You lot! Over 'ere! Sorry for taking liberties with the previous thread: I am no good with suspense, and it was like looking at a gigantic throbbing pustulating boil and not being able to squeeze it

Help, I'm struggling!
I still haven't been shopping (must have saved a fortune lol) but now I am getting bored of the same old boring food.

I've got shopping being delivered on Wednesday so just one day to get through until then. Breakfast is sorted, weetabix as usual which is fine.
For lunch, I'm having pasta with tuna, cucumber and sweetcorn.
I always struggle on dinner though. I think I've got some lean mince in the freezer which could work. Hmm, what shall I do with it? Have run out of peppers, onions and mushrooms. Don't want to buy them tomorrow as I've got some coming the following day.

I was so hungry after dinner tonight (rice and veg curry) so I had 2 muller lights. I don't even have any fruit left, how bad is that!

I am expecting a gain this week, I know I said that the other week too and I didn't gain, but I don't think I'll be that lucky again this week.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 20/06/2011 21:30

kid meatballs or burgers?

Its good, I'm off to calculate my metabolic rate...

kid · 20/06/2011 21:34

meatballs, great idea. I've got couscous and I'll pick up a bag of salad on my way home.

How do you calculate your metabolic rate cheese?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 20/06/2011 21:40

Its on the channel 4 embarressing bodies website. I couldnt be arsed as you needed a tape measure etc and I can't be bothered to move....Could be the problem! Managed to drop my BMI to 31.positive step i guess!

duckymum · 20/06/2011 22:21

Trouble is my bf hunger is all in the direction of cake & biscuits - and so I managed to gain 10lb in the first 6 months! He should be cutting back now he is getting older, but unlike his mother, he seems not that bothered by food.

I'm not doing proper SW - just learning from you lovely lot while I catch up on thread - but I think my proper yogurt and big slices of toast rather than teeny-tiny Pontipine slices would probably make up the extras.

Just saw some of the embarrrassing bodies (until DH came home and queried why I was watching..). I always find it difficult that one of the answers is to cook proper meals from scratch - that is mostly what I have been doing for years, just supplementing with a pile of junk

Morning. Trying to get ds to settle Sad. Been up since 2! Hope the scales are nice to me later...

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 08:06

Good morning again!

Finally got ds to drop off sometime after 4am. I feel fab today Grin

Todays food will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Toast with cheese triangles and an apple, maybe a yogurt too
The leftovers of the Shepherds Lentil Pie
Grapes for snacks

Back later on when I've had a cuppa!

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 08:07

P.S Loving the "pontipine slices" phrase GrinGrin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 08:16

Ha..we call it hobbit bread here!

Sorry you had a horrid night bee..can you nap today? Just think of al the calories you have burnt by being up all night

I weighed myself this morning and it looks like a gain. I don't get it..might either join a SW club or buy some new scales as DH says they are weighing him wrong too

DD still really snotty but I'm getting out the house today (is there a stircrazy emoticon)
Exercise: 1 hour walk
B: Branflakes, ff nat yog and strawbs
L: JP and baked beans courtousy of M&S
D: Ham and artichoke pasta
Snacks: fruit, ML yoggie

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 08:24

I understand the stircraziness - I have no car today as dh has got it, and the double pram is in the back of it. Hurrah!

Nap... what is one of those? Sadly with dd who is on the go all day, plus the little man, chances of a nap are zero.

Re the scales - do they need a new battery, and have you moved them to different bits of the floor to see if it makes a difference?

Better go, his lordship is yelling from his cot. Dd has just said to me "come on, let's go mummy!"

Yes boss!! Grin

plebshire · 21/06/2011 08:24

Urk, first day of doom today... had a baaaaad weekend food-wise and it seems so hard to get back on it after a carb-and-chocolate-spree.

cheese - my scales are crazy too, they can add half a stone on within half an hour. now I like my food but that's too much even for me. what surface are they on? parrently the don't like carpet.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 08:39

They are on laminate flooring in the bathroom. I know I am constipated, but come one! There is no way I have gained 2 lbs in 3 days.....unless all I need is a humungus poo!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 08:41

Oh, and bee, your little girl sounds so cute!

duckymum · 21/06/2011 08:57

plebshire know what you mean about getting back with it..

PLan for day
B - toast, fruit
L - cheese, tomato, cucumber, apple, probably an oatcake or two
D - ham, eggs, asparagus, couple of new potatoes, strawberries & yogurt after

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 12:33

Thank you Cheese

Where are you all today?

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 14:21

Yooooohooooooo!!

Oh well.

I need to sit and plan the next week of food. Big food shop to be done tomorrow. I also like to try and plan it so that what I cook will do 2 days as it makes life a bit easier in the evening I'm just reheating.

So... maybe a quorn bolognese or veggie lasagne, my favourite sweet chilli chicken, sausages bacon and egg, and meatballs... hmm not sure! Need the next magazine soon for more inspiration. Maybe have a hunt through the old ones too.

Hope you're all having a good afternoon Smile

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 16:05

We've been shopping!
Agree with the meal planning, I do that too. Can recommend the singapore vermicilli. I'm changing my mind and doing the prawn pepper pots tonight, as forgot to get ff fromage frais for ham and artichoke pasta!

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 16:11

Hope you had a nice time. No more stircraziness for you Grin

Sadly dh is allergic to fish (and mushrooms) so nothing nice and prawny etc for me.

I've decided on pork meatballs, quorn bolognese, sweet chilli chicken, and a sausage and bacon fryup for the coming week. I may even sneak a bottle of wine in for a week on Friday if I feel I've earned it! (Obviously I shall have to share with dh). However, I am still on a mission Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 16:44

I had a cookie with my coffee earlier. Iam so fed up today, bored and lonely, i think! Missing my mates, who are all away this week..though my bessie mate is back 2mw, phew!
I also had a massive paddy as I am between sizes so everything looks awful on me! On the plus, i bought a size 14 t shirt that loks ok.

Skip out the prawns and do extra pork? Im having a gin tonight..DoD or no DoD!

plebshire · 21/06/2011 18:29

Ooh I love perving on other people's meal plans. Especially keen on the sound of sweet chilli chicken and singapore vermicilli

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 18:33

Want the recipe pervshire plebshire?

plebshire · 21/06/2011 18:38

Grin at pervshire, I should namechange!

That would be amazing, my recipes are looking a little tired...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/06/2011 19:16

I prefer it to plebshire..highly entertaining! Do you live in plebshire? Are u a pleb? Just wondering...

plebshire · 21/06/2011 19:38

My days they look amazing - thankyou! Will be trotting those out later this week.

I've always been on the edge of Plebshire but have moved into the heart of the county in the last year. Hopefully will be moving on out soon - DP has had some promising job interviews and I'll be graduating by the end of the year Smile hopefully to surroundings more conducive to perving.

grinningbee · 21/06/2011 21:04

Another vote for changing your name to Pervshire. It's a good name Grin Sorry you've had a down day Cheese. If I'm honest, I don't really know what the heck size I am anymore. I've definitely gone down one, as the jeans I was wearing when I started this were positively indecent and very fall-downy. I just don't know what is a normal fit as I've worn loose baggy things for so long...

I measured myself again, and have lost roughly 3 inches from my bust, 2.5 from my waist and 3 from the hips! Still a very very long way to go though.
