Not a good day. Started well with all bran but missed lunch due to meeting and now have nephews for weekend 6 and 3 so with DS (15mths) its been chaos here

I know its no excuse. Plus Dh a bit stressed by whole event therefore has bought magnums. Get theee behind me!!!

puff · 20/10/2005 20:20

lol at the 3 magnums melbob .

Maybe have some crudites/low gi snacks in the fridge over the weekend which you can grab amid the chaos! It is tricky when you have visitors.

I've been doing ok, my appetite isn't that good because of a rotten cold, which is cheating really!

Can I join please? Currently 3 months pg and already put on stone and was overweight before so now 13.2 and only 5.5, been stress eating as well as responding to increased appetite. Not trying to loose weight per se just want to get back on the health road and avoid becoming too massive in this pg.
Will get me old GI books out

suzywong · 22/10/2005 06:15

I'm hedging my bets and coming in on this one as well as Beety's lose 10lbs.

Am 11st 7lbs, gotta get to that magic 10st.13lbs

melbob · 22/10/2005 20:03

The more the merrier!

puff · 22/10/2005 20:20

Ooh brill, all are welcome !

I've been doing ok this week, hoping to have lost more than a pound when I weigh in Monday.

How's your weekend going melbob?

OP posts:
melbob · 23/10/2005 19:32

Am in recovery now. DNs were vv good but three boys 6,3 and 1 was hardwork. Took them all to the Zoo yesterday which was great and sis and husband came back today looking wellr ested and not snitching at each other so it was worth it. Ds (the 14 month old) had a whale of a time trotting 'round after the other two.

GI not good so will be delighted if had stayed the same. Focussed for next week

Fingers crossed everyone.

Tumblemum · 23/10/2005 19:33

Been eating lots of roasted veggies which presumably is not too bad. Trying to get some exercise in, fell down a bit at a birthday celebration today but tomorrow is another day. I am already feeling better. Hope you are all doing well.

puff · 24/10/2005 09:28

Ok, weigh in day and I've lost 2 and a half pounds this week - hurrah!

Definitely helps to have a focus as I've been plodding along losing a pound for a few weeks.

you are very inspiring you lot

Could anyone post me a link to a diet sheet? I have the one from the Times from january this year?

Very much obliged

puff · 24/10/2005 10:32

I'll try to find some links and post later suzy - I don't think there are many detailed plans online tbh - The Times one is still the best. Do you have any gi diet books?

OP posts:
suzywong · 24/10/2005 10:48

no I don't, I should get off my arse and get some, but I am in Oz so will have to see what's around

puff · 24/10/2005 17:28

I haven't been able to find any diet sheets online sw, just a few sample recipes here and there.

I'm pretty sure the Rick Gallop books (GI Diet guru) are available in Australia though.

Hi

Well done puff you've put me to shame. I stayed he same which I am relieved about so back on Helen Foster with a vengeance.

SuzyWong the women who wrote one of the GI books I have are all australian. Dr Jennifer sonething. I haev lant book but will find out. If you search on Amazon you would get her name and could probably look on some Australian sites, there might be diet sheets there

puff · 24/10/2005 22:56

melbob - you've done well staying the same with visitors to look after .

OP posts:
melbob · 25/10/2005 19:45

All Bran and banana.

melbob · 25/10/2005 19:46

Oops sorry obviously not cooked. bacon and Egg with granary bread

melbob · 26/10/2005 19:21

Hi

Me again. DH has bought us some multi grain porridge, so as well as oats it has rice, wheat and barley in. Do you know/think that is low GI?

puff · 26/10/2005 21:11

Should be fine melbob - barley is low gi and it doesn't sound like a highly processed kind of porridge - enjoy!

OP posts:
melbob · 27/10/2005 19:39

have to say wouldn't recommend it tastes like horse food. (I imagine) Love normal porridge though

puff · 28/10/2005 22:49

lol melbob!
