I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

Happy Birthday!
I hope you had a fun time and did't stress about points.

I don't like mussels, the only main I actually do like is the ham. So it will have to be that.
Not a fan of the menu either, feels as if they try to be as fancy as possible but some combinations sound a bit weird. I would love the meatloaf for a main, not as a starter ;)

I will try and calculate the meal. Ham and potatoes should be easyish but then I don't know how stuff was fried, marinated etc.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 03/03/2012 15:12

You should be able to ask for plain potatoes and veg when you order.

5inthebed · 03/03/2012 18:59

DH and I went out for dinner yesterday for our anniversary. Was very nice, but definitely not healthy.

Has anyone hard of diet coke chicken? My friend was talking about it today, not sure if I fancy cooking it but she reckons it is delicious.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 03/03/2012 19:07

this one?

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 03/03/2012 19:11

or these

Blatherskite · 05/03/2012 07:24

1.4lbs lost this week - 7lbs to go to goal.

Not sure it's achievable in a month at this rate!!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 05/03/2012 08:22

1.6lbs off this week inc my birthday so v pleased with that :) 9.2 lbs till goal. You are definitely going to win Blathers!

Blatherskite · 05/03/2012 09:23

My original goal was 8st 7lbs but I took the extra 7lbs off a few weeks in. I'm glad I did as I really need it.

I'm actually getting a bit depressed about it because it's looking like my tummy is never going to go. The skin is so stretched out, I still look a bit pregnant! It's adding inches to my waist even without the underlying fat. I'm in a 28" bra now but I just go out like a tear drop from there down - and my c-section overhang is with me for life by the looks of things Sad

I need to do some serious tummy crunching I think but I've only been off my antibiotics for a few days and still wake with a sore throat some mornings so I think it's maybe a bit early to be pushing things if I want to stay well and avoid surgery. Although if you're right Ben, maybe the food in the NHS hospital I'd end up in might be enough to get the last 7lbs off anyway Wink

Lozislovely · 05/03/2012 20:40

Blatherskite - omg, I don't think I've seen 8st 7lbs on the scales since I was a child lol Wink

Lost 2lbs again this week and I'm pleased with that. Did 20points worth of exercise last week and didn't use all my excess points as I wasn't hungry.

Hoping to continue with the 2lb a week loss but finding it hard going. Points dropped by 1 this week and even though I find days where I don't use them all, losing a point is like the end of the world!!!!!

Onwards and upwards. 40 minutes on the bike tonight and hoping to the same at least every night this week.

Bring on a blow out at the weekend Grin

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 05/03/2012 22:10

Well done Loz

That's a great loss :) Keep pedalling - I'm doing 30 mins every morning and it is definitely making a difference to tone.

xmyboys · 06/03/2012 09:27

Can I join?
Just waiting to go into a WW meeting.
I have a stone to lose!
18mths of not really caring what I've eaten and it has to stop.
And hiding in sweats and baggy jumpers all winter.
My clothes don't fit Sad
Loving all your helpful inspiration towards each other here Grin

ParryMoppins · 06/03/2012 11:53

Well done everyone on those weight losses this week! Sounds like most people are having an ok time at the moment.

Welcome xmyboys!
I know the clothes feeling, you are not alone! Will you be going to the meetings every week?

Loz, well done on the weight loss and the sports. That is a great amount of extra points. How often do you lose a point?

I went out for dinner last night and it was ok, but I was starving by the time I got home Blush Had one piece of WW candy but did resist the leftover dinner DP had made.

Weigh in today and I have lost 1.4 kilos this week! Just converted it and saw that's 3.1 british pounds. In Germany a pound is 500 grams, seems like it's less over here?

So this is week 8 in the UK over and I have lost 2.6 kilos. Not too much but better than nothing. Plus the 2kg I had lost over the holidays, so that makes it 10 British Pounds Smile

I got my graduation date and it's at the end of June and there is also going to be a ball at the end of May. So those are my ultimate weight loss goals for now, I really want to look fabulous for them! (And fit into my dresses)

alypoole · 06/03/2012 12:13

I want to join a class, got the code from quidco but what do I do with it? Found it quite confusing as there's no check out!

GravityDefier · 06/03/2012 12:24

Oops, just realised I hadn't namechanged back. The post at 11.53 was me.

Not sure how the quidco thing works for meetings, alypole.
Just checked quidco and they got the online offer back on as well. Seriously tempted to go for it. It would probably make it a bit easier, wouldn't it? I am doing ok by myself with my calculator but I don't have access to things like eating out guides etc.
Can I buy things from the WW shop without being a member?

xmyboys · 06/03/2012 12:39

Survived meeting one! Yes planning to go every week, need the butt kicking.
1 stone 8lb to lose or 10kg
Wish me luck!

GravityDefier · 06/03/2012 12:49

Ok, I need help with the Quidco thing please.

I got the code and it opened the WW site. There was a section promotional codes and I typed the number in and clicked ok. However, that whole section then disappeared. Is that normal? It simply went on to ask for name, address etc, nothing that suggests that the code has worked.

I closed the page and opened it again to try again but now the section for promotional codes is still gone. Has it worked? I am confused.

5inthebed · 06/03/2012 17:19

No idea about the code thing, sorry.

Well done on the weight losses so far everyone.

I lost 4lbs this week :) Drop in the ocean really, but better off than on.

Really need to get this weight shifted, have used too many excuses as to why I can't. I did no carbing a couple of years ago and lost 4 stone, but piled it back on at an alarming rate when I came off it. Finding WW good as it controls what I eat an I can snack on fruit. This is by far the best WW plan to date.

xmyboys · 06/03/2012 22:13

I also did no carb and last the weight but more came back on.
I think ww really us the most user friendly, bit extreme and hopefully something to follow for life?

GravityDefier · 06/03/2012 23:38

I could never do low carb, I really rely on them!

So I just signed up to the online thing. I used the code and applied this on DPs laptop, and it simply 'disappeared' again. I hope that was right!
Checking out all the online tools just now Smile

xmyboys · 07/03/2012 08:41

Off to the gym!
Breakfast in a flask for afterwards(so I don't go to cafe for a fry up!)
Yesterday -day 1 over in daily allowance as I ate what had been planned and not any ww meals. No sweet snacks though except for fruit. Not too worried as took these out of my weekly allowance but want to avoid using that for the first few weeks unless it's for a glass of wine GrinGrin

5inthebed · 07/03/2012 11:25

The weekly allowance is great isn't it!

Had a delicious tuna pasta salad last night, 8 points and was stuffed afterwards.

xmyboys · 07/03/2012 11:35

What was the recipe for your pasta?

5inthebed · 07/03/2012 12:24

Tuna Pasta Salad:
40g dried pasta shells (cook then allow to cool, or rinse under cold water for quickness) 4PP
1 tin tuna in spring water 4PP
Tesco Light Options Caesar Salad dressing 0PP
Then whatever 0PP salad stuff you like, I used lettuce, cucumber, spring onion.

Toss it all together and enjoy. Serve it with beetroot/gherkins/pickled onions for some more 0PP fillers.

I chilled the tuna in the fridge as well, much nicer cold.

GravityDefier · 07/03/2012 13:53

I unfortunately don't like tuna, that recipe sounds lovely otherwise.

Has anyone tried the Warburton's Sandwich Thins? They are lovely an only 3 PP!
I made myself one for lunch today, with some light mayo (1PP), lettuce and some chicken breast (1PP). I thought it was quite a 'chap' lunch. Could have eaten a second one, greedy as I am but am definitely full enough.

WW Online told me I am only allowed 26 points instead f the 28 I was told ina meeting a few months ago. Bit upset, 2 points is a lot!

GravityDefier · 07/03/2012 13:55

Oh sorry, I meant 'cheap' of course
