I can no longer kid myself that I am just curvy and happy about it .

I am happy at a small size 14 and I am now a large size 16 .

Does anybody want to join me in some mutual arse kicking to keep on track ?

My plan is to just eat less and move more .

I have tried low carbing in the past and it did work but I just couldn't keep it up for long .

I have also done ww before which did work longer term but I can't get to my local meetings anymore .

Please feel free to join in and tell me to stop eating rubbish and being a lazy sod .

Here you go, tibni. Any questions, just ask.

tibni · 28/06/2011 20:28

wow FoundWanting, it looks lovely. Just showed dh and he likes it too. Dont fancy bothering with a car for a short break so will have to take a look at how easy transfers are and flights etc. I have never been to Spain so really am clueless!

FoundWanting · 28/06/2011 20:45

I think that if you fly into Malaga, they will collect you from the airport.

I'm very envious. We haven't been able to go yet - 5 new passports = ouch! Hoping to go next May.

tibni · 28/06/2011 21:05

oooh I am getting excited now!

Just got to sort out childcare (not so easy with disabled son but possible, we managed to get our first couple of nights away last year with a lot of juggling and this is my 40th birthday).

If I am going away I will really have to shape up Grin

lookwhoschirpy · 28/06/2011 21:31

Right, DS2 had his developmental check today and is 2 stone and 2lbs. So I am setting that as my long term goal.

Quite frankly, he's bloody heavy and it has given me a bit of a wake up call that I'm carrying that around unnecessarily (as well as him) Shock

messybessie · 28/06/2011 21:58

Bugger Blush Name change outage!

tibni · 28/06/2011 22:07

Grin messy.

Good luck with the target.

travellingwilbury · 29/06/2011 07:13

messy Grin

My target is pretty much the same . I got down to 11 stone a couple of years ago and I know for a lot of people that would be too heavy , but for me I was happy and comfy at that weight and felt loads better about myself .

How is everyone doing this morning ?
Anyone need a kick ?
Or are we still all motivated to get rid of this flab ?

OP posts:
MumPotNoodle · 29/06/2011 07:44

kick please Grin.

travellingwilbury · 29/06/2011 07:54

potnoodle I thought you had run away ?

Get your arse into gear misses

How has your week been ?

OP posts:
MumPotNoodle · 29/06/2011 08:20

no, just keeping a low profile and lurking Grin.

Foodwise I am doing ok, exercise wise I am not.....am messing around with the same 2lb week after week, putting it on, losing it. Keep threatening myself with a bit of exercise but then come home from work and literally fall asleep GrinBlush.

tibni · 29/06/2011 08:39

kick needed here too.

Know today is going to be difficult. ds (asd) sports day and fun afternoon. Ds finds it difficult having me at school and will struggle with the number of people/ expectations. I find these situations stressful so am inclined to comfort eat. School are suggesting we stay for a junk food lunch with the children then it will be a fun afternoon with ice-cream and cake. There are only 50 children in the school so I want to support but dont want to blow my healthy eating totally.

I am working late afternoon /evening so no chance to get to the gym today either.

Right I am going to work on damage limitation. (in the past I would have just thought in for a penny Blush)

On a positive note my next target in 10 1/2 stone and I hope to make it in 2/3 weeks.

lydiathetattooedlady · 29/06/2011 13:02

hi! weigh in today... 2 1/2lb off yippee!
tibni not sure about cakes but how about lolly instead ice cream? THe ones like calippo or fuit pastel?? sugar wise they're crap but calorie wise not too bad i think!? i hope you have a nice time at sports day.
messy i weighed my ds this morning after reading your post and he's about 2 stone, its made me realise how much excess weight im carrying that i really dont want! gave myself a firm kick up the arse this morning!

tibni · 29/06/2011 14:07

well done lydia.

Didnt do too badly food wise. ds struggled with all changes so didnt really have time to be too naughty food wise.

travellingwilbury · 29/06/2011 17:21

Well done Lydia Grin

And you tibni for resisting . I hope ds has settled down now .

I have managed half hour of wii zumba this afternoon . It really does work up a sweat , even on the beginner levels . I think I will be waiting a little while before I progress to the tougher stages .

travellingwilbury · 30/06/2011 07:10

Hi tinker , sorry you have had a rough few days .

The zumba on wii is good fun if a bit knackering , but I guess that's the idea .

Good luck for friday , and don't worry if things aren't as good as you would like .

At least things are back on the right track now .

OP posts:
tibni · 30/06/2011 08:26

morning all Smile

Today is a new day and lets all make it a good one. (I could not do too many days like yesterday - I have the scars to prove it was a difficult one for ds)

On a positive note I did do shred yesterday which I didn't expect to fit in and this morning I am off to the gym where I intend to really push myself. I know that I have not had such a strict week food or exercise wise so am not expecting a big loss on Monday but I have not gone too silly either.

FoundWanting · 30/06/2011 08:56

Hello, everyone.

Sun is shining here and the DCs are all at home. Had an absolutely rubbish day yesterday, mostly because I am so tired and craving carbs. Also trying to empty the freezer to defrost it, so we're eating some odd things. Hmm

Have a good day.

MumPotNoodle · 30/06/2011 15:40

After yet another 2 hour sleep after work yesterday (been doing this for about a month now) I decided enough is enough.....how can I seriously be that knackered!!! So, dug out some old books and am embarking on a Joanna Hall plan.....been for an hours bristk walk, 7.500 steps and eaten well today so far. Will be hard to break my nap break but apparently I will have loads of energy soon if I stick to the plan Grin.

whyme2 · 01/07/2011 06:13

Good luck potnoodlemum I do like having a nap now and then. I think the walking helps most because you have to be outside. I might try and find my pedometer.

tibni - you sound like you will be toning up with the exercise and gym work. Don't worry too much if it isn't a great weight loss. How do your clothes fit now? Can you feel a difference there IYSWIM?

Today I need a big motivational kick! Last night dh and I ended up with a Chinese takeaway (yummy Blush ) but not so good as there is loads left this morning. Need to persuade the dcs to tuck in and then throw the rest.

tibni · 01/07/2011 13:38

Hi all,

whyme -hope you are feeling all motivated today having enjoyed your takeaway last night.

potnoodlemum, if I am at home at 3pm ish I dare not sit down as this is the time I could quite easily have a nap. Don't seem to have the same lull when I am working. I put some good music on and get moving to help me.

I really feel like I am making a real improvement to my fitness levels. Yesterday I did a 5km run then 2km row and today I have been doing speed and stamina work. I am starting to enjoy exercise again and getting a buzz from it.

Food wise I am ok but not brilliant. I am making better choices than I was but I could do with cutting back further if I want to see the pounds come off. Whenever I have attempted to lose weight in the past I have always managed very quickly (never needed to lose more than a stone but once the stone is off I slip back into bad pattens) this time I hope to make small but managable changes as a long term plan.

travellingwilbury · 01/07/2011 18:41

Hello everyone , still going strong . I am out tonight at a friends house for dinner and drinking . Wish me luck , she always makes the most amazing puddings .

I hope everyone is still doing ok .

OP posts:
FoundWanting · 02/07/2011 14:24

And so the weekend rolls round again...

Parties and Barbeques, children insisting they are starving every 5 minutes. Ooh, it is hard to stay strong.

Going to get busy in the garden to burn off some calories and keep me out of the kitchen.

whyme2 · 04/07/2011 06:57

Hi everyone,
Weekends. huh! That's all I have to say about that. Today is Monday and I am back on course although feeling pmt ish so not sure how well I will do food wise. But on a positive note I am keepig up with davinia and considering starting my 30 day shred again - 4 weeks to holls now.
Oh and dh has took the car to work so there will be lots of walking today whatever.
Hope everyone is doing okay. Any kicks needed? Feel like kicking something so just line up Grin
