I can no longer kid myself that I am just curvy and happy about it .

I am happy at a small size 14 and I am now a large size 16 .

Does anybody want to join me in some mutual arse kicking to keep on track ?

My plan is to just eat less and move more .

I have tried low carbing in the past and it did work but I just couldn't keep it up for long .

I have also done ww before which did work longer term but I can't get to my local meetings anymore .

Please feel free to join in and tell me to stop eating rubbish and being a lazy sod .

Another half hour done on wii fit Grin Going to do the zumba thing later , with all curtains closed and door locked .

It sounds like everyone is doing really well .

tibna where abouts are you ? I always think the west country or the Lakes is a good place to go and chill out for a few days if you want to stay in this country .

I have got a question about exercise in the morning . Is it better to have breakfast before or after ? I had a coffee this morning before the school run but I normally eat when I get back if I am not at work . But today I did the exercise first so it was done and dusted before I got too comfy .

I am going to weigh in tomorrow as that will be a week for me . Fingers and toes crossed , also because monday is my day off , I know what I am like and if I weigh in on a monday it will be an excuse to cheat afterwards as I have a whole week to get it back on track and I need to keep this up .

hi, has everyone had a good weekend? They're definately my down fall diet wise. Was naughty and had curry on saturday and a rather large ice cream at a family funday yesterday but have stuck to it for the rest of it. Have done lots of walking too! DH is back at work tonight so going to get zumba out!

tibni my friend always goes to norfolk, or york is nice?! OOh and matlock bath i love it there! We are having a weekend away for my birthday at end of july, cannot wait! We got married 4 weeks ago so its knid of our honeymoon!

travelling i think its best to exercise after breakfast, you may find you'll have more energy to burn more calories if you've had something to eat?!

im doing weigh in on wednesday as i didnt start properly til then! Am also going to set myself 7lb targets rather than a hefty 2 stone one! so my first target is to have lost 7lb by my sisters wedding on aug 5th!

tibni · 27/06/2011 12:59

It is a big birthday so I was thinking Spain or Portugal or possibly the South of France. Lydia, we go to Norfolk every year as our family holiday, ds with severe ASD / Learning Disability loves it there.

Well I have done the gym and am really pleased. I am under the 11 stone mark, I lost 2kg and am now 10 10.

Having 3 jobs works for me. I have a main contracted job and 2 regular casual contracts. Working a "normal" job with ds's needs wouldn't work. Downside is unusual hours but it means dh and I can juggle childcare and I do love my work.

travellingwilbury - If I am going to do a big session at the gym I always make sure I have had my breakfast first, but try and give myself a reasonable time before my session. I work on the theory that I need the fuel. If I am doing shred or something that is short and wanted to do it early then I would eat after.

travellingwilbury · 27/06/2011 14:44

tibni What about Seville ? We went for the day once , drove from Portugal , and I loved it . Have promised ourselves we will go back for longer some day .

Thanks, will look into it. Since ds was born we have only managed as far as France and gave up on that a few years ago as he gets so travel sick but can not tell us if he is feeling bad. He is maturing so we may try taking him on an plane in a year or two. Not sure what worries me more - his sensory dysfunction which might mean air pressure could cause real pain or possible delays and trying to keep him calm! I believe you can get "taster" sessions at airports - just go up in the air for a trial.

travellingwilbury · 27/06/2011 15:46

Sounds like a good idea to have a trial run with him first . I would guess just the airport in itself would be a bit of a sensory overload for him .

I too had a big birthday this year , scary stuff .

Manchester airport have a good social story booklet to share. It is such a balance - part of me thinks is it worth the hassle to go abroad but I dont want him or his sister missing out because I am too frightened to try. ds is on controlled meds and I would have to find out how that would work.

I had a real urge to pig out this afternoon, not sure why. But, being on this thread made me stop and I just went and sorted upstairs out - stepping away from the fridge!

travellingwilbury · 27/06/2011 16:23

Well done you ! It is really helping me to keep on track of things too .

Have you tried him on a ferry before ? Or is that sickness central too ?
It has got be worth at least giving it a go , if it doesn't work as well as you would all like then at least you know .

tibni · 27/06/2011 16:48

Ferry - oh yes! Fast hover thingie, slow overnight with cabin and every other option. Next time will be tunnel.

travellingwilbury · 27/06/2011 17:26

You need a star trek transporter thingy . We go to France every year and I fantasise about having one of those . And both my boys are NT .

Travelling and children don't really mix well at the best of times .

Morning all, I've just weighed in and I've lost 4 pounds! Feel very pleased with myself.
Just wish this heat would sod off and then I would feel more energetic. Missed walking yesterday because dd fell and hurt her leg so in the end I drove to school via the shop. Not quite what I intended but that's life with small children.

travellingwilbury · 28/06/2011 07:01

Well done whyme Grin

This is just the beginning , I think the exercise this week has really helped keep me motivated so fingers crossed I can keep it up .

Wow! Well done you two. That is fantastic. Grin

I will weigh when I have found some batteries for the wii. They were there last week but apparently nobody has seen them. Hmm

whyme2 · 28/06/2011 09:25

foundwanting the batteries will have been put to good use in another machine. 'Tis like that here!
Well done everyone.

FoundWanting · 28/06/2011 09:36

Yep, it seems that Buzz Lightyear's need was greater than mine. Grin

I have lost 2 lbs! I am not overweight! BMI is now 24.87

I'm really pleased as I haven't found it very easy this week. Hopefully this will spur me on for the next 7 days. If only this weather would break. Very, very sweaty here.

travellingwilbury · 28/06/2011 11:56

Well done FW

Do you now have a normal wii mii ? Instead of the fatty one I have ?
I will be delighted when that happens to me .

OP posts:
FoundWanting · 28/06/2011 12:37

She is not quite so pudgy. Grin And the music is a bit chirpier.

I must stick at this though because I'm only 1/4lb under my maximum healthy weight. Absolutely no leeway there.

messybessie · 28/06/2011 12:41

Good work everyone. I have lost 3lb this week and am now 13s 3lb Grin.

Yesterday I was out of the day, had my usual porridge, Pizza Express salad with no dressing for lunch and then went to see Take That! Dinner consisted of 1 x lager, 1 x Pimms, 1 x slice of cake, some pretzels and some Dairy Milk!

Today is another day Grin

travellingwilbury · 28/06/2011 12:48

Well done messy That is brilliant, especially after a night like that . Bet it was good fun Grin

tibni · 28/06/2011 14:53

Well done everyone. I had a 4lb loss this week too but expect next week to be much harder.

I was at work first thing and expected just to be doing a few hours so had planned to go to the gym this afternoon. I have just got in from work and am at my main job in a couple of hours so no gym today Sad. It is ds sports day tomorrow and it is an all day affair and then I am working again Wednesday evening so I will really have to train hard Thursday to make up.

I also have a food confession. It is my managers birthday and she bought cake in - and it would have been rude to refuse! Saying that I have not had chance to have lunch yet and am working till 8pm so need to be careful with my food choices now - old me would have stuck bread in toaster and ate a block of cheese with it!

lydiathetattooedlady · 28/06/2011 15:53

WOW big well done on all the weightlosses, weigh in day for me tomorrow, also have confession of eating a rather large amount of pic n mix today Sad hoping it wont affect the scales too much tomorrow!
Im really glad i joined this thread you 're all really spurring me on to continue!

Bright lights, big city is the last thing we want. Life is so busy I want to be able to switch off and not have to think of anything. Do you have a link for your sisters b&b and is she still open at the end of September?

Off out to work now - will check back later

travellingwilbury · 28/06/2011 17:09

Good luck for tomorrow Lydia

I have been snacking more than I should today , but still nowhere near what I was doing before I started doing this .

No exercise yet today , I am going to try and do the wii for half hour when boys eat tea .

Back to it tomorrow .
