Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

glad you are feeling better smokin

Murtette · 29/01/2011 16:17

Well done on your losses all of you (and I'm inc Blondes in that as I'm sure you would have lost had you not had AF).

How many of you are only eating 1300 cals or so? No wonder I'm losing weight a lot more slowly. I think I must be on at least 1600. I've had a good week but am going out for dinner tonight with DP and we go out so little these days that I tend to choose whatever I want when I am out. I shall certainly be showing no restraint when it comes to the drinks menu.

Blondes - parsnip soup is delicious. I can't believe how sweet it is. I made it with 3 parsnips which I thought would be enough for 2 lunches but I ate it all at once.

Have a good weekend.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 10:44

maybe i would have done murtette - lets hope for a loss next week eh :)

parsnip soup is so sweet and creamy - couldnt beleive it

hows everyone today?

last night was a semi disastrous - chinese for mil birthday - i mainly stuck to lemon chicken and also had beef noodles and 2 chicken balls

but didnt have duck pancake rolls or rice - think it came to roughly 25pp

GettinTrimmer · 30/01/2011 14:26

Afternoon all Smile Just had birthday cake, dd's bday tomorrow but had her party today at a soft play area.

No roast dinner today, no time to cook it, I have to declutter the house - at the moment the front room is strewn with wrapping paper, dd's presents from her friends, my pokey kitchen is crammed full and I can't even see the floor in ds's bedroom! Wish me luck...

See you all tomorrow.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 14:41

how did party go trimmer?

where is everyone today?

who is WI tom?

Murtette · 30/01/2011 15:06

Well done for being so restrained, Blondes! I'm not sure I will lose tomorrow as last night I ate loads of bread, drank at least half a bottle of wine, had a really rich main course and tiramisu for dessert. I did only have a salad for my starter. I was planning on being really good today but the PILs insisted on taking us out for lunch despite the fact I'd already made a pretty healthy casserole. Oh well, we can have some for dinner tomorrow and the rest can go in the freezer.

Gettin - how has the de-cluttering gone? I'm being really lazy at the moment as am putting all de-cluttering off until we move house.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 15:07

sounds a lovely meal murtette Envy

smokinaces · 30/01/2011 15:09

I had parsnip and apple soup for our christmas meal - it was bloody gorgeous, might give it a go making it at home

I just woke up. I got in about 1.30 from the party - two vodkas and lots of diet coke - and slept until gone half 2. My throat is feeling a lot better though, but my back is awful. Not sure if its the laying in bed or lack of exercise in the last few days. Really want to hit it today, but know its a bad idea deep down so will have to sit it out until tomorrow evening. Am hopefully getting a cross trainer for free too, which will be ace!

I am WI tomorrow Blondes. Not sure if any loss will happen, but trying not to gain this week most importantly. Have stuck to the diet (apart from sucky sweets for throat) this week so even with lack of exercise and illness and stress am secretly hoping for -1lb.

I had a dream I decluttered last night Trimmer. So not going to happen though Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 15:11

i have been known to bung an apple or 2 in my parsnip soup - ts so easy to make :)

you must have needed the sleep smokin so hope you feel a bit better now and good luck with wi tom :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 17:56

What's everyone else eaten today?

smokinaces · 30/01/2011 19:54

I've had a manic day - went to pick DSes up from their dads and had to race to the OOH GPs with ear infection raging in one - 90 minute wait, then massive drive to nearest open chemist. Thankfully had a bag of ww crisps in the car to stop me grabbing something worse.

Had 3 weetabix with semi milk, cup of options hot chocolate, 1/2 bottle of lipton peach tea, 1/2 can of cream tomato soup, 1 roll, 2 low fat yogurts and a banana and a can of diet coke. Not a great day, but could have been a lot worse.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 21:19

Smokin days food intake isn't that bad - how's earache now?

trimmer happy birthday to dd tomorrow :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/01/2011 07:28

Happy birthday GT to your littlin!

Biggest Loser later... Although have to watch Silent Witness first.

Busy old weekend, I shall return to work today for a rest Wink

Hope all my fellow Slinks are slinking nicely?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2011 07:30

morning

Happy birthday tiny trimmer :)

indeed BL tonight and tomorrow night - poor mr blondes

Murtette · 31/01/2011 09:17

I've sts - again. I know I deserve too after the weekend I've had but I had hoped the diet gods might be kind to me. I must get back on the wagon again and stay back up on it for more than a couple of days.

Smokin - how's your DS?

Trimmer - happy birthday to your DD.

Blondes - at what stage do you add an apple and what is the apple to parsnip ratio

Piste - You might have to give me a summary of BL tomorrow as I'm not sure DP (or I) can bear to watch it again. I have so much stacking up on Sky+. And, after years of nagging, DP has finally watched an episode of West Wing and really enjoyed it so wants to watch that together once he's got through series 1. I may have to have another DC just so I get to spend hours on the sofa feeding and can catch up on all of the TV I have saved to watch.

prettybird · 31/01/2011 09:21

Happy Birthday littletrimmer :)

Happy Birthday LittleTrimmer! :)

I was not good over the weekend! Probably the healthiest thing was last nights spanish chicken...and that had chorizo in it!! Blush Was nice though!

I tried watching BL, but just can't get in to it! The format does my head in! And as DH won't watch it with me it's difficult to fit it in! Our Sky+ planner is getting very full too!

Is it time to jump ship to the new thread? This one is very nearly full!!

GettinTrimmer · 31/01/2011 10:44

That's so lovely!! I'll pass on birthday wishes to her. Big girl now, 6 exactly at lunch time Smile Thanks all!

Just a quick hello as I am waiting for the estate agents to come, they should be here any minute. Our property will be on the internet, etc, etc.

bebe you n me both, not too bad yesterday. Are you maintaining or trying for 10 stone?

Speak to you all later Smile

bebejones · 31/01/2011 11:57

I hover between thinking I should maintain, & thinking that I should try for 10st. I'm just on the edge of being a healthy BMI at 10st 9lbs, (BMI 24.8) I'd like to have a bigger 'buffer zone'! Hmm

prettybird · 31/01/2011 12:11

Definitely time to jump ship. Off we go here where the new thread is ready and waiting and already primed with latest weights :)

Bebe - I'll be in the same situtation as you: at 10stone 6lb I'd probably be happy - but I'm aiming for 9 stone 13lb to have a good buffer zone. Still a way to go though before I need to worry about it Wink
