bishbosh ive gone from a large 18 to a 10/12 still kept a fair wack of my knockers so often a 12 on top :)

bishboschone · 14/01/2012 10:08

Wow Ben Bon that's brilliant , do you look really different?

Littlefish · 14/01/2012 12:40

Bishbosh. I started off at a size 24 (26 in some things) and am now between a 16 and 18. That was a 5 stone loss. I've still got about 3 stone to go, and expect to get down to a size 12 ish. I reckon it's about a stone per size as a rough rule.

bishboschone · 14/01/2012 13:42

Wow little fish . That does inspire me to keep going.
Do all of you use your extra points ? I havent used any yet and I know of you don't eat enough you won't lose. I know how it feels to be thin as I was before ds ( only 7 months old) so I know I want to get back to that. I just can't wear clothes I want to at my current size and being short doesn't help.

Littlefish · 14/01/2012 14:16

It really varies Bish. Some people on this thread eat all theirs and continue to lose weight. Others have found that they simply don't lose weight if they eat them. It really is a personal thing. I probably eat about half of mine now, but at the beginning, because I was on a lot of points, I very rarely at any (I started on 43 points and am now down to 31).

MostlyFine · 15/01/2012 12:03

Hi everyone. Was here intermittently last year as cackling dragon but had all the usual life things get in the way, seconded at work, some health issues etc so am back with a vengeance (hopefully lol) now.

I notice a lot of people have gone - I hope many met their goals. Glad to see you littlefish as you were one of my inspirations last year - so pleased for you that you have done so well.

Am pretty much at my same starting point 19st 9 last week (though had a three pound loss this week so am delighted). Am a big girl (tall and broad) so am hoping for an eventual size 14/16 as I would look ridiculous at less. For some reason it seems to be a bit easier this time so here's hoping for real change before summer.

First goal - under 19 st hopefully should reach that in the next 2-3 weeks.
Longer term - 60 pounds off for birthday in aug (which would avg at 2lbs per week so achievable methinks)

Sorry for long post but I though 'saying' this all 'out loud' may help :)

Littlefish · 15/01/2012 16:09

Welcome back mostly fine. Lovely to see you again.

Your starting weight is half a pound above what mine was. I'm tall too - 5ft. I've lost nearly 5 stone and it's amazing the difference that it has made to the way I look. Even though I'm still at least 2.5 stone above my goal weight, I'm now a size 16 -18 and can shop in loads of "normal" shops. Laura Ashley, Phase Eight, Monsoon and Debenhams are my current favourites. I'm looking forward to being able to shop in Hobbs, Jigsaw and Gap.

Keep posting this time - we will all support you! I'm definitely here for the long haul!

MizK · 16/01/2012 13:27

Hi all, thanks for the welcome. Just a quick update really, I weighed in on Thursday and had lost 3.5lbs which I was really pleased with. Obviously dont feel any difference yet but am hopeful that within a few weeks my waistbands will stop digging in so much....
Hi mostlyfine and well done for loss, will be nice to see everybody's progress as the weeks go on....
Will probably not get chance to post again til just after Thursdays weigh in so good luck for the next few days all :)

GlueSticksEverywhere · 16/01/2012 13:43

I started on 29 but found that eating that plus my weeklies meant I lost NOTHING, not a half pound! I started gradually reducing them over weeks and weeks to see how many I needed to lose to actually lose any weight and I am now down to 25 a day, plus I give myself about 10 weeklies for wiggle room (so probably on average is about 26/27 a day). It seems so small compared to what others eat. Has anyone else had this?

bishboschone · 16/01/2012 14:31

I don't know , I have done 2 weeks of eating 29 and have lost . I would happily eat 25 but the Ww lady told me to eat them all . I can't see how you would lose weight eating all those extra points .

bishboschone · 16/01/2012 14:32

Well done mizk Smile

GlueSticksEverywhere · 16/01/2012 14:57

bishboschone Did you eat your weeklies too?

bishboschone · 16/01/2012 15:38

When you say weeklies , do you mean the extra points on top of my 29? .. If so , no I'm scares to ! Sad

GlueSticksEverywhere · 16/01/2012 16:12

Yes those one's. At first I was told by the leader that if I wanted to divide them over the week I could, so I could have an extra 7 a day. I don't know if she was wrong or what but I didn't lose any weight and eventually got disheartened with it.

bishboschone · 16/01/2012 16:58

Yeah that's what thy told me but I was a bit hhmmm . I'm eating 29 exactly and lost 3.5 pounds the first week an 2.5 pounds the second week. Week 3 now .. I am happy to put in the effort but I I don't get results I get the serious hump. I'm also doing couch to 5 k to shimmy it along a bit as I want my 2 stone gone by may or sooner preferably !!

MostlyFine · 16/01/2012 17:27

thanks for the lovely welcome back Littlefish so nice to see someone who has had such wonderful results - helps to see the big picture :)

great loss mizK well done.

this is week two for me so am tracking and planning and hope to see ood results myself - WI day is Sunday so a while to go yet :)

Littlefish · 16/01/2012 18:06

I meant to say that I am 5ft 9, not 5ft!

androbbob · 16/01/2012 21:56

I did wonder littlefish as 5ft is not tall! Grin

We have been invided to a wedding in April - so need to get a shift on with the weight loss as its a posh wedding! I will look like one of the Beverly Hillbillies at this weight and I dont do dresses - I am dreading it already!

This thread is ace. Wish I would've found it when I first started WW, two weeks ago!!

Can someone please help me though, I have done do well so far but gave in and ate crap for lunch at TGI's.

Has anyone got the book that tells them the points of what I ate.

I had cheese and bacon skins to start.

Chicken caesar wrap with fries and coleslaw for main

And a cinnemon waffle with this scoops of ice cream for desert.

I am thinking this is basically my 49 extra points, but as I am being v carefully to record my points I'd love to know what it really came to.

androbbob · 17/01/2012 19:52

I havent got the book but it would be a fair assumption to write it off as your 49 weekly points and stick to your daily amount until WI day. Are you able to up the exercise this week even if its a few power walks?

OP posts:
wantstosleepnow · 17/01/2012 20:12

Will defo be doing lots of exercise. Can't believe I did it!! It was all a blur, haha.

HattiFattner · 18/01/2012 08:18

estimate:

Loaded skins - 8pp
wrap - anywhere from 8 to 15pp
Fries 11pp
coleslaw 4-8 pp
waffle 5pp
ice cream 4pp per scoop. Plus any syrupy stuff...add another 2-3 pp

So yes, your 49 points are gone, but today is a another new day!

I lost 2.5 of my christmas indulgence this week - another lb and Im back to pre christmas weight. Im aiming for 13st by easter, 12 st by summer.

MissWooWoo · 18/01/2012 12:14

I'm in the same boat as you androbbob a mere pound this week. I'm disappointed beyond belief, this was my first real go at it after christmas, I stuck to my points, didn't use any of my weeklies to give myself a boost (or so I thought) and I was expecting at least a 2.5 lb loss. The weigh in lady said to "oh well clearly you haven't eaten enough then". This makes no sense to me at all, why would I have lost more if I'd eaten another 49 points??!! surely I'd have lost less than a pound. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

HattiFattner · 18/01/2012 12:39

I think your body goes into famine mode if you reduce calories too harshly, so you retain fat/water.

Keeping up the calories mean your metabolism switch down a gear.

herdingcats · 18/01/2012 15:58

I have the book

Loaded skins - 24pp
wrap not in book, but chicken Caesar salad is 24pp
Fries 11pp approx
coleslaw 4-8 pp approxapple crunch waffle listed as 25pp
ice cream and syrup not listed
Sorry to be the bearer of these results. If its any consolation I had over 100 points at a function I went to! At the time I wished I had not kept a note of the things I had, but now I realise it helped me learn what not to do.
