New thread for us WW devotees.

Blondes is head honcho but is busy showing off her tan.

Me - I am the resident statistician - weekly updates for thread losses.

So jump on in and post away - we are having a summer challenge to keep us on track.

hello, I am a newbie, back on the WW wagon after a month off. I tried it last month, but didn't lose a single pound in 3 weeks, despite tracking everything :(

tbh, it really put me off the new PP system, so I rebelled for a few weeks, and got a bit fatter. So I am back. I have lost 2lb in my first week, and 2lb on my own before that. WI day is tomorrow, I am on my period, but very nervous about the WI.

I am on 29PP, and have had around 20 of my weeklies. I am aiming to cut these down till I am using the 29PP and no weeklies, as I am guessing that maybe that I didn't lose anything last time round because I was eating all of my weeklies (which I really don't feel like I need, to get through the day.

Enough waffle. WI day is tomorrow, wish me luck, hope I do as well as everyone else seems to be doing on this thread!

vanimal · 14/07/2011 22:39

I have a stone to lose btw - want to get from 9st 13lb to 9st.

vnmum · 15/07/2011 07:58

well done collision, benbon
welcome jenny and well done on loss so far
welcome back vanimal

blondes I know you know how to lose the weight Smile, but how about maintaining till you go away then just having a damn good time and get back on the wagon on your return. I am Envy by the way, have always wanted to go to Ibiza when i was younger and never got there

Whitershadeofpale · 15/07/2011 09:38

Checking in with a 2.5lb loss this week. That's 15lb in total now Smile

SheepAreSuper · 15/07/2011 11:05

Well done on your losses collision, benbon & whiter!
Hello Jenny & vanimal.

0.5pm GAIN for me this week. My naughtiness of last week catching up with me.
I am on L1 D7 of Shred alongside W4 of c25k and my muscles are probably in shock. I've heard it's fairly common not to lose for the first couple of weeks of shredding so not gonna get disheartened. Wish I'd taken measurements though!

Good luck at your weigh ins!

SheepAreSuper · 15/07/2011 11:07

0.5lb!! Bloody iPhone Blush

SpringFollows · 15/07/2011 11:41

Trying out a new name change in a mo... we are in summer now right ? (!)

SummerLeaps · 15/07/2011 11:45

Here I am. Newly name changed. I did not want to change without telling people who I am. :) (I have this seasonal haiku thing going on with my names).

Have been very bad with points this week. My DS is very ill and up alot at night. I have been comfort eating.... and last night (this morning) at 3 am comfort red-wine drinking. Blush

things looking better for DS (thankfully) this monring and I am about to log off and go and sleep.

supercal · 15/07/2011 11:51

Hello to all!

Well done on the losses and good luck to the newbies.

I'm checking in with my first week's result: loss of 3lbs

I'll take that, thank you very much. It was a social week.

I'm almost as happy about the fact that I managed to stay within my points completely (using activity points as well) - something I haven't managed to do in the past

hmc · 15/07/2011 14:00

Lots of great weight losses here - well done all Grin. Commiserations sheep and vnmum on your small gains. vnmum - enjoy the ball!

blondes - Ibiza eh? - the jewel of the south coast (Bournemouth) not worth a return visit then? Grin. It's good to hear that you are planning things in your life that you can look forward to...

Managed to maintain at my WW weigh in on Weds - which is fine since I am at goal. Off on holiday next week so perhaps I should have aimed to lose a few pounds to give myself a 'weight gain margin'!

JennyPiccolo · 15/07/2011 15:45

Thanks for the lovely welcomes. Well done supercal, that's ace.

I just weighed myself and it doesn't look like I've lost anything again! I don't know how.

My weigh in day is Sunday though so I'll keep on keeping on. Blergh, having a really hungry day.

Fairenuff · 15/07/2011 17:48

Well Day 1 has gone well so far. I have tracked all my points and managed to do 14,000+ steps at work today so it's a start. Well done to all the 'losers' you are really inspirational Smile

JoJoBaldwin · 15/07/2011 19:17

Great losses collision, benbon & whiter x

Have been so busy, can't keep up with thread and tracking not been great either. Tomorrow I weigh in to see how much i put on while away - dread to think. Really hope I am not back at what I was in January but it's a distinct possibility!

Today have mostly eaten vogel soya and linseed bread, mushrooms, hummus, fruit and one falafel. Determined to eat good wholefoods now and it's very nice.

Going to give this a go tonight, will report back!

supercal · 15/07/2011 19:19

Thank you JennyPiccolo (I really like your name, btw)

And well done Fairenuff on 14,000 steps - wow

I was so glad I started a new week today, as it meant I had weekly points to squander

It was DD's sports day in the local big park, and we stayed there afterwards and had an ice cream, and I had a can of sprite too (something I haven't had for over a week). Was good to have some summer treats for that Friday feeling knowing I'd be within my WW allowance.

JennyPiccolo · 15/07/2011 19:35

jojo, there's a really good recipe for falafel burgers on bbc good food , they weren't too high in points iirc.

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5605/falafel-burgers

I'vr found this website really useful because it gives you all the nutritional info to enter into the WW online site. Also made parmesan spring chicken and chicken and chorizo paella. Really tasty!

supercal, cheers! It's a character off Happy Days

JoJoBaldwin · 15/07/2011 20:01

Falafel burgers sound right up my street, thanks Jenny!

vanimal · 15/07/2011 21:45

I gained a pound this week :( I have pointed everything, used up around 15 of my weeklies. WHY WHY WHY doesn't PP work for me?

I lost 1.5 stones on the old WW, so I know I can do this, how is everyone else managing their points?

:(

JennyPiccolo · 15/07/2011 23:36

I've not used any of my weeklies this week or my activity points. Are you drinking enough water?

monahue · 16/07/2011 12:54

I lost a staggering half a pound this week :(
I had a STS last week so am in a bad mood now! But, I will eat all ofmy weeklies today and crack back on with the dailies tomorrow. Ho hum.

JoJoBaldwin · 16/07/2011 15:49

Well done on the half pound monahue, they all add up!

Still haven't weighed myself as have a stinking cold and can't face the walk to Boots WI machine in the pouring rain. Oh well, shall just have to stay in denial a bit longer.

Tried the saute chickpea and bns ottolenghi recipe last night and it was really nice. Stuck to the recipe so I know how it "should" taste and next time will work at shaving off points as he is rather liberal with the olive oil. It's introduced me to caraway seeds though, always like to know how to use a new spice. The yoghurt sauce was really good with it, though again I think just some total with lemon jiuce, salt and pepper will work just as well as his version which has 2tbsps of olive oil in it.

All good fun trying something new though. Might give this one a go in the next couple of days:

wizzler · 16/07/2011 16:19

Welcome to Fairenuff, Jenny, Supercal, Vanimal
Summer.. hope your DS is ok soon.. it is really hard trying to get your head round anything else at all when one of the DC is ill, so good luck with everything
Well done to Littlefish, Whiter, Collision, Supercal, Mona
Blondes.. I refuse to believe you no longer fit in those trousers.. surely you do not need to lose much ? Glad you are getting a break though.

vnmum · 16/07/2011 21:00

well done whiter supercal and mona

The ball was good, there were fairground rides and stuff too. suffering abit today for it though, lol

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2011 23:29

life is too short HMC

so yes blondes shall be boogieing in ibiza -well actually sunbathing and in bed asleep by 10pm lol

managed to lose a lb this week - fuck knows how tbh

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2011 23:31

wizzler i can get into them, but soooooooo tight and a serious case of camel toe - attractive NOt!!!

my shape has seemed to have changed :(

BartletForAmerica · 17/07/2011 08:10

Good morning - happy Sunday everyone!

I do WW online so have Sunday am as my weigh in - and I've lost 2.2lbs! Grin

Well done, Blondes, Monahue and everyone else on weight loss.

14,000 steps is great, fairenhuff!

Hope you are feeling better, JoJo.

Sheep, that's helpful knowing what you point the Shred as. 20 mins of aerobics for 1 PP (according to the online thing) doesn't seem to do it justice really!
