Had a wobble at the weekend involving mini crunches.......back on track so protein days until Thursday and walking an hour a day to compensate. At last all the Xmas chocolate, wine, beer has been consumed which makes it easier for me.
Had mackerel pâté for dinner, ham
Omelette for lunch. Feel full! Peppermint tea and bed now. Also am back at work which makes dieting so much easier for me.

Day 3 of attack phase. Dr d says I should feel "invigorated"!!!! .just feel full of meat and pissed off that my dh has used up all skimmed milk!

Alouisee · 10/01/2012 11:14

I felt invigorated on day 3! I'm now on day 7 and fully in the swing of things. Today is a pv day, I've walked the dog and I've had a galette and a coffee which has killed my headache. Salmon for lunch or dinner today probably with a cucumber raita type thing and possibly a crust of oatbran and garlic.

Snapespeare · 10/01/2012 12:07

I've done two PV days on the trot - I just couldn't resist a salad with last nights steak.

No time for Galette this morning. Have had my fat free yoghurt and a packet of lean ham. Scales arrive tomorrow - lovely colleague who hasn't seen me since last thursday says I look 7lbs lighter. I'll take that! :)

drywhiteplease · 10/01/2012 12:15

alouisee I have Thai frozen herbs now.can you tell me how you made the fish/crab cake?

Alouisee · 10/01/2012 12:52

I blitzed the crab and the prawns with a stick blender, added an egg white - I use the egg white in the carton for convenience Blush. Then added about 2 teaspoons of herbs and dropped into a frying pan sprayed with oil. It didn't keep it's shape perfectly but tasted divine. I might try with tuna and crab later and add a teaspoon of oatbran to help with the shape.

Dastardly27 · 10/01/2012 13:49

I finally feel like I am getting into the swing of it now - famous last words! Have done PP yesterday and today - but only had cauliflower on Sunday. Got on scales this morning (naughty SWI) which showed almost a kilo off since yesterday so yay! Bought more yogurts. Favourite desert is SF jelly with 2 pots of 0%yogurt poured over with a teaspoon of the oat bran on top. Yummy!

Alouisee · 10/01/2012 14:01

How long have you been at it Dastardly?

drywhiteplease · 10/01/2012 15:04

alouiseethanks for the recipe, will try tonight....need something lighter than steak and chicken breast.

Dastardly27 · 10/01/2012 16:12

Been doing it since January 1st. 2.3kg loss until this morning. Going to have veggies tomorrow and make a chicken curry. Those crab cakes look nice. I tried some fish thing from a free recipe sheet that came with The Mail last year. Shan't be doing it again! On the Dukan board today (not paying) and a small onion and 2 tablespoons of tomato purée are allowed in attack. Yippee!!!lol

minceorotherwise · 10/01/2012 18:45

Day one!! Need help with what you are all eating and snacking on..can you post a few more 'what I ate today'
Ta

drywhiteplease · 10/01/2012 18:53

My advice before you start ap is to cook things in advance so you have stuff in fridge ready so you are not tempted.
Today so far,
Vanilla activia yog
Galette(made with no f frais, just oat bran and egg, sticks tog better)with smoked haddock pâté on top.
Tonight going to try alouisee Thai crab cake and another vanilla yog.
Good luck.on day 3 and full!

Alouisee · 10/01/2012 19:45

Dinner was a salmon fillet with a side dollop of fromage frais with chives stirred through and a salad. I made a big chopped salad today and put it in a Kilner Jar in the fridge, might do that every pv day, so handy and looks very tempting.

Cold sliced roast beef with a scrape of horseradish was a lovely snack today.

drywhiteplease · 10/01/2012 20:19

alouiseehave just had your crab cake.......tasted amazing!!!!!!!!will be oing that again. Thanks

WentworthMillerMad · 10/01/2012 20:22

Hi mince - today I had 0% Greek yogurt with oat bran - mixed in sweetener and vanilla flavour.
Omelette for lunch, some sliced ham
Few unsalted, unroasted mixed nuts (not Dukan but have been on this diet for so long now and they don't seem to effect my weight loss)
Meatballs, low sugar ketchup - 1 tsp
Peppermint tea

Tomorrow I have crab pâté from sainsburys
My own prawn cocktail - tiny spoon low fat mayo and low ketchup
Two small cubes weight watchers cheese and pickled onion - again not strictly Dukan!
Slices pastrami

Good luck - protein days are yuk!

Thanks everyone for your updates, day two here I come!

happygonicky · 10/01/2012 22:55

Getting married in march, so have chosen to dukan. It's going strangely well, have definitely lost a few pounds. Would like to lose about a stone, and given that I only started last week, it seems a realistic prospect. Hen party stress - don't ask !- resulted in me downing three large diet gin and tonics. Could be better, could be worse. I haven't suppered diet, have I? Time is marching on before big day. I do loads of exercise.... !!!

Alouisee · 10/01/2012 23:11

I'm sure you'll lose a stone by March but you will have to lay off the G&T and all alcohol. Ive only been doing it for a week and I'm down half a stone with noticeably looser trousers and a flatter tummy. Post your meals and snacks here for two reasons, firstly to keep track of what you're eating and most importantly to inspire the rest of us.

drywhiteplease · 11/01/2012 08:12

happy congrats! There's nothing like getting married to motivate you to loose weight.dukan is great....have not been at all hungry.
Alcohol is a prob....am desperate and I think the w/e will be tough, luckily not going out.
alouisee do you know when alcohol is allowed?

Alouisee · 11/01/2012 08:47

Woop! 9lbs down in 9 days. :o :o :o

Snapespeare · 11/01/2012 09:04

yesterday was also a PV day - I can't seem to shake the veggies at all at the moment. must. try. harder. oh god, and I had a handful of peanuts. I found them at the back of the cupboard. they've gone now. Hmm get me back on track ladies, please!

scales should arrive today. terrifying.

congratulations happy and welcome! drywhite booze allowed again after cruise, so whenever you are at true-weight. I am viewing this with a hint of scepticism, switching from bottles of the occasional glass of wine to a light spirit and diet mixer and viewing it as an occasional slip rather than the end of the world.

Snapespeare · 11/01/2012 09:05

Alouisee thats amazing! very well done (ditches peanuts, is inspired!)

Alouisee · 11/01/2012 09:26

I have noticed that the scales only register a loss after a pv day - which could all change at anytime.

I've got an app on my phone called weight bot which is strangely satisfying because it plots your weight on a graph, it can be linked to snazzy wifi scales which I don't posess but entering it manually is easy enough.

WentworthMillerMad · 11/01/2012 09:56

hey snape / dry white- I have lost 2 stones on Dukan and have eaten nuts / had a couple of large slimline G and ts after day 20. weight loss continues..................for me it's about finding a sustainable diet that works for you. Have been on this since october so don't worry about a few nuts - low carb anyway!! I think for me its ditching the bread and pasta, the 2 choc digestives at break, the kit kat at 4 o clock, the lack of exercise and tons of white and red wine.
ooo i also have olives in brine as a snack!!
