You lot! Over 'ere! Sorry for taking liberties with the previous thread: I am no good with suspense, and it was like looking at a gigantic throbbing pustulating boil and not being able to squeeze it

OP posts:
grinningbee · 22/06/2011 19:32

Thank you I really hope you're not all fed up of me. Thanks for the mouldy fruit. I remember the days of going to the classes and going home with it. Yummy. Not!

I will have bad weeks, but I'm only 3 weeks in and haven't got bored yet, plus I have a lot to lose. Please don't think I'm smug. And I think this time is different, as I REALLY have to do it this time.

Homemade homegrown strawberry jam sounds delish - and is just crying out for a scone to go with it!!

Grin
UrsulaBuffay · 22/06/2011 19:35

sorry..I STfuckingS, blame Ikea and the obligatory hotdog & ice cream that was necessary to take the edge off the rage. So only 3.5lb in 3 weeks. Getting annoyed with myself now!

Well done losers

:)

kid · 22/06/2011 20:57

Arghh, i posted a message twice and its vanished!
oh well, I was only moaning about my horrible hard aerobics class that I have just finished and also about my not so tasty dinner (salad, pasta, crabsticks, cucumber and thousand island dressing)

I wanted a curly wurly but realistically, I know I'm close to 15 syns so don't want to push it!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/06/2011 22:15

Oh how I could eat Strawberry jam. scones with a bit of devonshire clotted cream. Well done only sounds delish.

I thought I was doing everything right but then I had a good long think. I had a chinese Friday night, wine over the weekend and I ate out a couple of times when I had grilled ham with eggs but some potatoes that were lightly fried. So that probably explains the 1lb gain. Sigh. Although I have been dieting for 8 weeks...1lb a week, not horrendous! Esp bearing in mind I started with an 8 week old so dieting was tricky. (excuses...)

Right another week starts now......Got a tricky weekend ahead with in laws visiting and friends over sat night so will have a couple of glasses of wine. GOing to try and do 2 extra gym seshs to make up for it!

mandalee claridges hey? Get yooou! Wish I was your friend. Envy
hedgepig come join me in the naughty corner

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/06/2011 22:16

Oh and I made the ham and artichoke taglietelle. An excellent quick easy dinner!

Hedgepig · 22/06/2011 22:29

Ta cheese its quite nice in this corner grin Ooo I could scoff a score too. I have a bad weekend too, its my birthday on Friday and DH is taking me out and then I'm off to London for a meet up with some other MNetters.
but after that I'm back to writing down everything that passes my lips for a week or so to get back in track.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 23/06/2011 08:08

Morning all from the naughty corner

Good day planned today
Exercise: legs, bums and tums & 1 hour walk
B: porridge made from 1/2skim milk and 1/2 water (evviilll)
L: salad or JP up the gym
D: Lamb Rogan Josh with boiled rice

Just looked at DD and noted she ip popping out of her 0-3babygro's. Makes me sad, but then she is 16weeks old so what do I expect! Best go shopping, George here I come!
you meeting with your antenatal group? Very lovely, have fun! Have a good birthday tomorrow.

grinningbee · 23/06/2011 09:46

Am I allowed in?

I hate it when the dc grow out of their clothes. It makes me really sad, and I have massive clear out to do as there are now piles all over the place Sad. I love George clothes for them - especially the £1.75 jeans! The abuse they get, I don't mind when the knees wear through.

Ds decided to wake up at 4.15 this morning. Got him back to sleep after an hour or so, and then dh woke me up 3 times!

Todays food will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Toast and fruit
Leftover sweet chilli chicken with veg
Fruit for snacks

Hope you have a very happy birthday Hedgepig and a fab time in London!

I was contemplating taking dd and ds to the dreaded soft play today. However, she gets in such a major strop when it comes to leaving that I may not be able to tackle her on my own whilst also having ds. We're talking major tantrum which requires being carried over ones shoulder! I suppose I could always do some lovely cleaning instead... not to mention tackle the enormous pile of washing up.

Joy joy!

Hedgepig · 23/06/2011 10:13

::digs Cheese in the ribs and blows raspberries at Bee::

I too have been looking back over the last weeks food intake and there was take away, wine, friends for lunch, away with work so meal out it was never going to be a top weight loss week. Anyway exercise class tonight If I can find the energy, DS2 was in our bed from early on pulling my hair in his sleep!! in the end I pulled his mattress off his cot bed and slept on it myself so it wasn't one of our better nights.

The meet up is for what was the 40+ pregnancy thread that has morphed into 40 Towers so there will be much chattering and cake eating going on.

Bee I'm now using the clothes from DS1 I put up the loft 5 yrs ago for DS2, it is nice to see the old ones again but they are going straight out of the door once DS2 is out of them.

food today

B Shredded wheat and fruit ryvita with a tsp jam
L baked potato and beans
D Fish pie of some sort or maybe pasta - we will not end up with fish and chips like last week!

Hedgepig · 23/06/2011 11:09

only forgot to.say on that pedometer map thing I think if you set the activity to walk or run you can make it go down foot paths , but you may have to follow it manually rather than clicking to it. I think the cycle option only follows roads

Onlyaphase · 23/06/2011 16:24

Oh Hedgepig that sounds fabulous, I'll try that out on the map thing later. It'll have to stop bucketing down first before I go outside again though - I've just managed a walk with DD and one dog inbetween the showers, and it is raining again now. Good for the garden I suppose.

Funny you're all mentioning old baby clothes - I've just finished clearing the attic of DD's old stuff as we aren't going to have another Sad. I've got a pile of mini boden for Ebay, a pile for the charity shop, a pile for the clothes bank, a small box of things to keep and a mountain of babygros to use for my ragrugging. I'm going to do a wall mounted ragrug of DD's name which will be in shades of pink and white, and you wouldn't believe how much material this will use up. No one really wants second hand babygros so I'd rather use them for something crafty if I can. [old gimmer emoticon]

Cheese it does sound as though you are doing everything right, but maybe a leetle too many extras creeping in?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 23/06/2011 17:47

well I weighed myself at the gym and I had lost 2lbs, bizarre. waiting for my new scales to arrive!
Change of plan for dinner tonight, got some nice salmon fillets from the fishmonges ro will have that with roast veg.

legs bums and tums will horrendous so thats good then! Def burnt a fair few calories!
Didnt make it to George as had a natter in a coffee shop instead - better than fighting it out in asda with the riffraff of west london

Liking the ragrug only very creative!
did you soft play bee
hedge get yerself to the exercise class..you know you wanna..and I don't want to be seeing you in the naughty corner with me next week!

mandalee · 23/06/2011 20:07

Must report back on lunch, Gordon's doing a few things right despite being a foulmouthed git. It was luuuuuverly. And I'm feeling so refreshed by having had a REAL ACTUAL day out with STIMULATING ADULT COMPANY that I've decided it was well worth the calories.

Though I probably shouldn't have had that second liqueur truffle. Blush

Back on the wagon, rump steak and roast veggies for dinner, which was yum.

Good onya for the 2lb loss, cheese! Knew your scales must have been blotto! Wink

Cheeseandbiscuits · 23/06/2011 22:15

Glad you had a wonderful time

dd hs horrid diarhoea which I've just finished cleaning up. Pizza ordered. Urgh

mandalee · 23/06/2011 22:25

Oh dear - I remember those days! No. Fun. At. All. Sad Hope she feels better soon!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 23/06/2011 22:41

Bless her, it's her 4month birthday too!
So what exactly did you eat mandalee?

kid · 23/06/2011 23:48

I keep posting messages from my phone but they won't post. I've decided to use the iPhone app instead, let's see if that's any better.

I went bootcamp tonight but am kind of regretting it at the moment. After aerobics last night, behind my knee was a bit tight and uncomfortable. Well after bootcamp tonight it's much tighter and I can't walk properly. I've taken some anti inflammatory tablets tonight and am hoping it's ok tomorrow. I don't want to be injured and unable to go gym. My next class is Saturday so hopefully I'll be ok by then.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/06/2011 08:51

Hello hello

after yesterdays pizza disaster, I'm back on track today so it looks something like
b: scrambled egg on hobbit toast (heb)
l: cous cous salad
d: sweet chilli chicken with new pots and roast veg
exercise: 1hour walk

kid plenty of ibuprofen and it should settle (400mg three times day), hope it's not too bad!

Onlyaphase · 24/06/2011 09:49

kid hope your knee is better today - its horrible when you are in a good place exercise-wise yet something crops up to stop it. Boo

Mandalee your lunch with Adult Company sounds like it was fun. I so get what you mean about being out with adults and being able to eat at your own pace.

Cheese was the pizza worth it? Glad you're back on track today

It is sunny here today, a miracle! I have done the preschool drop off, been to the vet, the post office and am now contemplating what to do with the next 2 hours or Free Time. DD and I are out for lunch today at a friend's house and she makes cakes professionally. I am doomed! It is so difficult to say no thanks when someone has made the cakes and scones etc especially for you....

grinningbee · 24/06/2011 10:54

Kid hope the knee is easier today
Cheese poor dd is having a rough time at the moment - happy 4 monthiday Smile
Mandalee I am soooo envious of an adult day out. It sounds so lovely! I can't actually remember the last time I had one...
Only Oooooh, professional cakes. That sounds very very naughty!

Well. I have stuck rigidly to the plan, nothing different to the first 3 weeks and nothing is happening. Normally by this point in the week I have lost a bit more (it's almost the halfway point for me as Dod is a Tuesday) and I'm getting a bit worried.

To add to the woe, dh has decided we are all going out for tea later to a pub that is just changing hands and is only serving a limited menu. Pizza. Great. I have warned him that I will not be eating much (if anything!) and not to get funny over it.

Oh, and we are picnicking tomorrow somewhere, but at least I can take my trusty cheese triangle sarnie and fruit while they have cheesy topped rolls, sausage rolls and crisps, not to mention the cakes and flapjacks. Envy

Sometimes dieting sucks!

grinningbee · 24/06/2011 10:56

Oh, almost forgot. Todays food:

Weetabix
Banana
Toast with cheese triangles and an apple
Lord knows. If they have salad, that's what I'll be eating (sans dressing or anything)

How exciting!

Off to check the SW website for just how evil a slice of pizza is...

mandalee · 24/06/2011 13:27

cheese - you sure you want to know? I thought I should probly pipe down about my fancy lunch date after I heard about your diarrhoea/pizza combo... Blush

Since you asked, though - Grin I had an heirloom tomato salad with some yummy pesto and fresh mozzarella, followed by roast chicken on a sweetcorn puree with some little mushrooms and onions, with a strawberry parfait thingy for dessert. All very yum... and hopefully not too awfully terrible diet-wise (though as someone who has cooked in a high-end commercial establishment, I know I'm kidding myself there! There's a REASON fancy food tastes so damn good! Well, two, actually: FAT and SALT. Shock)

bee - if you can, get them to make you a salad with some grilled chicken on it or something to fill you up! Woman cannot live on leaves alone (well, no one I know anyway...)

And what do you mean, SOMETIMES dieting sucks???

kid · 24/06/2011 14:44

I don't consider sw as a diet, well not the way u'n following it at the moment with us 1/2 on and 1/2 off plan.

Knee is no better at all today. It's worse if i've been sitting down. After walking for a bit it gets easier but the muscle is still very tight. I really want to go aerobics tomorrow but I'm not convinced I'll be able to do much.
I took 1 ibuprofen last night but that was the last time I took anything. Better take one now and another after dinner. I've been doing lots of exercises, I do all the stretches they tell me to do so how have I managed to injure myself? Sad

It's my wedding anniversary today so we are going out fir dinner at a mediterranean restaurant. I love their iskender, but as it's served in yogurt I'll opt for something grilled instead and no dessert. I've got no work till Tuesday and a quiet day at school with no kids on Thursday too. 3 day week sounds very good to me Grin

kid · 24/06/2011 22:05

Oops, did I say I wouldn't have dessert? Oh well Blush

mandalee · 24/06/2011 23:18

LOL - here's to dessert on your anniversary!

Oh, and you should take the ibuprofen religiously for a couple days if you want it to help calm things down - like 500mg (I think? Anyone know?) at a go for a day or two. It's an anti-inflammatory, but you have to take it for a few doses to get that effect.

Hope you feel better tomorrow!
