hey,

just introduced myself on the other slimming world thread.

I signed up for the online program yesterday and had my first extra easy day today. Haven't been hungry so not sure it's working... Wink On weight watchers I was often hungry and grumpy so this is a new start.

Unfortunately I have not managed to have a third of my plate with fruit today during every meal. I think it was just beginners issues though somehow. I have now bought a lot of fruit to have with breakfast and lunch (should I eat it before the 'real' meal?)

Oh and I would like to lose 1 to 1.5 stone

gforgiraffe · 19/01/2011 14:21

Hi,
I joined SW on Monday (for about the 4th time). I had lost 3.5 stone after DD2 but, now I have DS (8wks), I have almost 3 stone to lose AGAIN Sad, and about 18 wks to do it in (as need to get back into uniform for work !)

Finding it hard to get really motivated and sticdk to it 100%, BUT, am going to try to have loads of superspeed foods to make up for it !! (I LOVE mushy peas !)

Quick & easy meal ideas would be vrey helpful, thanks.

6.5 lbs lost woop woop.Grin

Can definitely recommend SW chips - had them three times last week (don't normally eat chips except on holiday!!)

Another great meal was wholemeal pitta (7.5 syns) stuffed with shredded romaine lettuce, lamb steak grilled and sliced into strips, 0% greek yoghurt mixed with mint sauce. YUMMY!

MummieHunnie · 20/01/2011 09:08

Kebab sounds yummy x good job with the weight loss

gforgiraffe · 20/01/2011 14:32

Had wmealpitta filled with ham and salad for lunch today. I thought the wmeal pitta was a HE B ?? Not sure what's for tea yet, got chicken and bacon in fridge along with all varity of veg etc. Any stimulating ideas ?

Unicornlover · 20/01/2011 21:16

Last week I lost 5.5lb but at WI today i'd gained 1.5lb. Partly due to living off food from either slow cooker or microwave as cooker isn't gonna be connected till monday. had jacket spuds with mozzerella (HE A) and herby mushrooms tonight.

agalchchangedhername · 20/01/2011 21:16

Lost 7lbs tonight Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/01/2011 09:23

Hi everyone, can I join?
I should say rejoin, I have done SW twice before with really good results.

I can't go to the meetings this time though, all of them around here are in the evening after my kids are in bed. I am doing it mostly from memory but a kind lady on Freecycle has given me her welcome pack as she doesn't go anymore, im picking it up later.

I remeber most of it anyway and still have a syns directory and a couple of recipe books.

I also have to stick to things the kids will eat as we eat together now.

I am going to stick to Red/Green days, I didn't get on well with EE and never lost anything becuase I would eat to much.

Im doing Red today, I have had a poached egg on 1 Slice of Nimbe bread (is it 1 or 2 slices of the 400g Nimble for a HB?)

I have got out some Gammon from the freezer left over from Christmas that we will have with Salad (and the kids chips)

Im struggling with lunches though, can anyone give me some ideas of lunches that they have?

Thanks :)

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/01/2011 09:25

Also does anyone have any experience of only sticking to one kind of day?

I find Green days so much easier (baked beans on toast or Beans and Jackets all round) but am I going to get results eating like that?

WantToFeelLikeAPrincess · 21/01/2011 12:20

Hello, can I join?

I have recentl joined SW, and today I had a lovely breakfast, and I am thinking what I can have for lunch. I am doing an orange day.

MickeyMixer · 21/01/2011 13:40

Who left that shortbread lying around?? Angry Curses self violently as she stuffs now empty packet into bottom of the bin

TitsalinaBumSquash - my DH and I did 12 months on only red days back in 2007 and lost 10 stone between us!!

Agalchchangedhername - wow - congratulations!

agalchchangedhername · 21/01/2011 14:43

I am doing the EE at the minute. I will see how it goes. It has worked the first week so it might suit me?

I have started actually going to the gym and working out too instead of doing a leisurely swim/steam with my friend Blush

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/01/2011 14:59

Does anyone know what sort of sysn were looking at for Porrige? (Made with 50/50 water/skimmed milk)

agalchchangedhername · 21/01/2011 15:31

Titsalina plain Oat So Simple is 5(27g) and flavoured is 6.5 (36g). That's on all plans.

Porridge oats 28g dry is 5 on all plans too.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/01/2011 17:16

Wow that quite a lot!
Can someone tell me what Cereals it is listed in the HEB?

The lady that had the SW books on Freecycle dropped them off and they were actually Rosemary Conelly (sp?) which is a complicated diet if ever I did see one!

I am shopping tomorrow (with both the kids ) so am trying to complie a list of family friendly, Slimming World friendly meals for a reasonable price!

Furball · 22/01/2011 08:19

Hi all, could I please plonk my lardy arse down here?

I'm going to join this thursday. Terrified of standing on scales but need the shock to spur me on.

2010 New Years resolution was to get thin. Little did I know then that I was already pregnant so 2010 ended up being the year of getting even fatter.

Here's to lots of lovely weight loss.
