I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

I put my dd1 (2.5) in my bedroom with a DVD and my dd2 (6mth) in her bouncy chair watching me.

Had the day off yesterday as it was my first day back at work! Sad dd2 didnt take a bottle so I went twice to nursery to feed her.so I was knackered when I got home as bedtime too forever!

Anyway excuses aside I will do day 24 today and aim to be on day 26 by Sunday (as I need to do running in-between 10k looming)

L2D8 (D16 overall). Over half way now. I really didn't want to do it this morning, but actually it wasn't too bad. Some of it was even almost enjoyable (almost). I might have a sneaky peek at L3 later today too. I don't think I've lost any weight either, though again my diet is rubbish (half a packet of mini magnums anyone?) and I really need to sort that out, but am waiting til I finish bf (in about 2 weeks if all goes to plan) to really deal with that. I do feel fitter all round though and DP says my arms are quite 'beefy' - which I'm taking as a compliment in his autistic waySmile

Hathall · 02/02/2012 09:45

ReduceRecycle I think I'm sort of fit. I run and go to the gym but I don't do either of them regularly enough. I'm not that fit that I can run 5km without huffing and puffing and without breathers but I can do it.
I've taken steps to sort out my diet this week and am religiously using myfitnesspal as thats definitely where I go wrong - a bit of extra snacking and eating too much at the weekends!

I shall persevere. I am not looking forward to level 2 today. I remember it from last time I did it. those one legged moves and the upward arm raises were a killer!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 02/02/2012 10:03

I have just ordered Ripped in 30 and no more trouble zones. I really like the shred but I thought I would get some more DVDs to mix it up. I already have 6 week 6 pack, which I like, but tbh I get bored with halfway through (especiallt when it does the insane side planks things which I can't do!).

Does anyone else's hands really hurt when they do push ups/planks? I have tried putting my hands on a towel but I still get really sore hands - it's the one thing which really puts me off planks and push ups.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 02/02/2012 10:04

buggy that is really impressive, that you have gone back to work, bf your dd at nursery and doing the shred. You must be exhausted.

Oh thank you osmio - I didn't even know they did such a thing. I will have a look later.

movingonwardsorsidewards · 02/02/2012 11:21

Ssmile - well done that's great weight loss.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I didn't shred yesterday as I was out till late and awake till late the night before, so i really over ate lots of chocolate :( but I'm going to get on track today.

ssmile · 02/02/2012 14:02

Couldn't face L2 today again so did L1 and it felt good. Will try L2 again sat if I can keep kids amused as DH is working.
buggerrunner very impressed with you using 3kg weights! I can barely do it with 1.1kg :)

buggyRunner · 02/02/2012 16:10

Thanks for the boost guys- just did level 2 - had to drop to 2kg's weights as it was hard BlushGrinBlush

L2d12. Smile

bigTillyMint · 02/02/2012 18:00

GetOrf, is it the palms of your hands that hurt? Mine don't hurt at all for planks in the shred, but as I cannot do full push-ups to save my life......

I didn't do it today as I don't do Thurs/Fri - too much to fit in before seeing the DC off and getting to work...... But I am feeling a bit more toned and maybe my waist is ever so slightly smaller?

second day of L2 done D14 in total. It was easier tonight than last night, but I think thats because I knew what each exercise was before I had to do it. Last night I had to watch for a bit to see what to do.

beatofthedrum · 02/02/2012 21:58

Joseph Rettig?? I feel you may have stumbled onto the wrong thread/website!!

L2D9 completed (D17 overall). I've just realised what feels different about yesterday and today - my bottom doesn't ache! Finally, after all those millions (well it feels it) of squats, I must have developed some actual muscles in my rear. Wahey! Just one more day on L2 tomorrow and then moving on to L3 on Monday. I can't actually do all of Natalie on, for example, the plank jumps and v-arm raise thingys, but I think even if I stayed on L2 for a month I just wouldn't have the strength/endurance. I also noticed in the mirror this morning that my biceps really are becoming quite beefy, so I think I'll drop down to 2Kg for L3 and concentrate on reps. I'm also going to make a proper effort not to eat after dinner for the next couple of weeks (having cleared the freezer of mini magnums again Blush, before I properly overhaul my eating habits post bf.

ReduceRecycleRegift · 03/02/2012 16:13

L2D9 (D18 in total) was HARD and went back to Anitas today, but did do W1R1 of C-5k first so that's my excuse,

tomorrow is my last L2 before L3 - scared (but spurred on by the results I've seen so far Grin)

ScatterChasse · 03/02/2012 23:43

Hello, I've just started it (so L1D1) and found some bits ok and others really hard. You all seem to have survived though, so hopefully it will get easier!

The cardio was fine, and the strength and abs weren't too bad other than the bicycle ones at the end. I felt like a stranded fish flopping around!

But I can't do the push ups, it's not my arms or the 'straight line' that I find hard, it's my wrists, I find they really hurt Sad. I can't even do Anita's easy ones. I can do two or three and then have to stop. Have any of you had this problem?

I'll definitely do it again tomorrow, and check in then (if you'll have me) Smile.

catsareevil · 04/02/2012 11:27

Day 28 today, but I have missed 3 of the last 5 days, I had been getting a lot of pain around one area of my CS scar, and so wanted to rest things a bit. There was no pain this morning luckily, but I did find it quite hard after taking time off. Because I have missed a bit I am thinking about adding a day or two more on at the end.

My plan is to move onto Ripped in 30 after that, though I had a look at a clip from the DVD today and it does look quite brutal.

So far I have lost 2 pounds in weight, and 2 inches from my waist. That is with some calorie counting too.

rosalux · 04/02/2012 11:46

L2D10 (D18 overall) completed. Now done L2 and moving on to L3 on Monday. Tomorrow is day of rest (thankfully!) I had a look at L3 yesterday and though it definitely looks a step up it does seem do-able; or at least the Anita versions. Think I will do 6 days of Anita and then try to introduce Natalie for days 7-12. I'm going to enjoy a relaxing soak tonight with a glass of wine (or two) and then Borgen and the knowledge that I won't be shredding in the morning. Bliss

bigTillyMint · 04/02/2012 13:11

Day 26 done. 4 more to go!

duvet · 04/02/2012 14:52
