Are there any of you?

titsaline - you need healthy extras

so

HE 1= milk, cheese etc

HE2 = other stuff, cereals, meat/pasta depending on what plan you are on that day.

It is important to have them and you may find the plan doesn't work for you if your don't

TitsalinaBumSquash · 22/01/2011 18:26

I am hainvg Healthy Extas! Grin

I am having my milk for Tea and Baby bells for HEA and my Nimble bread and HUmmus as HEB. :)

Furball · 22/01/2011 18:43

so you are - apologies! Blush

I've had 45gr of all bran with banana and milk

pack of chicken noodles (really not healthy but very tasty and filling) with tomato/cucumber and teaspoon of mango chutney

followed by few grapes and an apple

massooooveee home made chilli with HE2 minced beef and HE1 cheese

followed by strawberris and dollop of fat free vanilla yoghurt

TitsalinaBumSquash · 22/01/2011 18:46

Lol no worries Grin

I am going to roast up some Chicken portions tomorrow to have (skinless of course ) with a giant salad, then I can have the rest cold in the week with Salads rather than grabbing a McDOnalds when im out. Blush

Hi ladies - can I swing my hefty belly into the group for support?

Have had to switch from ww as I find it difficult to manage working away and working out points.

Also pro point calculationds are a pain as I am living in Switzerland.

So I am on sw as I think it will be easier as long as I avoid fondue.

The only problem I have is lack of muller light yogs! I used to rely on them heavily and am yet to find a decent alternative.

Swiss yog is delish but they like the fat in. Am going to have to hunt around.

Am down to my last cm of frylite too Sad and I do love sw chips and egg for sat night tea!!

I would like to try and shift 3 stone.

I lost 5 last year on ww as I was home with lots of meal planning time to make endless salads and take long walks. I don't have the luxury of this now!

Any tips to kick me off and get me motivated. I am online, but waiting for my magazines etc in the post.

nocakeformeplease · 22/01/2011 22:04

Can I join you all?

Am planning to return to SW on Monday. I say return.... I've only ever gone for 1-2 weeks, lost a few pounds and the given up.

I am now the heaviest I have ever been - 12.1 which at 5ft3 is not good. Would like to lose 2-2.5 stone.

I have tried WW before I prefer the way SW encourages you to eat healthier and cook from scratch - not to mention the fact that you never need to be hungry!

I feel really determined this time, especially after reading about some of your great losses on the last couple of weeks.

To complicate things further, we are currently undergoing IVF and are due to have the embryos put back next week, so my timimg couldn't be worse Grin. However want to put it off any longer. If it doesn't work, I still need to lose the weight and if (please god!) it does, I really want to try and eat a lot healthier and minimise the weight I put on this time.

I know you can follow Sw if pregnant, but does any one know what alterations you need to make to the diet (if any) if pregnant? - as I guess I should do the same during the 2ww.

Anyway, I went onto ebay and ordered copies the 2011 info sheets and got her to send me them on email - it contained a food optomising starter guide, healthy extra lists for both days, super free and free food list, syns list and also over 400 SW receipes for red, green and EE days.

If anyone wants a copy, just let me know.

mummytotwins · 22/01/2011 23:34

I have just started sw this week, I wi for the first time on Tuesday.

In honesty it just seems too good to be true, I have never eaten so well on a diet ever!!! admittedly all the meals are now cooked from scratch but I will be interested to see what the scales say on Tuesday, Im 5ft 4" and weighed in at 10st 5lbs last week, I would LOVE to be 8st 13 (just so I can be 8 strone something lol!!!)

nomorecakeformeplease can I be cheeky and ask for a copy of the recipies if you dont mind :) I have also converted from weight watchers to sw and am loving not having to count points and weigh every blinking thing I eat I am also finding it healthier as I used to use a lot of my points for stupid snacky things. Good luck!! :)

mummytotwins · 22/01/2011 23:35

ha ha I made your name longer!!!! sorry!

nocakeformeplease · 23/01/2011 12:45

Hi mummytotwins - just send me a pm with your email address and I'll forward you a copy.

Good luck for weigh in x

TitsalinaBumSquash · 23/01/2011 21:09

Forgive me fellow Slimming Worlders for I have syned... in a big way.

I had a friend round today who didn't know I was doing SW and they brought me a Stilton and Steak Pasty. I felt bad saying 'no im on SW' they are home made and she knows they are my favourite.
I ate it with gusto then gently broke the news about SW. Im guessing there were vast amounts of syns in it.
I have had all free food the rest of the day and done a 20 minute workout that nearly killed me.

I have even packed a health packed lunch for tomorrow when I take DS1 to London for his anual review. Usually we get Maccys, I have packed Grapes, Babybells, Carrot/Celery sticks and Baby Tomatoes and some chicken drumsticks I marinaded for lunch today. (all free)

I will have Wheatabix for breakfast and god knows what for dinner, a Tuna sandwich (nimble bread) maybe with fruit and a yoghurt.

DreamTeamGirl · 23/01/2011 23:58

Hey Titsalina!

I have synned pretty bad today too

BTW, if you get stuck, a MCD Happy meal of nuggets and chips is

Chicken McNuggets, box of 4
EE6 O6 G9
Chicken McNuggets, box of 6
EE9 O9 G13

French Fries, 1 regular
EE8½ O12 G8½

So on EE with a diet drink you could have it for 14.5 syns, which is just about doable.

Montifer · 24/01/2011 21:34

Hi, please can I join you? Smile

Have had success with SW before but am currently my biggest ever.
With DS2 now 9 weeks old, time to do something about it.

Have had a reasonable 1st day with a massive pan of veg soup on the hob and omelette and salad for dinner.
Got some Shape yogs in fridge, not sure I can face the Muller lights this time, will be looking for some good snacking alternatives.

Great thread for inspiration and ideas.

nomorecake - I did SW whilst pg with DS1 a few years ago and IIRC got 2 extra A choices and 1-2 Bs. Definitely worth getting someone to check in group or online to be sure.

nocakeformeplease · 25/01/2011 10:21

Thanks Montifer. I have decided to go to a class as I need the motivation so will check with them this evening.

Did it help control your weight gain with DS1?

DreamTeamGirl · 26/01/2011 11:59

Hi all

How are peoples weigh in's going this week?

I am due tonight- didnt get there last week- and am a bit nervous as I had a bad 10 days where I ate shite Blush
Hopefully not too bad tho!!

Furball · 26/01/2011 12:53

I lost 1 lb this week!

coldtits · 26/01/2011 15:32

hi ....

I just joined slimming world. the last diet i did was weight watchers and I'm just getting to gips with nobody caring which part of the chicken I eat, or how many potatoes I shovel in!

agalchchangedhername · 26/01/2011 18:04

Weigh in tomorrow!! Was absolutely paraletic on Friday night and ate tons of party food so won't be surprised if i don't lose. Have been 'good' since tho so here's hoping Smile

DreamTeamGirl · 26/01/2011 21:09

Well doen Furball

Ahh coldits, the freedom of SW compared to WW- quite liberating isnt it? Just dont forget your superfree 1/3rd and you will be fine

Good Luck Agalch- maybe you will get a maintain?

I just weighed in and lost 0.5lb, which is great all things considered... Does leave me 3.5lb down on my target for the next 12 weeks tho :(
Oh well, onwards & downwards!!

kid · 27/01/2011 22:32

I weighed myself tonight and I wish I hadn't. I suppose I expected it to be bad as my clothes are getting tighter so I really shouldn't moan as its my own fault.

So, here I am again and I want to plan for the next few days at least. I have my pen and paper at the ready but its just staring blankly back at me!
I wish I could just be slimmer.

kid · 27/01/2011 22:37

nocakeformeplease
Please could I have a copy of the info you got from Ebay? I really do need all the help I can get right now.
Surely I can't be the only person on the planet that can't lose weight? Its so depressing getting heavier and heavier.

Furball · 28/01/2011 06:50

kid - I've been on a diet since ds was born nearly 10 years ago Blush - now that is depressing.

a few years back I did actually manage to get going and going I got - I lost 2 stone and got somewhere near a baggy fitting 14, felt and looked sooooo much better. Why oh why oh why......did I then stuff my fat face back up 2 stone heavier, leaving me back at square one.

I have now just arranged to meet an old friend who I have not seen for 14 years and I have 3 weeks to lose as much as possible.

agalchchangedhername · 28/01/2011 07:07

Lost a pound which was more than i deserve after last Friday nights excesses Grin

Onwards and downwards tho!!!
