I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

Yes, if you ignore my changes, it's the recipe from this book. The first time I ever made them, I had them finished and all wrapped in foil before Dh got home, then I just put one on a plate for him. He really believed that I'd been down to the local take away :)

Lozislovely · 22/03/2012 20:17

That recipe sounds fab and I think I could actually get the rest of the family to eat it, which would be a total novelty for us !!!!!

Been good today, 3 points under. Wanted to exercise but Ds2 decided he desperately needed new trainers to wear to non school uniform day tomorrow so I've only just got back from the shops Sad

Blatherskite · 23/03/2012 18:09

Go me! I ran 5k tonight!!

That's 6 activity points (as it took me about 45 minutes) that I'm going to try not to spend

Lozislovely · 23/03/2012 19:12

Blathers - that is fantastic, well done!!!! Grin

45 minutes is very good, you must have been really going for it!

I've been good on points today but no exercise so pretty sure I will same again this week. I'm still focused but know that if anything is going to make the difference it will be exercise.

Might be moving house in a fortnight so hoping all the packing will go some way towards acting as my exercise Blush

Our new house is in such a good location for jogging that I've already been planning out routes so hoping I'll be able to keep up with your runs before long!!!!!

Blatherskite · 23/03/2012 20:11

It felt slow to me. Last year, before I started getting poorly, I was doing 5k in about 30 minutes every Saturday at Park run. I'd love to get back there again.

Blatherskite · 25/03/2012 16:52

Got to the end of the week with no weekly points left and only 3 of my activity points unused!! I can't see tomorrows weigh in going well Sad

Plus, I've only got 9 points left for today and now we've been invited to MILs for dinner.

I'd struggle to keep below 9 if I were cooking and MILs dinners are always calorific!

Lozislovely · 25/03/2012 17:11

I did my weigh in today, gained 1lb Sad

Just to depress myself even further I went clothes shopping, tried going for stuff I wouldn't normally go for only to look hideous! Does no one do clothes for big bellied, big thighed, bingo wing arm shaped ladies???

Blathers - 30 mins was my average when I was really into my running (feeling guilty now that expensive treadmill is now covered in dust in the garage Blush)

Blatherskite · 25/03/2012 21:45

Yes, it took me a while to get to 30 mins. Going to try park run again next Saturday but won't be anywhere near.

Have attempted to point MILs dinner and came in at about 25 points so that's a huge chunk of my weeklies used already and it's WI tomorrow Sad

Blatherskite · 27/03/2012 18:20

WI went well, I lost 1.4lbs even with the huge dinner.

Run went really well tonight. Managed 5k in 35 minutes! Really shocked as I've only done 3 runs so far.

GravityDefier · 01/04/2012 14:12

I had an awful two weeks and gained back 3 pounds. It was my birthday, I had cake (A LOT), dinner out, drinks...

I am trying to get back into it but having gained almost half of what I had lost in the first place is making me feel all deflated

Blatherskite · 02/04/2012 09:08

Got invited to dinner at a friends house and ate 3 courses of pretty high calorie food. Having pre-weighed before I went, I know I put back on almost all of what I lost last week Sad

Should have been looking at a telling off for losing over 2lbs but instead, my official loss is 0.2lbs

Lozislovely · 02/04/2012 11:14

Gained 2lbs wtf Sad been really good all week, saved weeklies for weekend, upped my protein intake, exercised so where did it all go wrong????

Gravity - got that same deflated feeling, so much so I ate 3 mini chocolate brownie squares for breakfast Blush

I still have that little thing at the back of my mind that says 'c'mon chubs, you know you want to lose weight' so just need to find a way to bring it to the front!!!

cybbo · 02/04/2012 11:19

Genuine question-

How do you gals live life counting points all the time? Doesn't it take any joy and spontaneity out of eating? Doesnt it stop you thinking for yourself about what you would really like to eat?

Also if you have had to 'rejoin' weight watchers doenst it prove that...it doesnt work?

And beofre I get flamed, i'm always thinking about how to slim but just couldnt bear to do the WW thing as I think its only THEM who wins in the long term

Lozislovely · 09/04/2012 19:21

Cybbo - good question, though I can only for myself.

Yes, counting points can be a total PIA but it allows me to put into perspective what I'm eating. I don't miss anything (in theory) as nothing is banned.

No, I'm not doing so good this time around but I have a lot of other crap going on that isn't allowing me to give my weight loss the attention it needs. Even if only a half hearted attempt it is helping to avoid too much crap.

The awareness becomes apparent when in the past you've randomly shoved a load of food on your plate thinking its a normal portion, to then go on to realise that you're eating for 10.

I don't have a particularly sweet tooth (didn't bother with an Easter egg) but I do LOVE food!!!!

Leading me on to this week - STS but onwards and upwards Grin
