Are there any of you?

OP posts:
Mum72 · 31/12/2010 13:42

Yes - although you would not have thought so for the lat 10 days.

Day of reckoning aka post xmas weigh in for me is next Tuesday and I am dreading it after booking last Tuesday as a diet holiday and not going to weigh in. I have been food optomising but with chocolate and crap.

Prior to christmas I had lost 1stone 10lbs in 9 weeks.

aristomache · 31/12/2010 13:44

I lost 3 ]stone on SW in exactly 6 months! I stuck to red days and didnt syn all week so I could have my wine at weekends. It's a really good plan.

savedbygrace · 31/12/2010 18:35

WOW - you two have some good losses. I joined (for the umpteenth and final time) on Tuesday........
(swapped from WW Pro Points - which I hated).

I want to loose it - and I want to loose it quick.

OP posts:
aristomache · 01/01/2011 12:33

I'd suggest doing mainly red days then - I lost quicker once I decided to do the same.

I might possibly start back on SW on monday, although I am leaning more towards atkins.

Oh and I never joined a class, I bought the books off ebay and had some help from my sister who already knew the plan.

Good luck anyway!! Let us know how you get on

moosky · 02/01/2011 21:22

Lost 3 stone in 6 months on SW Extra Easy.
Love love love it! I go every Thursday for weigh in. Motivates me and keeps me on the straight and narrow.
Haven't been majorly strict with myself on it. Eat like a horse and still enjoy treats, esp chocolate!
1.5 stone to go!
Highly recommend...

savedbygrace · 04/01/2011 20:32

OP posts:
AuntieDoris · 04/01/2011 21:48

Are we allowed to ask what this weeks password is still ? Anyone know ?

DreamTeamGirl · 05/01/2011 23:20

There isnt weekly passwords anymore, you have to have a logon id and a pin code which is checked that you are a paid up member everytime you logon

Well done SBG *lbs is AMAZING!!

Doris You will be fine, just make sure you stay for Image Therapy. It feels wierd the first couple of weeks, but then it all comes together and honestly those who stay d better than those who dont

I out on 4lbs over Xmas & NT, so utted, but it is my own fault
Back on wagon this week!!

Mum72 · 05/01/2011 23:20

Here is a to a New Year - and New Us!

OP posts:
westlake · 06/01/2011 17:04

My weigh in is at 6pm. no idea how i've been. I had lost 8lb before xmas and feel like i need a fresh start as i haven't been sticking to it at all.

nigglewiggle · 06/01/2011 17:56

Can anyone tell me how the online version works? I've started a thread, but no-one's answering SadWink. I have two DD's under 5 and a DH who works away a lot so I don't think I'll be able to make classes, but I have a good 2 stone to lose.

Smile
DreamTeamGirl · 06/01/2011 18:21

Hi niggle
Do you mean BodyOptimise?
Basically you pay a set amount up front and get a pack and access to all the on line support for a certain length of time
Its not cheap but you do get some support and access to syns on line for the tinme - I think its aboiut 6 weeks

Easiest- and cheapest- thing for you would probably be to buy this weeks Bella and clip the voucher and then get along to a group in the next week or so and buy this months magazine (save 90p at group) , a syns directory, get the whole plan explained and get the code so you can log on for 1 week and download and print anything you think you might need
Then if you cant go back so be it, but at least you have everything you need

Minimins is really good for finding syns values here and Ivillage is ace for support specific to SW here
HTH

nigglewiggle · 06/01/2011 18:26

Thank you Dream that's brilliant. All I need now is Bella (and some determination Grin).

westlake · 06/01/2011 20:00

ok so i gained 1/2lb and a pomegranate :-) Not bad at all!

savedbygrace · 06/01/2011 20:12

I love pomegranate

savedbygrace · 06/01/2011 22:04

Unicorn - I've lost count of the times I've joined. I want to lose 6/7 stone. x

AuntieDoris · 07/01/2011 22:14

Well I went and it was fine. Haven't started the diet today because by the time I got home it was late and I need to get my head around what I can eat. I intend to menu plan and shop tomorrow :)

DreamTeamGirl · 07/01/2011 22:38

Well done AuntieDoris

Dont know if this is useful but its a first week shopping list from another site:

Mullerlights or Shape fat free yogurts, at least 1 per day

Lean meat- chicken, ham, extra lean mince (in tescos it is the healthy choice one)

Chicken and beef bovril to make stock

Potatoes, pasta and rice

Lots of fresh & frozen veggies, whatever you eat

Couscous, plain or flavoured- but check the syns as some have and some dont- plain will be free if you make it with bovril and no butter and just add your own flavourings

Plenty of eggs, again at least 1 per day

Frylite

Fruit, anything you enjoy, fresh or frozen NOT juiced, tinned or pureed

Ryvitas

Laughing cow light or extra light cheese (I prefer the light and you gte 4 to the 5 extra light which arent as nice IMO)

Wholemeal bread -400gram loaves, or if you buy 800gram its 1HEb plus 3 syns for 2 slices.

Baked beans

Salaldy bits you enjoy, cherry tomatos for with couscous

Some low syn snacks like ryvita limbos

Extra light Flora

Extra light hellmans mayonnaise

passata, great for making up tomato based sauces (chillis, spaog bol, curries etc) and it's free on all plans, so are tin toms but tomato puree is syned.

I'd also stock up on herbs and spices. Just sprinkling different herbs on your meat or wedges gives food a completley different taste.

Aplen light bars, great for a sweet tooth or a quick breakfast on the go. Kit kats (2 fingers) only 5.5 syns - ideal for when you need some 'proper' chocolate. Puffed wheat is also a good cereal - it's sugar puffs minus the sugar but 28g gives you a HUGE bowl - in fact i can only eat 14g so i can have another bowl later on for supper and all for just one HE B.

Low fat natural yogurt, greek 0% yogurt, quark all great for adding an options hot chocolate sachet to and making up a crummy pudding. My favourite is the white chocolate one

Quorn pieces and mince
Tin of Chick pea dhal from Asda (free on green)
Mugshots - noodle ones and the tomato pasta is free on a green day

Chopped toms

Sweetcorn

Morrisons diet pork sausages-syn free

Stock cubes

worcester/soy/tabasco sauce

Low fat grated cheese

Cottage cheese great for quiche

GandTiceandaslice · 08/01/2011 15:01
