Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

hmc loving the 'good strong athletic looking build' Grin.

blondes I most certainly am not aiming to get to the bottom of my healthy BMI! As most of you have said, I would like way toooo skinny! What I meant was, the lowest healthy weight within my BMI is 8st 8lbs. I am 10 stone, so I am roughly in the middle. I am very happy here. 3 more lbs to be comfortably under 10 stone and I will stop and maintain.

androbobb my 'MN stats' weigh in this morning was a 1lb loss. Aunt Flo arrived this morning, so feeling bit bloated, so happy with a loss at all.

WW hope you are enjoying your DH free weekend? Sometimes I think it's nice to have a bit of time on your own, even with the kids. Hope you enjoy your chinese Grin.

Sho Thanks so much for kind comments about me being your inspiration. If I have helped you in anyway to get motivated I am very pleased.

Also, thanks all of you for your kind and supportive comments recently. I often say to DH things along the lines of 'I bet some of the people on MN wonder why I am on the WW thread as I am a size 10 now...', but you have all been nothing but supportive. I am fortunate enough to be at the end of my hard journey, but if I can help motivate any of you or help keep you on track, I would love to do so. I am very passionate about this. I know I am blessed with what my colleagues call 'willpower of steel', and I know I am lucky. I feel soooo much better for this diet, physically and mentally. My confidence has improved. I feel so proud of myself that I have finally achieved more than I ever thought I would, and have been trying to do so for 5 years.

Sorry, bit hormonal. Just back from Toy Story 3, blubbed at that too!!

Had Mcdonalds afterwards, which was OK but made me realise, not all it's cracked up to be afterall. Won't be wasting any more pps on them in future. Would rather have maltesers!!

gibbberish · 22/01/2011 15:11

lucky fantastic post. So glad you are feeling more positive again.

It's mad that some women (it does tend to be women) are negative about other women's weight losses.

I think they make negative comments in a bid to justify why they haven't been able to do the same. It's as if other people's success highlights their own failings and they need to defend themselves.

I added 20pps to my total yest to cover the vodka Blush. Has come out of my weekly total which had been virtually untouched so not feeling too worried. Just don't plan on making a habit of it!

LuckyLight · 22/01/2011 15:11

P.S. I have asked DH to hide the weighing scales in the garage somewhere until next Saturday....was starting to get a bit much!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 15:18

norma i dont do any choc cereals, coco pops is just rank

benbenandme 100g cooked is nothing, i have 60g raw and still think its a small bowl and thats 6pp - so weigh out 30g dry and cook, thats roughly 100g cooked (i think)

hmc only joking :) ,may the best woman win, fair and square etc 'blondes pushs hmc' Grin

sho kwym, my friend did cambridge Hmm when she was a healthy size 12 and now is 6/8 and skin and bone, periods have stopped and all her ribs jut out/face looks like a skeleton, sunk in cheek s etc :( its horrible, but everyone said wow, you look fab, lost so much weight, etc and she preens on it - where as myself and another friend say she looks ill and to stop, but she wont :(

mrs moo fab weight loss, i personally dont see the thrill in creme eggs, sickly things - now malteasers yummy

androbbob wrap sounds yummy

willa yes chow mein 9pp, so i share with dh and make it 5

lucky its good you are on here, you keep us on track and an inspiration - i also agree about maccy d's - not worth the pp

btw a bag of malteasers has 18 balls in it - i counted out 12 for my 3pp and left on the side, came home from the gym and dh had scoffed the other 6 [shock

wizzler · 22/01/2011 15:57

Vnmum are you ok? You posted you were ill a couple of days ago, and haven't heard much from you since ?
Blondes if DH ate my maltesers I would probably hurt him.
Had a strange day yesterday, ate loads of fruit etc, and sensible meals and then had loads of points left, even after a glass of wine. Ended up eating Milka, for fear I would wither away completely in the night. Have to say, didnt even enjoy it, just felt I was cheating!

vnmum · 22/01/2011 16:01

Hi all, I'm back from the toilet bowl, lol

I'm just back to eating normally now and i did have a sneak peak this morning on the scales as DH said i was looking very thin and now had collarbones. My D and V has given me a 4.5lb loss in 2 days. I'm hoping i don't put too much of it back on through the week then it might make up for my scoffing last week.

norma i know what you mean about the McD's. i find that alot of things i used to like just don't taste the same and also don't seem worth the points. which i suppose is a good thing in the long run. I am craving a KFC though, haven't had one for ages.

Welcome to all newbies.

Lucky regarding the comments, it is most likely jealousy or if it is from someone who hasn't seen you in a while, a bit of shock. Just ignore them and think that you are happy, fit and healthy, able to do your physical job well and are a good role model for your children

vnmum · 22/01/2011 16:02

thanks for the concern wizzler

AnyoneForPimms · 22/01/2011 16:12

Hi everyone,
Have just got back from the co-op. Only popped in for milk but they had WW ready meals, with new points on half price so stocked up for first week just while I get the hang of things.
How many points do you normally use for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Also I believe wine is high in points. What do you drink to replace the wine?
Sound like a right old wino!!!!! Lol Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 16:16

pimms i tend to have 5 for breakie and then 12 for both lunch/tea but within that i may include a 1pp yog or crisps 2pp (im on 29)

ww say 8pp for lunch but i havnt managed to find a 8pp lunch yet that keeps me full up

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 16:17

sparkle101 · 22/01/2011 18:10

Well done hmc blondes and loralei*

loralei knees are over-rated anyway!!!

DH has also hidden our scales as I was on and off them a bit too much, have desperately tried to find them but no luck - came across a bar of toblerone I got him to hide but mmy mind was fully focussed on the scales, what has become of me.

TOTM here too so wanting to eat anything and everything but have been strong! Going to "celebrate" with a weight watchers choc bar! I know how to live!

wizzler · 22/01/2011 18:15

Well done HMC,Bondes & Loralei.
Blondes, jump up and down enough and you will earn enough activity points for another 12 maltesers!

LuckyLight · 22/01/2011 18:18

sparkle How funny that you were more bothered about finding the scales than the chocolate!!!! LOL!

gibbberish · 22/01/2011 18:23

Well done you well deserved winners Grin

StarvingMarvin · 22/01/2011 18:25

Evening all,

Lovely to log in and see some fab loses!

I've had a wierd day today, I feel like I have totally over eaten but I am still within my points. I had a chicken royale from burger king for lunch which is a massive 15pp and then had 2 fajitas for dinner, wraps 4 pp each, chicken 4, small bit of cheese and sour cream 4 pp so thats 31pp in total, I'm allowed 36 as am bf but try to keep it to 29 if I can. I thought I would feel like I had treated myself but I just feel bloated!

Lucky Jealousy without a doubt, heck I am jealous!

lol at gibberish with 20pp worth of vodka!
vnmum Welcome back!

LuckyLight · 22/01/2011 19:02

Had a very liberating clear out of wardrobe this afternoon and currently putting clothes that no longer fit on ebay Grin.

Willabywallaby · 22/01/2011 19:07

Well done to the winners!!

StarvingMarvin · 22/01/2011 19:07

lol Lucky, can't wait for the day I can do that! I'm having a bit of a clothes dilemma at the moment, I have only lost 10 lbs so far but my slightly baggy already jeans are now really much too big but with at least another stone to go I don't really want to buy any new ones!

vnmum · 22/01/2011 19:22

Well done hmc, blondes, and loralei

starving I too am wearing jeans that are much too big but i am loathe to buy new ones just yet. I may have to give in though and get some cheap ones from asda or tesco as an interim measure. I must start saving up for my new wardrobe
