I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

You could always use chicken/ham instead of Tuna.

The sandwich thins are quite nice, although would still like proper bread.

Wonder why the group points were more than the WW online ones?

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 07/03/2012 18:35

Will try the Sandiwch Thins thanks. I like the squarish wraps. They're perfect as pizza base.

I know that they recently moved the minimum points down from 29 to 26. I think that you can go into the settings and amend it though.

I had a great lunch today to try to mimic my Wahaca lunch.

1 WW wrap 3pp
30g kidney beans mashed 1pp
20g goats cheese mashed with the beans 2pp
red pepper 0pp
red onion 0pp
Bit of chilli flakes

All put in the wrap, folded over and then fried with a bit of spray oil to make a lovely 6pp quesadilla.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 07/03/2012 18:35

Well done on your losses BTW

5inthebed · 07/03/2012 18:48

Oh yum bn10, that wrap sounds delicious. Might have to make that mself.

Lozislovely · 07/03/2012 18:53

Oooh I haven't seen those, must keep an eye out. I tend to buy WW malted loaf and I use that for toast in the morning.

Parry - not sure how often points change / anyone else know??? I've been ok on 26 so far. Starting to find more of a routine as the weeks go on;

WW bread toast for brekkie = 3pp
Salad for lunch = 4pp
Mahoosive fruit salad to much during the day = 0pp

Then come home and stuff my face with a big dinner! Have to be honest and confess that I do tend to have a glass of wine each night as a treat, though have been tempted to drink more but am being good!!!!

I have been feeling hungry though and think I need to drink more water to try and stop the hunger pangs!!!

Well done to everyone out there, we can do this Grin

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 07/03/2012 19:02

Loz I'd be hungry if I just had toast and salad and fruit till dinner. I've found that I need to have more protein than carbs as otherwise I crave food all day long and really feel the hunger pangs. Therefore I have porridge made with water with fruit and yoghurt (4PP) for breakfast every day, and then something like 1 egg with 2 toast 5pp for lunch. I have found that it has stopped the hunger. I don't low carb but just try to use my points for protein rather carbs as it seems to keep me level.

Lozislovely · 07/03/2012 19:03

Omg Ben10, your quesadilla sounds divine!! (she says as she runs out the door to Tesco to buy the ingredients Wink)

Lozislovely · 07/03/2012 19:05

Ben10 - yeah I do get hungry, and I love porridge so I may give that a go. We don't have a kitchen at work so I get stuck what to have for lunch other than the salad, though I guess I could add the odd hard boiled egg or two in there.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 07/03/2012 19:23

I stewed apples and plums with splenda and water to have a big dollop of each day in the porridge and then just plain yoghurt on the top. Definitely have some protein with your salad - whether it is ham, cheese, eggs as it helps it be interesting as well as keeping the pangs away.

GravityDefier · 07/03/2012 20:04

I have been struggling with 26 the last two days, not sure whether it's just the adjustment? But to be fair I am sitting at my desk all day and find not eating quite a challenge when procrastinating my dissertation.

I have eaten quite a few of my weeklies already.

Since I went to the group last year I have lost 4.6 kilos, I wonder whether that could be why I lost points?

The quesadilla sounds great.

GravityDefier · 07/03/2012 21:37

So I emailed them yesterday asking about the QUIDCO code thing. I did enter it and clicked on 'accept' but was not sure whether it had worked.
Just got an email telling me I have to enter the code when buying the product (Yes, I know and said so in my email) and they cancelled my account. But basically this didn't answer my question at all.

alypoole · 10/03/2012 15:05

I got nowhere with the Quidco thing and the WW leader knew nothing about it either.
I joined last Weds, and am finding it quite a contrast to SW where you can eat as much as you want of what you are allowed to eat. So far finding WW restricting, missing my yogurts etc.. Had no guidance on the tracking booklet so I haven't started that yet. It's also more expensive than SW as you have access to the internet as soon as you join there on a weekly basis.
Good luck everyone. Just wish I could stop thinking of FOOD!!!!!!!!

By the way how do you use the smileys?

GravityDefier · 12/03/2012 12:48

Sorry quidco didn't work for you either. I am still waiting for my refund from WW after they cancelled my account without asking me.

I think about food a lot too, I am just an obsessive person I think. It's hard to sit down and relax somehow.

You can do smilies different ways, it's explained a bit further down on the page.

How is everyone doing?

PippiL · 12/03/2012 18:05

Joining WW this evening. Couldn't work out how to do the quidco thing so am just going to pay monthly.

Think meetings will work for me best, I lost over 20 lbs erm 10 years ago for my wedding.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 12/03/2012 18:53

I have had a stay the same today :( It's all a digestion thing for me (as it's dinner time I'll be polite). I'll probably lose more next week.

Am having a problem with wanting cake and chocolate etc at the moment. I'm using my activity points mostly so not really a problem but it just feels wrong. I don't think I'm meant to think that food is "naughty" really on WW....

Welcome to the new posters. This thread has gone a little quiet :)

Lozislovely · 12/03/2012 20:55

Ugh, only lost a pound this week, was hoping for more after doing 24pp of exercise last week!

Ben10 - like you its all down to the digestion!!! Made a mahoosive vegetable curry tonight in the hope it works its magic Wink

Also am craving chocolate and cake too, in fact anything that's 'bad', but so far resisted.

Felt like crap since Friday so no exercise since then and feeling no better today. Don't think it's down to eating less as being hungrier doesn't normally bother me but feeling I'll as well just makes me want crap food even more.

Just need to focus on my target weight and look on the positive even though I'm only 5lbs down so far.

Did stock up on WW hot chocolate sachets this week so hopefully they will satisfy my cravings!!

Well done to everyone that lost Grin

GravityDefier · 13/03/2012 11:30

Ben10, I hope the digestion thing changes soon!

I piged out a lot this week, my dissertation is due in tomorrow and the 'no chocolate' rule went out of the window together with exercise and cooking. I tried to track but had a curry last night that didn't work with my points at all. Nevertheless appear to have lost a pound at weigh in this morning! Very odd

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 13/03/2012 11:58

I made beetroot brownies as trying to get more fruit and veg into my son as he is very picky (probable aspergers - getting diagnosis on Thursday hopefully). Unfortunately they weren't sweet enough so I then melted a bar of chocolate and creme fraiche as icing. I HAD to test them several times. I did try and point them though, I put 12 points down - who knows how many!

I am trying not to use any of my weekly points, just my activity points as I earn around 5 a day on my exercise bike. I then feel I can justify the treats as I have "earned them".

Digestion issues will hopefully be sorted once I've had my surgery. I'm only going every 4 or 5 days or so and have a big round tummy most of the time. I have around 5 fruit and 3 veg a day as well as oats for breakfast etc.

Loz and Gravity 1lb off is 1lb off and it looks like this Grin

GravityDefier · 13/03/2012 12:16
Shock

That is disgusting! (Hopefully it came right of my bum and thighs)

The brownies sound ace

alypoole · 13/03/2012 19:11

Hi every one! Must admit I'm still finding the diet VERY restrictive. Weigh in tomorrow, but can't imagine ther won't be a weight loss as I have been eating so much better. Resisted so many lovely things apart from a curry and drinks on Saturday night. Let you know how I did tomorrow.

PippiL · 13/03/2012 19:16

Well I signed up. Just 2 stone to go!

At my meeting someone brought brownies made out of one of the books. Wtf? It that some kinda cruel test, or sabotage?!

I resisted Grin

Blatherskite · 13/03/2012 20:18

Lost you all!!

Had Sunday off as my family came down for Ds's birthday and I'd made cake and homemade pizza etc and felt really awful about missing out - so I didn't.

Weigh in the day after only had me at 0.4lbs up so I figure it's just waiting to creep up on me.

But sod it, it's DS's actual birthday this weekend and we're off to Legoland. I'm fairly rubbish at tracking without the internet so I'm having that off too. It might add a couple of week until I reach goal but that's OK.

Lozislovely · 14/03/2012 22:05

Ok, setting an expectation now that next Monday's weigh in will not be a good one Sad

Had what a think is a virus, loads of MN's reporting same. Have absolutely no energy, even lifting my head off the pillow is enough to keep me in bed.

Stuck to points allowance but with no exercise in a week I just know it isn't going my way.

On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I now don't have a terminal illness, diabetes or an under active thyroid so once I do feel better I'm going to have to get my ass into gear Wink

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 15/03/2012 08:36

Horrible Hungry Horse meal out last night. I wanted to go home but DH and DS both wanted to go out. I knew it would be a high points meal and it was :( I wasn't feeling great and the night ended in a row. I then ate 9 thorntons chocolates and felt sick. 50 points for the day (instead of 26 Blush)

Today is the hopefully final appt for getting DS dxed with aspergers syndrome. The stress of everything is a bit too much for me. Made puff pastry swirls with chocolate philadelphia in for breakfast along with hm smoothies. Didn't do any exercise yesterday and won't today as not feeling good.

Can see a gain this week :( WI on Monday. All will be revealed then.

xmyboys · 15/03/2012 09:07

Legoland open already? Grin
Have fun I'm soooooo jealous.

I lost 3lbs last week so super pleased. Super strict with points and exercise.
Felt so hungry yesterday had to eat a bit more but nothing ott.
