I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

ah god my first blip today....went out for lunch with DH for first time in aaages....and there wasnt much diet friendly on the menu. i have still only had 3 meals and no snacks but lunch was a naughty mini 1/2 haddock and mini chips....and in my defence it was very mini....but still. not WW friendly really is it....

and i have had wine.

think i will write today off and get back on track tomorrow, plus its weigh day. am quite Angry at myself.

but am determined not to now lose the plot and give in....back on the wagon tomorrow!

ThatVikRinA22 · 12/01/2012 11:30

well blip or no blip - i weighed in today.....

10st 7lb. thats a 4lb loss! im inspired now! totally back on the wagon!

7lb to go....then if im feeling very good i might try to lose a bit more. but 10 is my first goal and im on the way! yay!

piprabbit · 12/01/2012 11:58

well done you.

Blatherskite · 12/01/2012 12:28

Well done Vicar. 4lbs loss with a blip! That's good going.

ThatVikRinA22 · 12/01/2012 12:38

yes i am quite inspired! and very pleased!

just hope i get a loss next week since this one has been a good one.

lilbitneurotic · 12/01/2012 12:54

Hi, can I join in? I rejoined weight watchers online last Thursday. Weighed in this morning and lost 4lbs. I'm embarrassed to admit this brings me to 14st Blush

I am quietly determined to have lost 2 stones by my DS's 1st birthday in August.

devilsadvocaat · 12/01/2012 13:57

Yay vicar! Your blip sounds like nothing to worry about anyway :)

Lilbit, that is really achievable. Maybe set yourself a few smaller targets so you have things to work towards e.g. a stone by Easter.

I'm so hungry and tired. Kids have been ill, waking in the nighttime. Haven't cheated tho. Yet. Can't wait to have some wine tomorrow night.

Well done on the 4lb losses ladies.

Have had a yummy chorizo pasta thing tonight, was bloody delicious. Only 12 points as well.

Blatherskite · 12/01/2012 18:14

Where did you get the recipe from 5?

We had the Roast lamb with the Jewelled rice stuffing from the current WW magazine. It was OK. Not worth the extra hassle of making the stuffing though I don't think. Just plain roast lamb would have been as nice. It was only 7 points per portion though. I did it with some boiled potatoes and some veg. I had a little bit of gravy too which it needed so I ended up at 9 points. Felt a bit daft serving mine all out onto a plate resting on the scales to get the veg portions right but at least I know I stuck to the WW portions for working out the points

bintofbohemia · 12/01/2012 18:52

buggeration, where did my post go?!

Was basically saying well done to everyone seeing losses already. I sneaked a look this morning and there's been no move in a week and a half. I've been to the gym 3 times this week and aiming for 5 in total. Spin today and again tomorrow, did you know you earn 10 points for 40mins spinning? Grin

5inthebed · 12/01/2012 19:19

Just chucked it together myself Blathers. It's a quick fix for a busy day and rather tasty. All mine like eating it.

Chorizo Pasta, serves 4 (sorry, 14 points):

1 pack fresh fusilli (500g)
1 chorizo sausage chopped up
1 tin tomatoes
1 jar passata (I use Asda Ex rustic passata)
Mushrooms
Peppers

Cook fusilili.
Dry fry chorizo for about 1-2 mins then add mushrooms and peppers. The chorizo produces natural oil to fry these in so no need for extra oil.
Add tinned tomatoes and passata an bring to boil.
Leave to simmer for a few mins, then add to the drained pasta.
Enjoy!

If you have enough points, 25g of grate cheese is 3 points or 2 points for grated mozzarella.

piprabbit · 13/01/2012 11:14

I'm having a little celebration this morning - 2lbs off and my blue, 25lb star earned. I've not managed such a sustained weight loss in years. Grin.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/01/2012 11:24

thats brilliant pip- well done you!

im wondering what to have for lunch....its mince & tatties again for tea....dd actually eats it so its becoming a staple!

piprabbit · 13/01/2012 11:35

Thanks.

I'm having coddled eggs for lunch - should see me through to teatime.
What have you got in the house?

Blatherskite · 13/01/2012 11:40

I needed carbs this morning so have had a crumpet and honey.

I came on this morning so am going easy on myself today.

Blatherskite · 13/01/2012 11:46

and congratulation pip - that's really good going

devilsadvocaat · 13/01/2012 15:13

Well done pip!

Ds2 is sick today and I'm glued to the sofa. Snacked on free soup and fruit to keep away from the toast and coffees.

My new favourite snack is
20g oats
150 skim milk
Banana
Blueberries
Sweetener

3 points and v filling!

ah well, write it off today and start again tomorrow. one day wont kill as long as it is one day....

my mate who does this always had a day whereby she doesnt count points - usually her weigh day.

i found a morrisons healthy living type prawn sandwich - 3.5 of the old points. (no idea about the new points system....still not joined the new system! ) if in doubt always go for a low fat prawn - usually less points!

Blatherskite · 13/01/2012 18:35

I think I'll have kept within my points today but the temptation to pig out on chocolate and sweets is really bad. Bloody hormones.

Doesn't help that I decided to start potty training DD today either

Do you have any weekly points left Sal? Could your meal tonight come out of those? That's what they're for after all :)

piprabbit · 13/01/2012 18:37

Don't be too hard on yourself. As vicar says, tomorrow is a new day with new points.
Keep pointing though - that's what your weeklies are there for and you can still get back on track with a bit of planning and some activity points.

devilsadvocaat · 13/01/2012 19:32

I'm feeling the chocolate cravings. Although we have none and I can't be arsed to go to the shop anyway.

Also, one normal size crunchie wouldn't cut the mustard today. Large bar of green and blacks is definitely not in my points.

Dieting is miserable sometimes. I love eating so much.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/01/2012 20:03

its the Wine i miss but also the Wine that has done this too me! i have one glass left from cooking yesterday....am savouring every drop!

5inthebed · 13/01/2012 21:10

Well I've totally blown my points today Blush. My dad took us to Taybarns for tea and I ate a bit too much. Tried to be good and ate from the salad bar and lean meat, but the pudding counter was too much to resist. Still done the points and used some of my weekly points.
