain! Have not has a net weight loss this January despite a rigorous diet hacking and incorporation of running into monrnjnv routine.
But today I have lost for the first time this year! One whole pound! Maybe I can frame it!
Now I am at 149 pounds just another 14 to go.
But I got the tape measure out for the first time and have lost 2cm of my hips since new year! Hooray!
Ahem.
So I conclude so far:
Wii fit is the best set of scales so far for consistency but remember you can throw things out if you are constipated or have downed a pint of water recently.
Beans and lentils really do work as good non-'diet' food.
Pasta/crisps/potato/bread - treat them as if they were all cake diet wise.
Running really does start to work after a month or so in shrinking your lower body if like me you are a pear.
