I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

OP posts:

Did my second day of L2 I'm finding it really hard compared to L1 which I've done 15x over 4wks. My tum been hurting this arvo from planks and not in a gd way and think it aggregating my back as in nerve pain again this eve. Think I might have to stick at L1 for a bit longer as L2 been putting me off from doing it all together so it be better to do L1 than nothing. I'm very tired at mo in RL with baby up lots in night, a 4yr and DH not around 7am-7pm so its lot of effort just to turn the dvd on the morn :)

Well done those ahead of me hats off to you. Half term this wk so even less chance to do it.

rosalux · 13/02/2012 09:28

L3D7 done (D25 overall). 5/6 of the way there! Hurrah! I was really not looking forward to this morning, but it was okay. I did mostly Natalie - though not as many reps as Natalie! DP decided to observe for a while and give a running commentary which was quite off-putting, but I think he's just jealous. I'm so pleased with myself that I've actually kept this up, but why can't I stop with the wine and chocolate!!! This is my last week of bf (just the early morning feed now) and I'm going to do the Clean & Lean plan as of next Monday, along with 6 week 6 pack (though it will take me 10 weeks as I'm only planning on doing it 3 x a week). Think I will start a thread to see if that helps as this thread has been an enormous help. Do keep going ssmile. I find that the routine actually gives me more energy to deal with fractious baby and sleepless nights (counter intuitive I know)

I've just done L1 D5 last night. I still find the strength exercises quite hard as I seem to have weak arms. But the cardio and ab excercises are a breeze. And I hardly broke out in a sweat last night. I'm wondering whether to progress on to L2 or not tonight.
How do you know when you are ready to progress to the higher level?

LittlePickleHead · 13/02/2012 10:12

So I've completely fallen off the wagon due to being ill, so started again from the beginning tonight. Need to get my determination back as it's seriously waning!

chocoeyes I find L2 quite tough on the arms but if you do all Natalie then move up try level two. I watched it first as there were some moves I'd not seen else where.

movingonwardsorsidewards · 13/02/2012 23:38

Littlepickle - I had fallen off the wagon too, I hadn't shredded for a whole week Blush

Today was my first day back after my week break and I felt much better for doing it, now I just need to keep it up.

Level 2
Day 4
Now done so only 16 days to go Confused

rosalux · 14/02/2012 09:24

L3D8 (D26 overall). Almost there... I can really feel it in my upper abs(?) all of a sudden and if I suck my tummy in I can start to see definition. Obviously I actually need to lose the flab on top, but I'm hopeful that all this exercise means once I do lose the flab I will reveal a tight toned bod underneath (ahem)

SantieMaggie · 14/02/2012 21:47

So i've bought this away with me as i'm stuck in a hotel for work... i've Previously done a few days here and there.

How do you ladies with big boobs cope? My boobs are big and i suffer with some of the moves like the bum kicks even wearing a sports bra and supportive sports top!

choceyes · 15/02/2012 09:27

I've done my neck in and it really hurts, so didn't do it last night. Really missed it too! Neck is still hurting a bit, so not sure if I can do tonight either...boo.

SantieMaggie - I have 30I boobs (I am BF), so ginormous boobs, but they are OK really in my sports bra. Can't remember the brand though. Will have a look tonight and let you know tomorrow if you are interested?

I think I will stay on L1 for a few days more, and go onto L2 for Day 11 I think. I'm not doing Natalie on all of the moves yet. I find the press ups the hardest.

rosalux · 15/02/2012 13:09

L3D9 (D27 overall). Am now 9/10 of the way there! I have big boobs (32E at present) and wear a shock absorber run bra which is good and adjustable. Expensive though.

SantieMaggie · 15/02/2012 17:29

Thanks ladies - can you please let me know which brand?

ssmile · 15/02/2012 20:20

santiemaggie I too big BF boobs so I double bra at moment. Normal bra lifts it all up, then shock absorber I got from www.figleaves.com squishes it all down over the top and they stay put :)

Not had chance to shred today and missed it Hmm as its half term kids &baby at home but DH around tom so extra pair of hands so I can give L2 ago again tom.

rosalux · 16/02/2012 09:26

L3D10 done (D28 overall). 14/15 of the way there. Can you tell I'm excited?

rosalux · 17/02/2012 09:05

L3D11 (D29 overall). Almost there....

BornToShopForcedToWork · 17/02/2012 13:06

I am starting as soon as the DVD comes in the post.

thequietone · 17/02/2012 13:10

I got to L2D2 when my left kneecap exploded in pain. This was 11 days ago. I've not been able to kneel, run, or walk without limping. The lunges did it. Has anyone else had this problem and any advice on how to carry on once my knee feels better?

I'm not holding a lot of extra weight - 5' 3.5" (the half inch is important to me!) and 9 stone.

rosalux · 17/02/2012 16:41

I found the jumping lunges and rockstar jumps totally did my knees in too, so I only did them the once. Now I do Anita lunges with bicep curls and the oblique twist from level 2 instead respectively.

ssmile · 17/02/2012 20:08

Thequiettone I've found L2 hard on my body too and I've only done it three times I've never really had knee pain before but I've found unless I really concentrate its really easy to get the technique wrong and then my knees hurt. I've got strong leg muscles too (the only muscles that are strong :) ) I hope your knee gets better soon.
My sister had a weak knee and was told to strengthen up all the muscles around it to provide support her gym gave her special exercises but an easy one was to sit on the floor straight legs out in front of you, back against the wall and raise leg 5cm ish off the floor and hold then lower and repeat.
No shred ere for 3days now, half term messed up my routine, and majorly fallen off my diet start again Monday after my birthday :)

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 17/02/2012 20:17

Can I join?

Just done L1D1, felt a little bit sickly when I finished, think it was the crunches.

Don't need to loose weight, just need to tone up, to get back into my bikini this summer.

rosalux · 18/02/2012 08:25

L3D12 (D30) completed. I am now officially shredded (though you wouldn't know it to look at me). Next stop: 6 week 6 pack...

x

ssmile · 18/02/2012 08:49

That's Fab rosalux well done. I doubt I will ever get to L3 the speed I'm going but once kids back to school next week &i shift this cold will start again :)

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 18/02/2012 09:07

L1D2, urgh, just urgh, feel sick.

Am officially weak.

What do you do after cool down? I've had a shower and washed my hair and could easily get back in to bed for a couple of hours, but need to take DD's to Stagecoach then do some food shopping. DH working so I can't get him to help.

Well done Rosa :)

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 19/02/2012 10:36

L1D3, not as bad today, don't feel sick, just a tad shaky legged.

Could this be the start of something??

ssmile · 19/02/2012 20:10

Well done boiledegg I found by day 6-7 the jumping jacks getting easier :)
