Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

This is where not really being keen on alcohol comes in handy Grin Though I do like the very odd Martini and Bud once in a blue moon Wink

hmc · 21/01/2011 20:34

Go for it sweetheart - if its within points, eat it and don't give it a second thought Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/01/2011 20:40

hmc - hoe very dare you AngryGrin i was 1000 :(

gibbberish · 21/01/2011 20:46

Well done hmc on being the ww threadkiller queen Grin Commiserations blondes Wink

Wow lots of newcomers - how lovely!

sweetheart enjoy every mouthful without guilt!

dh is bringing me home a bottle of vodka and I'll be enjoying that without guilt before long!

Got a thumping headache which is a horrible sign is totm is imminent. Hope that doesn't affect my WI on Tuesday.

LuckyLight · 21/01/2011 21:05

sweetheart you enjoy it love if you are within points! I'm having McD's tomorrow within points.

I have mixed feelings today tbh with you all. I was at work all day and saw two colleagues who hadn't seen me for months who both did a double take and commented straight away on significant weight loss. Some people have started saying things like 'are you losing more weight Lucky?', as if I should have stopped by now. I'm nearly where I wanna be!

Then, DH went to see his Mum today, who told him that she thought I looked 'too thin' at Christmas. I am pretty sure it's just jealousy as she is very overweight and has no willpower, and has started SW several times and lasted about 4 weeks then gone back to eating nothing but cakes.

I just feel a bit miserable that after all my hard work, people are now making me feel that i have gone too far etc etc.

I am still 1.5 stone over the minimum healthy range for my BMI, i.e. that's 8st 8lbs, and I am 10st. I am a size 10, not a size 8, or 6, or 4 or bloody zero......Angry.

Sorry for rant, just pissed of cos I was feeling really positive all week and now I'm feeling almost bloody guilty.

Welcome to all the newbies on the thread. I am not usually this miserable!!

DuplicitousBitch · 21/01/2011 21:22

luckylight - people are weird. you looked fabulous in the picture your posted. my sister used to get this alot. ignore.

androbbob · 21/01/2011 21:27

Well lucky I think you look great on your profile photo and I do think it is pure jealousy. You have put a lot of hard work to get to where you are and you deserve a big pat on the back. You also have to maintain it which is probably as hard as losing it. They are probably secretly hoping that you will put it all back on and be like them again. I suspect they think you have changed inside as well as physically - but ignore them the best you can. A size 10 is a lovely healthy weight and if you are at the top end of a healthy BMI then you have done well. Sending you a big

Had an odd day today - felt bloated and had stomache cramps all day - with wind!! I have put it down to an out of date yoghurt for breakfast - was 13th Jan - only noticed after I had eaten it!

androbbob · 21/01/2011 21:29

Update - weekly weight loss so far is 47.5 lbs - which is 3 stone 5.5lbs - Wow Wow Wow!!

Only a couple of WI oustanding for this week - will we break the 50lb barrier I wonder!

Littlefish · 21/01/2011 21:32

Lucky I think that many people today have lost perspective on what a normal, healthy weight looks like. If your MIL is overweight herself, then this is very likely to be the case.

You are doing brilliantly - please ignore those who are trying to sabotage (sp) your weightloss.

LuckyLight · 21/01/2011 22:16

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Smile
abgirl · 22/01/2011 07:20

Have had a good start this am - DS1 up early so we've been playing on the wii fit and I've racked up 160 cals :) Off to shower and then pack DSs bads for their night away at Grandma'sGrin

abgirl · 22/01/2011 07:21

bags, not bads - am excited about the prospect of a child free night!

NormaSknockers · 22/01/2011 08:31

Good morning all Grin

Sweetheart did you enjoy your KFC? I love KFC as you can have it within your daily points still, even with the chips! You shouldn't feel guilty, it'll have been fine Grin

Grin at hmc and Blondes fighting for the last word! It can go over 1000 posts if someone still has the window open and posts after the last post was made if that makes sense?

Don't let people get to you Lucky you know you're within healthy limits so just let the comments wash over you, as hard as that is sometimes.

Andro how's your stomach today? And WOW at the loss so far this week, that's impressive!

Good start to your day abgirl well done!

How's everyone set for their weekend? :)

androbbob wow our loss's this week are amazing - hope out of date yogurt doesnt bother you too much

NormaSknockers · 22/01/2011 09:32

Just had some chocolate weetabix for breakfast....not sure if I like it or not Confused

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 22/01/2011 09:39

lucky, you look great in your picture!
Are you wanting to get down to the bottom of your BMI range? I once got down to the bottom of my BMI and I looked TERRIBLE - like a walking skeleton. I know that I look best if I am somewhere around the middle of my BMI range, which is just as well as I would need to lose 2 stone to get to the botton of it, and my BMI is 22 now!

Got a pizza and wine party later. Will have to glue my teeth together!

collision · 22/01/2011 09:41

bump

benbenandme · 22/01/2011 10:16

Does anyone else have pastaking where they work? I had some in the canteen yesterday as I forgot my packed lunch, and its quite a big pot of pasta with tomato sauce, their website says its 3 pp's for a 100g serving but that just doesn't seem right as pasta is quite high in points?? Confused

NormaSknockers · 22/01/2011 10:40

ben that sounds about right as 100g of cooked plain, white pasta is 3PPs :) It's not a very large portion though, 100g cooked I mean, less then you would think.

Shuffles in with shoulders drooping - affecting an apologetic stance...

Sorry ladies, I promise to stand aside and let someone else finish this thread when the time comes Wink

Very jealous of abgirl's child free night - enjoy! (especially the lie in tomorrow)

Just to add to the chorus Lucky - you're fine as you are, you look like a good strong but shapely athletic build, not at all waif like and undernourished!

I think sometimes people mean well when they say things like that, they are perhaps worried you will get carried away on the crest of a wave and go to far with the dieting...sometimes they forget you are adult and can make mature and sensible choices about when to stop.

How many pp's in the chocolate weetabix Norma?

shonnomanom · 22/01/2011 13:32

Hi new thread! waves to all

lucky a few years back my cousin lost as much as you had but looked ill, she was skin and bone. You on the other hand look healthy and I bet (apart from jealous folk putting you down) your feeling great. Good on you! Ps, you are my weightloss inspiration, although I will never be as fit and succesful as you. Im too lazy for that. Still havent put the new batteries in the Wii, but im using my recent trip down the stairs as an excuse not to exercise, nughty sho!

well done ladies, keep up the good work
sho x

MrsMoosickle · 22/01/2011 13:39

Just marking my place. Had second meeting today and delighted to discover a cream egg is 5 pro points!

I'm tracking onlie too, its much easier to control imho, lost 2.5 lb last week and 11 to go.

androbbob · 22/01/2011 13:55

Hello everyone! Just back from Little Kickers - footie for the under 5's. DS loves it but this session is funded by our local Childrens Centre and they are under threat due to council cuts, so we may lose the session come Apirl Sad

Had a relatively low PP day - 3PP porridge for breakky made from Oatbran and water with splash of milk, lunch was a wrap with mdeallions of bacon, onion and mushroom and half a dairylea light triangle - was delicious!

Planned food for the coming week - just need to give some thought to lunches for the four days I work - new office and nowhere in walking distance to go.

My stomach is a lot beter today - still not 100% but not in pain now! I chucked the other out of date yog away - not chancing it!

No then hmc and blondes - I hope we have no more fighting over posting the last message on this thread! You can fight over who has done the most exercise or eaten the best low PP meal!!

norma - I noticed you mentioned earlier about not being fussed about alcohol - same here - can take or leave it and usually dont bother. Saves a load of points!!

MrsMoo - great weight loss - well done!

Going to my Mum's for tea tomorrow so planning a low PP day and saving my weekly PP for that also. She does do low fat cooking generally and is doing a roast, so as long as I dont overdo the potatoes I wil be ok!

Willabywallaby · 22/01/2011 14:03

So I was thinknig of having take away chinese for dinner, but can't quite believe a special chow mein is 9 PP, I might double it.....Haven't used any of my weekly points yet so could go over today. My Mum is arriving very soon, so going to trawl the recipes and pick 3 for the coming days.

abgirl have a gfreat childfree night and lucky you know you're looking great ignore the negative comments Bear
