I can no longer kid myself that I am just curvy and happy about it .

I am happy at a small size 14 and I am now a large size 16 .

Does anybody want to join me in some mutual arse kicking to keep on track ?

My plan is to just eat less and move more .

I have tried low carbing in the past and it did work but I just couldn't keep it up for long .

I have also done ww before which did work longer term but I can't get to my local meetings anymore .

Please feel free to join in and tell me to stop eating rubbish and being a lazy sod .

Morning all , weekends are a bit tricky here too , but that's what mondays are for , making up for the wine drinking . It has been such lovely weather that the garden would have been sad if it hadn't seen some wine .

Have done ok I think , have managed to do the wii zumba every day , and my food has been ok , just over done the wine thing so we shall see tomorrow .

Good luck today , weigh in for me tomorrow , scary .

Hi all,

I have come down with the lurgy - just a cold but it is knocking me out. Had visitors yesterday and the moment they left I fell asleep in a chair oblivious to the chaos of family life (so I can't be well)

Didnt do the gym yesterday and will not go today as I have to let my body fight this.

Hope everyone has a good week

travellingwilbury · 05/07/2011 06:33

Morning all , I knew I would suffer because of our weekend of wine drinking Blush

Just weighed and I have lost a pound , I had been on track to lose about 3 and then the last two days 2 went on . Bummer , must try harder this week and stay away from the wine .

How is everyone doing ? It is getting very quiet in here ?

OP posts:
whyme2 · 05/07/2011 07:08

I was thinking it was getting quiet too . .

I have lost 1lb also. I blame the weekend but actually I am quite pleased because i was not expecting to have lost anything after the last few bars of chocolate days.

I've been keeping with the exercise and looking longingly at my size 16 jeans. Hopefully be back in them by autumn.

tibni hope you are on the mend soon, lots of rest will help you recover quicker.

Congratulations travelling - a pound gone is still a pound gone Smile

travellingwilbury · 05/07/2011 07:11

Thanks whyme and well done to you too Grin

It is those bloody weekends , I can be all organised during the week , but too many get togethers on a weekend seems to ruin things .

Maybe I should become a hermit for a while

Morning - well done whyme2 and travellingwilbury on your loss. I dont have scales at home and am avoiding the gym until I have shaken my cold off but I know that I will not have lost.

Weekend it all went to pot with me too! But if we want loss that we can maintain longterm then I guess it has to be slow and realistic.

lydiathetattooedlady · 05/07/2011 11:21

soooooooooooooooooo...im starting again today from scratch after a truly awful weekend. Have been to a 30th birthday mealand night out friday, hubby took us out saturday for a curry with our wedding gift voucher, my nephews 4th birthday bbq day on sunday. Think ive put back on my 2lbs and some! wish i could be more disciplined im so annoyed with myself, but at the time i just think what the hell!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...good luck everyone else for todays weigh in. Are you all still doing ok? x x

FoundWanting · 05/07/2011 12:09

Morning all. Stayed the same here. Sad

I sort of expected it because I have been good for only half the week. I am just so tired. Only getting about 5 hours sleep at the moment and don't know why. The tiredness makes me crave all the wrong things.

So, starting today I am going to drink more water; get out in the fresh air more and make myself have a calming bedtime routine. Might even get myself some chamomile tea.

Good luck to everyone. Hope this is a better week.

travellingwilbury · 05/07/2011 14:02

lydia That sounds like a fab weekend rather than an awful one but I know what you mean . Mine was much the same .

tibni I hope you can get rid of that cold soon , mine was a week ago and it was grim .

FW I am telling myself that at least I haven't put any on which I have been doing steadily now for quite some time .

Onwards and upwards everyone .

I have just done 45mins on zumba wii . Very hot and sweaty so it must be doing some good .

Heres to a better week for everyone Grin

Really need a kick up the bum, so I'm going to get DH to sit down with me tonight and book our holiday. Hopefully a deadline will give me a bit of motivation.

messybessie · 05/07/2011 21:47

Sorry for the radio silence - I had a very full on weekend which did nothing at all for my eating. I decided not to weigh myself yesterday and am going to do it tomorrow instead as I've had 2 days to bring it back.

DH came home with fish and chips on Friday night, although I did take all the batter off the fish and only eat half the chips which I guess is an improvement. Plus one glass of wine not the bottle.

Saturday was evening picnic and, whilst I tried to be healthy and (again) no wine, I was well over my point with bread and chicken drumsticks.

Sunday we had lunch at a friends and then left over picnic so was utter disaster.

Well done on all the weightloss though. A pound is still a pound Wink

Have to break out the 30 day shred tomorrow as it's exactly 30 days to my holiday!

FoundWanting · 06/07/2011 09:34

Morning all. Hope you're all feeling positive today. I managed to get a bit more sleep last night, so resisting the lure of the bread-bin.

Good luck with your weigh-in today, bessie

messybessie · 06/07/2011 11:38

Well I lost a pound. But it's still a loss and that makes 4lbs overall.

Would really like to lose more than 2lb this week as that will put me under 13 stone. Grin

I'm definitely feeling a change in my eating habits. I don't feel the need to snack nearly as much and being happy with smaller portions.

I bought a swimming costume today which was NOT flattering so that gave me a further kick up the arse.

travellingwilbury · 06/07/2011 11:42

Well done messy , like you say , a pound is still a pound Wink Grin

I have just seen a photo of myself that was taken on sunday , if ever I needed a kick up the bum then that was it .

More dancing around like a loon today then .

Have you broken the seal on that shred dvd yet ?

OP posts:
tinker316 · 06/07/2011 14:11

Hey girls!!
Been a while since I last left a post Blush
But I am doing quite well Wink
Went on level 2 of the shred last Friday- which nearly killed me Grin
I've been 4 a run this week & shredded twice- but think I will do level 1 2night as my thighs are on fire Sad
Also lost 1.5kg Grin def think my fitness pal app has helped towards that.
I'm feeling more happier & I'm not craving junk as much as I was. Eating more healthier, but letting the odd treat in now & again Wink
Hope every1else is doing well Smile

messybessie · 06/07/2011 15:44

Tinker that is fab! Definitely I think it's the exercise that makes the difference.

That's my goal for the week. I'm not at work tomorrow so might put DS2 in the bike seat and go out if the rain holds off.

Yet to break the shred seal. Do you need to wear trainers. I've lost one of mine and, given they're 8 years old should probably buy some more anyway.

travellingwilbury · 06/07/2011 18:54

Well done tinker , that is fab Grin

It really is the exercise that makes all difference isn't it ? I am not doing anything so impressive but I am sticking to my wii zumba and ,managing to do some every day . So hopefully next week if I keep away from the wine I will see a good loss .

OP posts:
travellingwilbury · 07/07/2011 08:04

Morning all , I have got a quiet day at work today so my plan is to do more exercise and clean my pit of a house .

Wish me luck .

Anybody need a kick ? Wink

OP posts:
tibni · 07/07/2011 08:41

Can you make that a gentle kick travellingwilbury?

Really need to up my game. Cold has virtually gone so I went to the gym yesterday for a reasonable session - didnt run but did 7km crosstrain and 2000m row plus a bit on the bike and I am going again this morning before work.

I am ashamed of my food over the past couple of days and need to refocus. I have been comfort eating - a young lad in dh extended family was found dead Monday, he had commited suicide. Without too many details, many years ago dh and I had talked about taking the boys on (his brother also) but a closer family member stepped in and they moved away.

Anyway, this morning I have resisted the thick, white, buttered toast and had a couple of weetabix and am off to the gym. Will have a healthy late lunch before work. I have very kindly shared my cold with dh who is comfort eating vast quantities of chocolate!

Have a good day

FoundWanting · 07/07/2011 09:29

tibni I'm sorry for your loss. ((Hugs)) for you and your DH. Suicide is such a hard thing to deal with and all the 'what ifs...?'

Enjoy your gym session.

tinker316 · 07/07/2011 10:00

Morning!!
Done a shred session last night- I'm really enjoying it now Smile
My clothes don't feel as tight as they were, which is a bonus Wink
I'm now 62kg- with losing bit of weight, has made me more determined 2 carry on!!
Even though I may slip up at the weekend-going out with friends as it's my bday on Monday Smile

tinker316 · 07/07/2011 10:24

Weight 2day- 62kg
Loss of 2kg in 2 weeks Grin

travellingwilbury · 07/07/2011 11:06

tibni I am so sorry , that is awful .Suicide brings its own added slant to grieving . Be gentle with yourself .
No kick from me gentle or otherwise , it sounds like you are doing really well , and yay for avoiding the white toast .

tinker A kilo a week is brilliant , well done you ,

Gone up a step in my zumba , I have changed it from beginner to medium Grin

I know I am about to add to Foundwantings list but I am enjoying it .

I never thought I would say that about any sort of exercise apart from hill walking .
