I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

buggy thanks. I was thinking about 5 days out of 7 anyway so not much less, just didnt want to get it and find it wouldnt have any effect if I had rest days in there.

Looks like it will get purchased at some point

early promise it gets more doable- not neccessairly easier but less impossibleGrin

I need to sort out my diet (hit target at sw b4 Xmas and have 2lbs of Xmas bulge to shift!). I'm just so hungry- I blame bfeeding!

I think the wind is waking my dd2 up, fx for a better night!

I can see my abs again! Grin

I found today (L1 D1) much harder but can't tell if that's because I did it in the evening when I was already shattered or just because I'm so unfit that the last 3 days have caught up with me. I did get a glimpse of myself in a mirror while doing the buttkicks and it was not pretty so I guess I'll just have to keep at it.
I wish I had a sticker system- there is a mini snickers from Christmas tempting me but that's not as cool (or helpful!)

ooh Pickle I think you're on to something there. A sticker chart. I know it can be a proven method for DC's but the thought has NEVER occured to me to do it for myself. Another thing to buy when I get the DVD. Cant do it just yet, but will be able to in another month or so.

Day five of level one done. Have just been laughed at by dh because I can't do proper press ups. Can barely do the easy ones.

I totally want a sticker chart. With cake and wine at the end!

I've just pulled this out of the drawer and will try to start tomorrow. I did it before a couple of years ago and got good results. My problem is I cannot do press ups, not even one which is a bit dispiriting as they're right at the beginning of the first circuit. What should I do instead for that bit?

I'm with flylady too...between that and myfitness pal my life can be summarised with lists! When i have lost weight / got fit before I have rewarded myself with health and beauty stuff or clothes so it didn't scupper the diet. though obviously this isn't the ultimate trick or i wouldn't be typing here now having got fat again!

chesterado it's the same here, only it's my ultra-fit DC that laugh at me. I have to get up extra early to avoid them - just completed day 4 level 1! And the stiffness in my legs is going - I did 40mins on the treadmill later on yesterday, so maybe that helped loosen the muscles?

Love the sticker idea - I may have to bring some back from work....... And the new beauty stuff/clothes. I'm afraid I am not on a diet ATM - one thing at a time!

How do you earn stickers with Flylady?

Franke, I have dodgy knees, so I put a cushion under them when I do my lady press-ups and that reallly helps - would it help you?

Can I join too? Going to start the Shred today, with tins rather than weights. Also planning on using Pilates too, my focus is my mummy tummy - my muscles have disintegrated! Can you use resistance bands?

Is anyone else doing myfitnesspal? If so what do you put the shred as? Ive been using the general circuit training, but surely the shred is more than 317cals burnt! It feels like more!

@pregnantpause I am doing it alongside the fitnesspal and mine says just 167 calories burned. TBH that sounds about right as I am quite small.

Remember people underestimate calorific content of food and overestimate calories burned.

I started on Tuesday but hurt so much yesterday I couldn't face it. Going home early to make sure I do it tonight!

Day 9 and I moved to level 3!! I really like the workout and in some ways found it easierConfused

Yet I am sat here now feeling v achy!

l1 day 5 done and I think it might be getting easier...not so as I'd move to level 2 quite yet mind!

ON MFP I have put it as 20 mins general circuit training and it comes up for me as 189 calories.
