I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

well done buggyrunner.

bigTillyMint · 03/01/2012 08:29

level 1 day 2 done! I thought I was going to struggle more because the fronts of my thighs were so stiff from yesterday, but infact it was a bit easier Grin My legs feel very stiff though, and now those muscles that join your arms to the body are aching too!

Am I right in thinking that you repeat the same workout each day at level 1? When do you have to move onto level 2?

early, were you wearing your trainers when you hurt yourself?

putyourhatonsweetie · 03/01/2012 08:40

hi bigtillymint I think you do the same routine until it gets more comfortable and then you move up so that you can reacquaint yourself with pain

bigTillyMint · 03/01/2012 08:45

That'll be the whole 30 days on level 1 then Grin

detoxdiva · 03/01/2012 09:11

Hi - can I join too? Smile

I did the Shred last year and did notice results - now back in to it after the Christmas excess!!

Did day 1 yesterday - legs ok today but my arms ache a lot Grin

Am determined to do it everyday for the rest of January (optimistic emoticon!) and then going to get Jillian's 6 week 6 pack dvd as this is my big focus area!

Good luck to all the other Shredders Grin

day 3 level 1 done. ouch.

LuckyC · 03/01/2012 10:48

Hi all - Level 1 Day 1 done - I am going back to the start (I stopped before Xmas) but found it much easier than when I did actually start, iykwim. Feels great to have started again, so thanks all for motivation.

LuckyC · 03/01/2012 10:49

PS carteblanche wow - sounds horrible! How are you now?

duvet · 03/01/2012 11:11

Day 3 Level 3 done phew it's a tough one, I do as much of one move Natalie style I can manage then Anita style! Ha ha, the plank push ups are up a killer, can manage much of those before I drop on my knees!

pregnantpause · 03/01/2012 11:26

Day 4 level 1. Its getting easier. Not easy, still bloody hard work but easier. It doesnt take thirty minutes though- not with extra warm up, cool down, and shower after!

Also day 3 level 1 complete. Didn't put my all into it unfortunately as have been awake since 4am with dd2. In fact I yawned my way through all of it! Perhaps it will give my muscles the rest they need to stop aching so much. Feel glad to have got it in though.

notveryinventive · 03/01/2012 20:22

ooh after reading this thread I fancy this now. Also reading the reviews on Amazon say its good. Do the days have to be consecutave (sp?) or can I do it over 5 weeks by having a little break here and there?

cartblanche · 03/01/2012 20:47

luckyc I think you mean earlyonemorning it is she that cracked a bone in her foot I merely pulled the ligaments in my knees and they recovered after a week or two of not doing the jumping jacks!

Chesterado · 03/01/2012 21:17

Well day 4 of level 1 now done after a few days off sick. Didnt seem quite so tough as first couple of days but think I'll be aching again tomorrow. In awe of all of those who made hit to level three!

Picklepoff · 03/01/2012 21:57

Hello all, can I join in too? I'm back to work soon after mat leave and really feeling the extra weight and lack of energy so decided to (re)start shredding. I did this earlier in the year but went away for the weekend/had my period/chocolates to be eaten/sofa to be sat on/DVD boxset to be watched etc.

I did day 3 of level 1 this morning and am cream crackered. I got as far as day 6 last time but now my DD is a little better at entertaining herself in her play pen (or rather being entertained by me star-jumping around like a fool) I am having another crack at it. I can honestly say that pretty much everytime I have moved or gone up the stairs I have thought of how much Jillian is responsible for my aching belly and legs!
My aim is to do 10 days at L1 and hopefully by the end of it I'll be with Natalie... [deluded emoticon] then seamlessly progress to L2. We shall see.

jen127 · 03/01/2012 22:01

Day 1 done and I feel like puking! Is this normal? Arghhhh

gamerwidow · 04/01/2012 06:25

did day 3 level 1 yesterday but took it easy in the jumping and leg exercises because I've pulled my calf muscles . Might give myself tonight off to recover but will walk to and from work and do some crunches so I get some exercise in.

bigTillyMint · 04/01/2012 08:58

Done Day 3 level 1 - it is definitely getting easier, but my legs are sooooooooo stiff. It's the lunges that are killing me!

I have been using the smallest weights - when should you move on to the bigger ones?

putyourhatonsweetie · 04/01/2012 09:13

well done everyone.

l1 day 4 done. easier today and I put more effort in because I was so frustrated with my dc.

backs of my legs bloody killing me though...wondering how on I'll get through another 26 days!

notveryinventive · 04/01/2012 10:31

So do you do it 7 days a week? Or do you do it less than that. Its something that seems to have really good reviews due to the positive effects it has, but I wouldnt be able to do it 7 days a week and dont want to pay out money for something I cant do. Thanks

bigTillyMint · 04/01/2012 10:38

PYHOS, it's the fronts of my legs!

LuckyC · 04/01/2012 10:47

sorry early yours sounds nasty too! Day 2 Level 1, despite being awake from 12-3 and 5-7 with baby!

buggyRunner · 04/01/2012 11:13

Day 8 level 2 complete- phew Blush!
Im going to try to go for a run with the pram and baby later but I'm knackered! My baby had a bad night too Lucy.

You don't have to do it everyday as it's a good gym session on it's own. Im going to try thou
