Can I join the thread too? I started SW on New Year's Eve so I could start the plan (for the nth time) on 1 January. 5 weeks in and I've lost 11lb so far so am pretty happy. I got into a pair of jeans I bought a while ago but couldn't get into then which is a great boost. I have a shed load to lose, 7 stone, so a long way to go but I am determined to do it. I'm really enjoying it this time around - I'm a single mum now whereas before I always had someone questioning me about what I was eating and constantly asking me how much I weigh and checking the size labels on my clothes - now I am doing it purely for myself. I've bought the new italian cookbook from SW, and have cooked many meals from the mags etc and have discovered I am actually quite a good cook Grin (contrary to what the ex always said).

Hi everyone!! Im so pleased I found this thread!!! Well done to you all for your absolutely fantastic weightlosses so far!!! I rejoined SW on 4th Jan and have since lost 10lb following the red/green plan. The last time i was at sw they had just brought out EE and i didnt get on with it at all but I think i buggered it up as i didnt realise you had to have a 3rd of your plate as superfree food (oops). So.... im gonna give it a go again after wi on tuesday and see how it goes. Ive sat all day planning and writing a shopping list so i have no excuse for veering off track!

Ive had a baaaaaaaaad week this week so dont hold much hope but im gonna look forward not back, its done now and i bloody enjoyed the chocolate and ice cream ive wolfed at the time!! haha.

Oh and ive taken a black marker to one of my plates and split it into 3 so i know im havin the right amount of superfree Grin

practicallyimperfect · 06/02/2011 18:23

I rejoined on Thursday, I lost 3 and half stone years ago online, joined last July to shift baby weight, but stopped going for bout two months.

Was quite impressed that I only gained 2.5 lbs in that time.

I am loving extra easy, as I love pasta! My new Target is another stone

MrsSalvatore · 06/02/2011 18:32

only 2.5 gain is really good practicallyimperfect you must be really pleased! it always seems like such a mountain to climb when you lose so much then put it back on (plus more in my case)! I originally had 3 stone to lose, lost 2 of it and have put on 4 since so i really need to get there this time!!

wonka · 07/02/2011 14:18

I rejoined last wed already dreading my first weigh in although I have been mostly really good!

MrsSalvatore · 07/02/2011 18:33

Hi wonka!!!

Ive spent all afternoon making soup, chilli and bolognaise for my first attempt at extra easy!! what plan are you doing wonka?xx

wonka · 07/02/2011 19:04

I'm doing extra easy for the first time. Been to tesco today and spent over £100 yogurts spices and meat. keep needing to remind myself only one a & B healthy extra.
I had cake yesterday though

Unicornlover · 07/02/2011 19:52

Still no answer on whether I'm pg. GP's test came back inconclusive so has asked me to put in another next week. She has said it sounds very likely and that I'm to look after myself as if I'm pg.

kid · 07/02/2011 20:46

Since joining the gym, I've been going along and working hard. I don't seem to ache the next day though, am I doing something wrong?
I went yesterday and today and will probably go again tomorrow. I'm doing between 1 to 2 hours a session with a mixture of equipment. It half kills me there, but I'm fine the next day!

My scales are playing up, they won't settle on a weight so the display just goes up and down (they are digital)

screamingskull · 07/02/2011 22:51

woohoo got weighed tonight and lost 51/2 lbs so over the moon especially after the blip last week.

fingers x for you unicorn.

agalchchangedhername · 08/02/2011 07:48

Went to a funeral on Monday and my friends Granny (friends Grandad died) loves you through food so had to eat bits of the buffet. Would have offended a lovely lady if i hadn't so will just see what happens on Thursday.

Unicorn hope you get answers soon x

Well done Screamingskull Smile

Unicornlover · 08/02/2011 19:51

Does anyone know what happens if your pg on slimming world

cep · 08/02/2011 20:18

sorry to jump on the thread but unicornlover s/w will give you a form and leaflet, the form needs to be taken to your midwife to sign to say she's happy for you to stay on the diet. She can add any advice to the form to help the advisor help with the diet.

Unicornlover · 08/02/2011 20:33

not under midwife yet but GP has said I'm best staying on it. Does the actual diet change at all (extra H/E etc)? Can't see my consultant till thursday and am just wondering

cep · 08/02/2011 20:38

I think the gp can complete it as well. (can't remember) Doesn't change at the beginning, i'm afraid my pg didn't last so unsure what happens later in pg. At this point you don't need any extra calories but obviously in the later stage you need an extra 2-300. Speak to your consultant, the leaflet if i remember correctly was pretty helpful. and congratulations.

DreamTeamGirl · 08/02/2011 21:33

Oh sorry, no, no extra HEs until you are breastfeeding I dont think. Def none in the early days. SW would have suited me to the ground- I was addicted to carbs when PG

kid · 08/02/2011 22:57

I stuck with sw when I was pg with ds. I stopped sw when I reached about 5 months pg and it definitely helped me control the weight gain.

Best of luck unicornlover

TitsalinaBumSquash · 09/02/2011 10:26

Gosh I am doing badly this past week, I jsut have no will power and have totally lost my SW groove Sad

Anyone have any tips on getting back on the wagon head held high?
I was so positive and 'up for it' when I started this but now im kist .. meh.

NewPatchesForOld · 09/02/2011 11:58

Titsalina, I've just bought a big bundle of clothes from e bay in a size 16 (I'm an 18-20 at the mo) and have hung them up on my clothes rail where I can see them. If I get tempted to cheat I think of the nice 'new' clothes waiting to be worn and that kind of helps.

Pebblemum · 09/02/2011 19:29

Hi can i join in. I started 4wks ago and so far have lost a total of 9lbs. Im determined to get down to at least 9st 12lb which would be a 3st loss on my starting weight. Ive been using the wii fit every night and going to the gym to help me along and compared to other diets ive tried this one seems to be the best. My MIL has lost almost 6 stone since Sept and my SIL and DH's Aunty have done really well too so it must work.

MrsSalvatore · 09/02/2011 21:56

hi pebblemum!!! congrats on your weightloss so far!

I stayed the same this week but im really pleased cos i had a bit of a bad weekend and sucommed to chocolate and ice cream cravings - explained by the arrival of af today lol!!

back on track and trying extra easy for the first week! been on the wii doing non stop just dance for an hour tonight too phew

Pebblemum · 09/02/2011 22:38

I stayed the same last week, it was my ds3's 2nd birthday and despite my best efforts i just could not resist his lovely gooey birthday cake and other nibbles so like you, i was really pleased that i hadnt put on. Did make me wonder how much i could have lost if i hadnt given in but then i remember how nice the cake was and dont care lol.

strawberrylace · 10/02/2011 15:59

hello - would you mind if i join in too? this is my first try of slimming world - i have managed to lose 9.5lbs in the first two weeks, which i'm delighted with. but today i just WANT A TWIX or some kind of CHOCOLATE!! ahh - i needed to say that... i have plenty of fruit i could eat, but it's not the same

Unicornlover · 10/02/2011 18:03

WI this morning. I lost 4 pound. Consultant is finding leaflet ready for next week. Has anyone got any tips for fighting morning sickness without using all my syns? The only thing that seems to work atm is malted milk biscuits but as I need about 6 at a time to stop feeling sick it's using 12 syns a time so I'm going over my syns every day

agalchchangedhername · 10/02/2011 21:11

Lost 1.5lbs. 12 lost altogether, would like to lose 2 for next week to get my 1st stone but i am out 3x this week so i'll be happy to stay the same Smile
