OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 10/05/2012 07:06

My child we could be twins Grin also in fat jeans, obv no scales but know I am gaining rapidly but zero motivation to rein it back in!!!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 10/05/2012 08:08

mychild no need to be jealous, I bet you didn't put 15.5lb on! More magnificent weeing has got rid of another 2.5 though Shock so am only +10 today.

Managed another low-carb day, mainly by looking down at my pot belly every time I was tempted by a biscuit. Should be OK for another 36 hours but then the need for booze will kick in...

loti hope you find a bit of exercise motivation today.

octo hope you had fun last night but didn't fall too far off the wagon...

dig hope you are feeling OK too today

luckoftheirish · 10/05/2012 11:31

Right officially had enough Sad

Did spinning class today and am so unfit.

Hopped on the scales at the gym and have put on 10lbs!! That is all through not eating properly, too many sweets, nuts, Pringles and wine..

So cross at myself.. So I am starting again, low fat, high fibre, tons of water and no snacking

OctopusSting · 10/05/2012 12:25

Fjorn, i fell off the wagon and down the well. Oops BlushGrin

Now trying to stave off the hangover with food

On a small upside i have done a 1.5k run, 1hr pilates and been and bought some new trainers. Small steps Wink

Off out for dinner tonight, but driving so no alcohol calories at least......

FjorGynAndHotWater · 11/05/2012 08:44

Come on you sorry bunch of fatties (me included) we can do this!!!!

was v v hard to stay away from the biscuit tin yesterday but I managed it and am another 0.75lb off today making -6.25 in 3 days ShockGrin

Still need to lose another 9.25lb to get to 30 March weight but that's a lot less scary than 15.5!

Hope it's a healthy day for all today Smile

luckoftheirish · 11/05/2012 08:56

Well done fjorny keep it up Grin

I am down 2.25lb on yesterday horrific weigh in Smile

Drink tons and tons of water. Had bran flakes and prunes for brekkie, a huge salad wrap for lunch and a huge salad for tea.. No snacking! It was hard last night as I felt like a really needed something sweet, had a cup of tea and then a cheese straw!!

Gym this am and hopefully a repeat of healthy food today and no Wine this weekend Shock

FjorGynAndHotWater · 11/05/2012 10:39

Hurrah for your much better weigh in today loti Smile have you got your scales from their hiding place or had you been to the gym already???

I have had a bit of a run this morning but only to the train station!

luckoftheirish · 11/05/2012 13:33

Lol fjorny, took the scales back out of their hiding place after yesterday's disaster Grin.. Don't want to get too hung up on them but 10lbs is/was a heck of a lot Hmm

Did 40 mins on the stepper, couple of mins run to cool down and 5 mins on power plate!

Yummy salad wrap for lunch Grin

OctopusSting · 11/05/2012 13:37

1k run in new trainers and shins ok (woo woo), 1hr circuits.

Food crap last night, but the sun is shining, so i am hoping for a new start with my new shoes from now on Smile

No weigh in for me as i am completely in denial HmmGrin

luckoftheirish · 11/05/2012 14:16

Hurrah it seems like we are all getting back into it GrinGrinGrin

Well done Octo and fab news about the trainers. I desperately need to get some!

I am not going to weigh til nxt Friday so here's to a week of healthy eating exercise and losses GrinGrinGrin

OctopusSting · 11/05/2012 17:58

Just bought some new sorbothane insoles - i have had mine for about 7 years Blush

So, fully kitted out and no excuses........

onanightlikethis · 11/05/2012 22:14

Well. Scales say 10.2. Not bad for a diet of wine and picky food. Leg finally feeling better, maybe can run next week. Road bike got delivered today- it's amazing and currently living in the house. :))
Keep on track everyone - summers nearly here

DoctorGilbertson · 12/05/2012 01:44

hellooooo again. You really need another thread so that in the once a year moment when I am full of wine induced indiscretion and a feeling of well being and have access to the internet I don't need to gate crash a fitness thread (which by the way is very guilt inducing as I am back at my just post DD weight so need to properly think about things). Am thinking, which is a forerunner to doing.

Finca Fleichman is a good wine to recommend. I am also applying for UK jobs, which is a big change. Not sure if we will move, and not sure if I will be successful for anything that I apply for, but seeing what will happen.

Children delightful. DD sometimes has a lovely "Yes" in answer to questions (in contrast with her frequent tantrumming no) and DS as temperamental and gorgeous as ever, doing really well at nursery.

Work a bit rubbish for both me and DH, although both of us employed so we can't really complain and don't mostly.

Love to all,

luckoftheirish · 12/05/2012 12:46

1km cross trainer and 5.6km interval run/walk on treadmill, 5 mins on power plate, then took dds for a splash in the pool

Following ff to the letter too Smile Octo remind me, are you suppose to eat calories burnt ie be in the red or stay in the green Confused

DoctorGilbertson · 12/05/2012 19:59

aaaah apologies for the ramblings of last night, and I will continue to take inspiration from exercising and achievements

luckoftheirish · 12/05/2012 20:10

No apologises needed DrG, lovely to hear from you x

FjorGynAndHotWater · 12/05/2012 20:39

Hello DrG! Glad you've dropped by, you may be interested to know that VG is due to have her baby by CS on Monday! Will PM you to let you know how they get on Smile Also good luck with the job applications!

DoctorGilbertson · 13/05/2012 00:43

oooooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Lovely news.

luckoftheirish · 13/05/2012 11:53

5mins cross trainer, 35 mins interval on bike and 5 mins powerplate woo hoo Grin

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 13/05/2012 12:31

Okay, I've bought The Shred and some weights and will start it tomorrow. Every day for 30 days as a mini-challenge/kick-up-the-bum. I shall do this whether eating healthily or not. From experience when I am exercising properly I want to eat well. I'll check in here after each session.

luckoftheirish · 13/05/2012 15:22

Go for it my child Smile the shred is a fab workout, doesn't take too long and leave you sweating buckets Grin

OctopusSting · 13/05/2012 19:20

From experience when I am exercising properly I want to eat well

Ditto MyChild.

Hi DrG, please don't apologise for popping by. Tis always lovely to see you Smile. Sorry work is a bit shite and good luck for jobhunting either there or in the UK.

Well done on the gym LOTI. I haven't done much exercise but food has been marginally better

luckoftheirish · 14/05/2012 11:43

40 mins stepper, 5 mins hill walk to cool down and 5 mins powerplate.

Eating was ok at weekend but could have been betterHmm so have stocked up on the healthy stuff again, really hoping for some good movement on scales come Friday Hmm

luckoftheirish · 14/05/2012 20:28
