Hi All. Have been AWOL for about a week or so again - a sure sign that I've gone a bit renegade and not tracking properly because I don't check in on here when I'm being 'bad' (it's a denial thing!). Just too much socialising with food going on at the mo which is making things really tough but at least managed to shift a pound this week via some vague tracking in my head. I really need to get back on track and try and regain the discipline I had at the start. Four weeks to my holiday and it would be lovely to shift the best part of another half a stone.

I'm too behind to name check properly but have skimmed last few pages and think hmc and willaby deserve a special mention - a huuuuge well done to both of you!

DD's birthday weekend (children's party this morning followed by family lunch tomorrow) so next 2 days are looking fraught with danger but will try and limit the damage and then really get back on track on Monday.

ledkr · 09/07/2011 07:59

bandgeek-yes i feel like that, especially with my disappointing loss.I am strictly tracking this week and using my extras too but i cant shake that feeling of "no life" which is ridculous and shows how obsessed with food i am. The only thing that did click yesterday was that i can have low point days to enjoy and evening meal and a treat.I am going to use my extras at weekends cos im ok in the week.
I have a wardrobe of pre pg clothes id love to wear.
Have a mn meetup tonight so will have to eat lightly today to save vodka points [gri]

vnmum · 09/07/2011 10:05

welcome invader and well done on your loss so far
welcome back daclaire good to see you're back on track and well done on the loss
lola well done on your loss this week. it sounds like you have a plan for getting back on track

I've got a party and bbq today that involves alcohol so i may end up going over points so if i sts this week i will be pleased. after next weekend i will be able to get back on track fully (have my summer ball next weekend so i will be lucky ti still have weeklies left after it)

InvaderZim · 09/07/2011 14:34

OK, I figured it out! The silly app put me on maintainence after I reached my 5% "goal". Harrumph!

[goes back into lurk mode]

SheepAreSuper · 09/07/2011 15:13

Gosh this is a great start to a new thread. Well done on all the losses.

Having been very (and I mean VERY) naughty last weekend I'm pleased with 0.5lb loss this week.

I'm still getting to grips with the plan to be honest. Not sure if it's beacuse I'm online rather than meetings so it's much easier to throw in the towel on a bad day and go nuts and there's only me (and you) that know about it.
I'm such a foodie as well and it can really feel like I'm depriving myself if we go out so I'd just rather not go :(
I do the same as you ledkr and low point during the day. DP (who's built like a whippet and can eat what he wants - although I'm now lighter than him again. YAY!) likes to have a nice evening meal so the bulk of my dailies go on that. I save my weeklies for a weekend but I can get through those in a flash.

Anyway onwards and inwards. Good luck this week!

BartletForAmerica · 10/07/2011 07:57

Hi, just checking to say that I've lost 1.4lb this week. Didn't go over my points but didn't do much exercise as I had a bad cold so definitely room for improvement.

I'm breastfeeding so get loads of extra points, but now only breastfeeding 2-3 times a day. Do I still use the extra points?

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/07/2011 10:18

fab loss's girls :)

not great weather in bournemouth but the pizza and wine have made up for it Blush

when will i learn wine is so bad on ww -

TOTAL WASTE OF POINTS!!!!

Collision · 10/07/2011 10:21

vodka is better with slimline tonic Blondes!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/07/2011 10:28

yep im a gin and slim girl but do love wine

vnmum · 10/07/2011 15:26

well done sheep and bartlett

I hit the pimms and lemonade last night at a friends. Said to DH this morning that i couldn't have drunk that much as i didn't feel really drunk but he said that whenever i went away from the table my friend was topping up my glassSmile, kind friends i have Grin, needless to say i didn't track last night.

I also had a chinese when we got in at about 10pm so i am well and truly over my weeklies. Hey ho, i don't go out that much so i'm enjoying it while it lasts and i know it won't derail me completely

herdingcats · 10/07/2011 15:30

Sheep -that is good ,if you feel you have been so bad IYSWIM
Bartlett- its good to lose that amount, maybe if you're feeding half as many times in a day ,use half your feeding PP. Only an idea,as I have never been doing this and BF.
Blondes- never mind about the weather just enjoy your weekend .Give my friends a wave ,they live thereSmile
I've tried to be good this wekend , but went a bit off piste last night as I was helping a friend move house and she ordered an Indian take away for us all to eat . I had prawn curry ,1/3 of a portion of pilau rice and 1/4 of a naan bread. I pointed it up at a guess of 24 points. I hope that works out ok.
Oh well today is another day and I have kept myself busy so as not to blow this week completely. Done lots of jobs including baking for DH to take to work and for the Brownie stall at our village gala. All things I don't like Grin prevents temptation.
I am ringing tomorrow to find out when my operation will happen, absolutely terrified now, but also glad that I finally have light at the end of the tunnel
Good luck at WI this week everyone.

BartletForAmerica · 10/07/2011 17:30

Just logged in to add my points for today. It looks like they have changed the breastfeeding points so you can say if you are EBF or BF+solids, so I've dropped down to that. It is only 7 fewer points a day, so I'll stick to this for a week and see what happens at my next WI next Sunday morning (I measure myself first thing every morning just before my shower).

herdingcats, hope the operation can happen - best to get things done and not hanging over you, eh?

Willabywallaby · 10/07/2011 20:30

My garden doesn't look like it been rubbish weather down here blondes, we were up in Surrey this weekend so ate far too much with DH's Auntie.

Thanks for the congrats. I have signed back up for esource since it's £15 for 3 months I missed the phone app.

Well done the losers especially wynken that was amazing.

Knackered now after busy weekend so a small snack and bed for me!

NorkyButNice · 10/07/2011 20:35

Quick question for you all!

If you get to the end of the day and have points left, what do you spend them on? I'm on 38 at the moment so have 10-12 points leftover after dinner.

I'm trying to train myself away from chocolate and crisps, but with fruit being free I don't know what's best to eat! Tonight I had 23 left so have had a large gin and tonic, a meringue nest with strawbs and Greek yoghurt - am stuffed but still got 6 left!

LolaLadybird · 10/07/2011 22:04

Hope you've had a great weekend Blondes despite the weather.

Herding - hope you get a quick date when you phone up tomorrow so that you can get it over with

Sheep - I have just switched from meetings to WW online and I think it does require greater willpower because there's no public WI. In hindsight, I think I needed the meetings at first to get me started and into the right frame of mind. I've now lost 18 lbs so hope the motivation of the results so far and this thread will keep me going.

Norky - I would love to have the problem of leftover points at the end of the day but it just doesn't happen like that for me! Alcohol probably the best way of using them if you're trying to keep away from the junk and maybe nice cheese and biscuits if you want a savoury snack.

So quite a foodie weekend with DD's various birthday celebrations. She woke up at 4.45 am yesterday with excitement and by the time she'd gone back off to sleep, DS had put in appearance - the resulting tiredness and availability of cake were a bad combination. Now have a few clear days before Thursday when I have dinner arranged with some friends and then lunch out for my birthday on the Friday followed by more socialising over meals at the weekend. Definitely need to find a better strategy for coping with meals out because that's where it's all going wrong for me at the moment ...

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 10/07/2011 22:10

Hello everyone!

I've been AWOL for a bit, trying out the maintenance thing. struggling a bit to get the balance right, as ridiculously I'm not eating enough and am now 8lb below goal! I have had to buy some size 8 jeans for the first time since I was a teenager. loving the propoints! I am expecting this to fluctuate a bit though as will be weaning DD2 onto formula for 2 feeds a day in the next month, as I go back to work at the beginning of August and she's been my weight loss helper!

I'm off on holiday before that though, going to France on Friday for a week and hoping not to get too badly off track with the croissants and baguettes - i think these may be the main temptations for me!

was pleased to see hmc and willabywallaby reached goal this week - CONGRATULATIONS! hope I didn't miss any other gold members! I got my proper gold card this week. it's shiny!

androbbob · 10/07/2011 22:19

Evening all - someone mentioned esource - where will I find that? Cant get to class noe until September (boo) but need the on line help to find points and track - any ideas? The Cheaper the better! Need to get a phone that will take an app but cant upgrade until Sept.

Had a lovely salady weekend - hoping for a loss tomorrow when WI.

Will update the Summer Challenge to date tomorrow and see where everyone is in their aims!!

Hi everyone. I'm on my phone so can't name check everyone but fantastic on buying the size 8 jeans Shoulders. Welldone everyone else on their losses as well.

I had my first WI this morning and have lost 4lbs!! I'm so chuffed Grin it's been a bit of a slog this week, although I was in a more positive frame of mind at the weekend - probably because I can actually see the difference in my stomach. I've been power walking and using the xbox kinect for exercise ad think that's made a huge difference, considering my activity levels before hand.

I'm away to Lincolnshire for a few days at the end of the week though, so challenge will be to see if I can lose, or at least maintain, when I'm on holiday Smile

herdingcats · 11/07/2011 11:33

androbbob- I can't even remember what my summer challenge goal was Blush
bandgeek- give me a wave when you're in Lincs ,we live there Smile
Have had my telephone call ,they wanted me in 2-3 weeks, but I'm going for end of Aug beginning of Sept as I need to arrange help with DD and nobody will be about in the summer holidays. Chuffed and terrified at the same time. Everyone says it will change my life, I hope so
Also gives me time to get to goal before it Wink

EuphemiaMcGonagall · 11/07/2011 11:39

I'm really struggling with WW and I seem to be stuck.

I've been doing WW online for about three months now, and I was losing a pound a week quite steadily but now I've been stuck at my current weight for threee weeks. Sad

I'm using my 29 points every day, but I rarely use the 49 extra points: is this where I'm going wrong? Have I slowed my metabolism down?!

Help!

ledkr · 11/07/2011 18:57

cant help as not experienced but i dont seem to do fantastically on ww but im being extra vigilant on it this week to see if that helps,i have literally counted everything that has passed my lips.Ive been using my 49 for little treats but dont know if thats good or bad, didnt use them last week and only losr 1.5.

Collision · 11/07/2011 21:57

Bought a WW pedometer and earned 13 pro points at Zumba tonight!!! How smug am I?? Grin

HattiFattner · 11/07/2011 22:22

i lost 2 lbs this week - and Im due on tomorrow!

Total so far.....13.5lbs. in 4 weeks. I am chuffed with that. Being fairly diligent - had to cut back on the wine last week, as realised how much I was drinking [hblush] -

HattiFattner · 11/07/2011 22:24
