Hope it's OK that I've started this new thread, but the old one is now full! Not sure if my entry went on the old one, but anyhoo - let's keep going people! Here's to eating tasty healthy food, finding and sticking with exercise we enjoy and getting fitter, stronger & hopefully slimmer! xx

Morning! Wow, JAM, that's a great result! Enjoy your tea party Smile. I've lost 1.5lbs this week which I'm pleased with given my trip to Borough, takeaway and pub lunch last weekend! If I can just lose half a pound next week, I'll be below 10 stone for the first time in years. Good luck to everyone else!

Oops, cross-posted karma! Is that a loss then? Well done if it is Smile!

LadyBuzz · 29/04/2011 11:25

Well done justaminute, knotty & karma on your losses!

I have put 1lb on which is not good but I am secretly relived it was only that, i have been bad this week, so back on it this week i can still make my first stone for the christening if I try!!

fedupofnamechanging · 29/04/2011 13:14

I'm not sure if it's a loss, cos I can't remember what I weighed last week.

Well done knotty on your loss. Great result Smile

Good luck this week LadyBuzz

Guitargirl · 29/04/2011 14:05

Well done everyone on your losses - great stuff!

I have been quite good this week and have lost 4 pounds. I know it's good but I also know that the weight comes off quickly at the beginning...

I do have extra incentive though as DP proposed this week!!!! It was my birthday and was a total surprise! Grin

knottyhair · 29/04/2011 14:07

Wow, Guitargirl!!! Amazing loss and congratulations!!! Smile Smile Smile

Congratulations Guitargirl

justaminute · 29/04/2011 19:08

hic, Well done losers. Knotty - what is your goal weight? You must be close to it so very well done. In my book all pounds are tough to lose but the last few must be even tougher. BIG Congratulations to Guitargirl, I do love a wedding. Have you been getting ideas from today? Maybe a military fly past?
Eaten and drunk far too much today, I'm considering doing the shred but fear I may fall over Smile. Back to the barbed wire Zone for me tomorrow.

LadyBuzz · 29/04/2011 21:20

Aww Congratulations guitargirl [csmile]

knottyhair · 30/04/2011 08:53

Morning! Am a sweaty mess after doing Level 2 Shred - still really really really dislike that level Sad. At least it's out of the way. JAM, I've decided to aim for 9.5 stone. Am 5ft 4" so I think that's OK. I'll still keep tracking my calories though most of the time to help me maintain it I think, and still plan to exercise 3-4 times a week. I'm currently quarter of a pound over 10 so nearly there but the last few pounds are always the hardest! Chicken soup for lunch and a BBQ at friends' house later on so fingers crossed I don't trough down a load of sausages Grin. Have a good day xx

cyb · 30/04/2011 08:59

I've lost 3 lbs in 5 days by just not eating C R A P

Guitargirl · 30/04/2011 10:28

Thanks very much everyone! Smile

Still can't quite believe it!!

Well done on your loss cyb!

duckyfuzz · 30/04/2011 18:32

popping back in, need to shed 10lbs before the summer hols, cutting back on crap and booze, starting Tuesday as I know its easier at work... but have been to gym today

duckyfuzz · 30/04/2011 18:34

oooh missed that, congratulations guitargirl :o

dinkystinky · 30/04/2011 21:19

Congrats losers - and extra congrats to Guitargirl on the engagement! Set a date for the big day yet? That makes 2 brides to be on this thread now... should we all go out and buy fascinators for the big days? Wink

Cyb - good loss my friend. Ducky - lovely to see you back on. If you follow Cyb's example you'll have lost that by Sunday Grin

knottyhair · 01/05/2011 06:02

Cyb, great result! Dinky, I think we should get fascinators, bagsy I get a giant pretzel like Princess Beatrice Wink. Off to Oxford this morning for my early birthday present - a night away sans DS with tickets to see Uncaged Monkeys, very excited! We're stopping off for lunch on the way and will have an early dinner in Jamie's Italian, so it's a good job the hotel has a pool! Also going to do a walk tomorrow morning before we come home - only 4.5 miles but better than nothing and might help walk off some of the hotel breakfast! Have a lovely Sunday and Bank Holiday everyone x

this title is like my mantra

AnyoneForPimms · 01/05/2011 13:18

Hi can I join you please? I need all the support I can get!
I need to lose at least 2 stone and today is the big day of giving up the wine.
It's my birthday at the end of the month and I don't intend to touch a drop until then.
I am also giving up rice, potatoes, bread, pasta, chocolate, biscuits, crisps and all the other bad processed foods.
I am " in the zone" but it's only day 1
I will start shredding on Tuesday when kids are back at school
I already cycle and do 3 zumba classes a week but I am also going to start aqua aerobics again and swimming.
And tips you can give me ??

fedupofnamechanging · 01/05/2011 16:11

Welcome AnyoneForPimms and good luck.
My advice would be not to give up everything you love all at once, but build a little into your daily allowance, so that you don't end up craving and binging on chocolate (or whatever your main 'weakness' is).

Hope you have a great time knotty.

I am struggling a bit today. Am feeling really hungry. Made quorn chilli for dinner, but don't really fancy it now. Just want to eat my body weight in chocolate, but must resist!

AnyoneForPimms · 01/05/2011 18:09

Oh god I know that feeling!!
Had to sit through a meal with family today and resist not only wine but hot buttered jersey royals!!

LadyBuzz · 01/05/2011 21:39

My willpower is wilting very quickly, not had a great weekend food wise, i really need to focus - Please give me a kick!

at the risk of sounding thick - what is shredding and does it work?

My gym buddy is pregnant and really suffering with MS so i'm not going to the gym (I am a huge jessie on my own Grin so i need to do something else to add to my Zumba class.

Welcome anyoneforpimms 3 Zumba classes really??? I need a week to recover from just the 1!

fedupofnamechanging · 01/05/2011 21:51

Shredding is the Jillian Michaels DVD. It has 3 levels, each lasting 20 minutes. You only do 20 minutes but I swear you think you are going to die the first time you do it! She doesn't let you rest at all.

Have had the serious munchies today. Have tried to stick to low(ish)
calorie snacks but fear I have gone over my 1200 calorie allowance.

Going to the cinema tomorrow with the DC. must stay off the pringles and family pack of minstrels.

iluvcake · 01/05/2011 21:51

Ooh congrats guitargirl-wedding fever is in the air!! Any thoughts on a date??

Sorry didn't weigh in Fri. I have stayed the same anyway. Haven't managed any exercise as hip still sore. Dr reckons pulled ligamentsSad. Need to see a chiro/physio.

Went to pizza express tonight with DH and DS. They had pizza and I had a salad with dressing on side. Succumbed to a couple of breadsticks though-bah!

Off to bed in a min to stop myself biffing on anything.

Will post properly when everything back to normal...Can't concentrate when DH and DS around!

AnyoneForPimms · 02/05/2011 08:46

Love my zumba. Sometimes I do 4 classes! Its the only exercise I really enjoy.
Ive started cycling there and back which helps and I will be going bacvk to aqua aerobics this week. Boy that kills!!
Need to go food shopping later. Any tips on what to buy?

fedupofnamechanging · 02/05/2011 11:02

I would try to meal plan before going shopping.

I have been buying eggs, chicken, quorn mince for chillis, lots of veg and salad, fresh pineapples, oranges, fizzy mineral water instead of diet cola and for treats I've bought go ahead apple and sultana bars as there are 150 calories in a pack of 3 so they are 'better' than normal biscuits. I've also bought low fat yoghurts and ryvitas to eat instead of bread.

I think my diet could be better, but I am managing most days to stay just below 1200 calories.
