I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

Naughty naughty!

Well done though on sticking with it. I'm also impressed that I've not caved and bought some fizzy pop, which is my downfall.

Blatherskite · 09/01/2012 14:36

Just shredded so that's 2 activity points to potentially off set tonight.

I think I've got some prawns in the freezer so could make some spaghetti which might not be too bad

ThatVikRinA22 · 09/01/2012 14:43

well since i forgot to put the sausage into the slow cooker we will have them with grilled bacon, poached egg and beans. DD will be happy!

going to do a slow cooked sausage casserole tomorrow with veg. Then better plan next lot of meals....this is usually where i run out of steam and ideas ,both at once!

vowing to keep going though....

bintofbohemia · 09/01/2012 15:25

Well, first week and I lost nowt. But then I was being a bit half hearted last week, didn't do much exercise and there were a lot of jelly tots/peanuts hanging around the house that got slightly eaten...

Went to the gym first thing this morning and had salad for lunch. High hopes for next weeks weigh ins.

bintofbohemia · 09/01/2012 15:25

(Although may have to hide the contents of the Christmas cupboard in the car.)

ThatVikRinA22 · 09/01/2012 15:46

Well I'm nearing the end (I hope) of my weight losing. THis time 2 years ago I xas 12 st 6.

So I've lost nearly 2 stone now very slowly! Have found the last stone really hard hence joining w w.

I want to get to 10 stone which will be 2 and a half stone from where I started.

Having turkey stir fry tonight. Starving! Come home dh!

Bint, don't be down hearted, I'm sure you'll lose next week.

Blatherskite · 09/01/2012 18:14

I joined WW for the tough last stone as well devils. I was 11 stone after I had DD and I've been shifting it slowly but I have been stuck at just over 9st 6 for ages now. No amount of exercising and watching what I eat has helped. I'm hoping WW can help me shift it for good and get to my goal.

I had pasta and pesto with cheese on the top for Dinner in the end. At 15 points its by far the highest pointing meal I've had since I started but after a nightmare at swimming lessons with DS, it was soooooo good :)

Still got 4 points left. I'm tempted with a bit of coke and another mini chocolate bar but I'm going to try to hold out.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/01/2012 16:43

just planned shopping for WW, to be delivered tomorrow. i am so pleased at how this is going, and im saving a fortune in wine!

hows everyone today?

5inthebed · 10/01/2012 16:54

Note to everyone. Do NOT buy WW sausages. they are revolting.

MOSagain · 10/01/2012 17:00

room for another? Grin
I've been doing WW on and off for about the last 20 years Blush but this WILL be the year I get to goal. Was going to start on 1st Jan but was on holiday until 6th so started yesterday. Not a great start as was a friend's birthday and out to dinner so seem to have wiped out most of my extra weekly points in one go Blush

Need to lose 2 1/2 stone realistically. Off on a lovely holiday at Easter so really hoping to lose at least 1 1/2 stone by then if possible.

Need to step up the exercise. Meant to get to gym yesterday but couldn't get out of house so did 30 mins salsasize dvd and can feel it today so must be helping.

Am so impressed with some of the losses on here. 6.5lbs in a week? Shock

Blatherskite · 10/01/2012 17:53

I bought the WW magazine today and am pleasantly surprised that there's quite a few recipes I fancy trying out. Including some of the cakes!!

Doing well points-wise today but think I've pulled my shoulder doing the 30 day shred. Hope it feels better by tomorrow as I was determined that I'd do it every day this week.

Might use some of my leftover points on a treat

well ive not eaten much today at all.

2 slices of brown bread, half tin tomatoes and a poached egg

2 low fat sausages, 2 scoops mash, peas, gravy from sausage casserole. thats been it!

might get the munchies later though...at least i have points a plenty.

devilsadvocaat · 10/01/2012 20:39

I did ok today but then I accidentally ate 8 points of pop corn and 4 points of rum.

D'oh.

I love ww mag.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/01/2012 21:24

I never feel like anything first thing so I have my breakfast after the school run.

I've only been having a banana though as most of the time I'm not even hungry then. If I am, I've found that a toasted crumpet with a banana and a squeeze of honey is low points and a bit more filling.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/01/2012 22:49

i am loving 30g of porridge oats, with 230ml of skimmed milk or water, topped with 2 tablespoons of fat free fromage frais, and defrosted frozen raspberries, then top that with 2 teaspoons of golden syrup.....its devine!

or bran flakes with skimmed milk, topped with a banana and raisins

5inthebed · 11/01/2012 10:34

Mother funky! I am not going to have a kitchen for the next week (or two)! What the hell am I meant to do? Will be eating tea every night at my mams, and she is a feeder Sad.

KnockedUpMell · 11/01/2012 16:35

5 have you tried telling her off? That's the only way I can get my mum to stop shoving food at me! It's almost as if she feels guilty (for the fact that she loves snacking) if I am not constantly eating too. I've tried suggesting we do WW together (she's staying with us for a few months to help with childcare when I go back to work, and I said I would cook all her meals and help with the point counting), but she's really not interested in losing weight (and she needs to!)

Blathers and supersal, you're guilting me into getting back into the shred! Will start tomorrow. My excuse for not starting today is that I'm tired from having had to wake up at 4am (or earlier) for a week now because my 10mo DS is still jet lagged from our holiday! He seems to be getting back to regular sleep times now though, and I'm hoping he won't be up before 6 tomorrow...

5inthebed · 11/01/2012 17:37

My mam is super slim, well a slize 12, she eats fine, just feels the need to feed everyone as soon as they walk through the door.

Might suggest I cook the meals, that way I can do portion control.

Blatherskite · 11/01/2012 21:36

Does she know you're doing WW 5? Maybe if you show her what it's all about and how many points you can have etc, she might get on board and help?

Maybe invest in the new WW recipe book and show it to her so you can find new recipes to try that would keep you within your points. She might enjoy cooking up some new recipes and the challenge of keeping within your points?

I love cooking and sometimes trying a few new low fat recipes can get me excited about cooking again when I'm feeling a bit bereft at everything I can't have.

Missed the Shred today. DD refused to nap and my shoulder still hurts from yesterday. Decided it was better to take a day off than properly hurt myself. We did have dinner at one of DS's friends houses tonight though and were given fish and chips! It was lovely but I've made a huge dent in my weekly points as I went well and truly over my daily ones!

Back on track tomorrow. Sticking within my points and shredding or next Mondays weigh in is going to be a big disappointment
