So... I know there are millions of threads about Jillian Michaels, but I have just done my second day of it and I am quite impressed with myself! Yesterday I managed to do to the end of the second circuit and today I did all three. I have just had to lie on the floor for a while in recovery though... does that I mean I am doing it right? :)

How long will I have to wait to see results though? I am quite impatient!

The plan is to start from level 2, but I will see how I go, I may well drop down to level one for a dew days first. I'm going to do pilates as well, I have one of those ten minute session ones, and give the dog a 'proper' walk too! I used to like running, so I will work up to that with her.

I have a colour coded time table fe my day tomorrow as it is my day off and I'm thinking of doing it on a daily basis - I'm one of those that likes ticking things off lists!

I like the idea of measuring like you have, seeing the change will be a massive motivation.

Whendo you start your second round?

I too am a bad shredder. I didn't even try over half term with two DCs here and we've had workmen in since so... And of course, no weight loss this week.

But I did get back to it today. I too have an 'injury' problem. Wearing strappy sandals has inflamed a patch on my achilles tendon. Shredding - and often walking - hurts it. do I stop until it's all better or carry on?

Oh no! More press ups. I can't do level one press ups. Help!

Madinitials · 08/06/2011 13:02

I was a keen runner too and used to do buggy fit in my local park but can't find the time to run on my own (I get up before the kids to shred) and I don't think I have the strength to jog with them both in the pushchair - they're both pretty big!!

I finish do my last day of L3 this Saturday so I think I'll have two days off then start again, I must be glutton for punishment!!

sasza321 · 08/06/2011 19:56

hello all,

I have to admit I did no shredding at all last week as we were visiting my parents. So no exercise plus too much of mums cooking Blush

Back to Level 2 now. And I really need to stop eating cakes and biscuits Blush

RoyalWelsh · 09/06/2011 14:58

hellooooo everybody :) So this is what I have done today:

I dragged myself and the dog out of the house when I woke up at 5.50 (thanks mr sunrise) and we didn't go very far because I'm sure my eyes were still shut. I was back in bed by half past six, and during that time I had a wee, fed the dog and the cat and walked the dog as well, so probably only a fifteen minute walk, but it's got to be better than nothing!

I made shortbread and a sponge cake for work, including icing that I have never made before. I also started off the bara brith.

I had melon for breakfast and may have licked the cake mixing spoon and tested both the shortbread and cake

Contemplated mowing the lawn because quite frankly, it is an embarrassment, but will do it tomorrow after DP has de-spidered the mower.

Done a wash, hung it out, put another on.

Emptied the dishwasher, put it on again.

UMMMMMMMMM

Oh I am also tidying my bedroom, which doesn't sound big in itself, but if you could see it you would be absolultely horrified...

I also watched two episodes of Buffy, which isn't so impressive, I will admit, but in between I did ten minutes of abs focussed pilates. Flapping like a mermaid.

I haven't shred today, but it is on the list and I will definitely do it. And me and DP are taking the dog to a 'secret' beach after work.

It's been a pretty lovely day so far really! Keep up the good work, shredders!

That's impressive!

I fell off a chair, which according to my physio (for a different problem) means three days with no exercise. It's going to be the 90 shred at this rate!

Madinitials · 11/06/2011 09:34

Well I did it!! Just completed 30 DS in 30 days and it was definitely worth it. I was measuring rather than weighing and I lost 29cms all over, including 10cms off my chest and upper back, and 7cms off my waist. It's well worth it, my thighs are super-toned and I feel great in shorts, and my arms are firm without being Madonna-esque!!

Keep it up fellow shredders - the results are amazing.

sasza321 · 11/06/2011 13:38

Madinitial - wow, very impressive!

to all - what weights do you use? I use 1.5kg but I really struggle with the V-raises in Level 2. so I'm thinking about using 1kg just for this specific exercise to get through it...
Anyway, no weight loss here whatsoever Shock but hubby keeps saying I look much slimmer and I do feel more toned (apart from the wobbly inner thighs Blush )

RoyalWelsh · 11/06/2011 20:27

Wine Wine Wine for you Madinitials!!! What are you going to do now, will you start it again?

My weights are almost non existent I think, but my shoulder often gives me trouble so i don't want to put too much on it.

Latrucha that's rubbish Sad I hope you aren't in too much pain!

Madinitials · 11/06/2011 21:49

Sasza I used 3lb weights and still found the V-raises really hard, all the way through L2. I suppose you're using a muscle that you really exercise in that manner so it's gonna hurt.

Obsession I am going to have two days off and start again from L1 on Tuesday. Going on holiday in 5 weeks and I still want to get rid of the little bit of baby tummy which remains and stay toned. I've started doing hula hoop again to try to work on stomach, it worked when I did it after my first pregnancy. How's it going for you?

littledolly · 12/06/2011 09:53

Hi all. I started the Shred over Easter and was up to about D7L2 and loving it. However for various reasons, mainly laziness, I had stopped all exercise but decided to start again this morning. I thought a day or two of L1 would ease me back in and then I'd go up to L2 again. Oh my God, how wrong was I?? It totally killed me! It was as hard as the first time I ever did it - I can't believe how quickly you loose fitness. On the other hand, it made me realise how much good it did do me last time round so am determined to stick at it.
Have just over 2 stone to loose. Going in hols in 4 weeks and bridesmaid at a wedding in August so just want to get as much off as possible by then.
Some great results here to keep me inspired Smile

RoyalWelsh · 12/06/2011 13:56

Yay! Go littledolly!

This would be great for motivation.

I'm TTC #2 so using that as my motivation to deal with the last stone of baby weight.

L1D1 done yesterday and really feeling it today. My DH is going to take my DS out for a walk this afternoon so will get Day 2 done then.

BartletForAmerica · 12/06/2011 15:41

Okay, L1D2 done!

sasza321 · 13/06/2011 20:23

well done bartlet !

dear me, it was a real effort today - and I was thinking about moving on to level 3.

littledolly · 13/06/2011 22:35

L1D2 done. Did find it easier today but still can't believe how quickly my fitness fell away in just a few weeks. The morning after day 2 was a killer for me last time round, so hoping it's not the same tomorrow........

BartletForAmerica · 13/06/2011 22:41

I did L1D3 straight after getting up while my DH and DS went down for breakfast. Thought it was best to get it over with!

I've got a Pilates class tomorrow night so was going to have a day off Shredding. Do you think that's allowed?

BartletForAmerica · 13/06/2011 22:42

Well done, littledolly. Come on, let's do this together!

sasza321 · 15/06/2011 14:13

bartlet - as long as you do something else instead I think it's fine to skip a day!

Well I attempted Level 3 yesterday.

Oh My Golly Gosh! Was I whining about my inner thighs before?! because I cannot feel them now Shock.

latrucha · 16/06/2011 20:42

I'm struggling on on level one as my achilles tendons are still sore. I've been doing an exercise bike for the cardio bits to try and rest them. I may go for level two next week.

I've just realised my weights are a bit heavier than most people are using (5 kilo). Maybe that's why I find that last arm strength exercise so hard!

Madinitials · 16/06/2011 21:32

5kgs Latrucha?! Maybe that's why I managed to do 30 days on the trot. I'm now too embarassed to say how much my weights were!!

joshandjamie · 16/06/2011 21:50

Just found this thread. I'm on day 11 , no breaks so far. Have been on level 2 for 3 days now and finding it mega hard. My muscles ache less than level 1 but I feel physically sick afterwards - probably the intense cardio. I definitely feel firmer but don't weigh any different and haven't lost and cms yet. Do feel fitter though. And I haven't really altered my diet which might be why

BartletForAmerica · 17/06/2011 09:13

Well done, joshandjamie.

Latrucha, wow! I'm using 0.75kg weights to break myself in gently.

L1D4 happened on Wednesday, then I've ended up with a bad cold, so I'm going to pause until that settles down.

latrucha · 17/06/2011 10:03

I'm a bit shocked too!

I was up with the kids 7 times (teething) in the night so I'm taking a shred break today!

sasza321 · 17/06/2011 13:02

latrucha 5 kgs??!! I don't think i could even lift that above my head! I wanted to get 2 kgs but realised in the shop that those were waay to heavy for me so got 1.5kg. And in Level 2 got 1kgs for the V-raises but otherwise always stick to 1.5s

joshandjamie well done. I am also guilty of not altering my diet Blush
