hmmm, not convinced ill love it! that might be going a bit far! lol

what sort of results can i expect in what sort of time frame?

Joby1970 · 19/11/2010 14:41

you can lose a couple of inches all over if you do it regularly enough for the 30 days (obv depends on how many inches you have to lose).

OK I'm sucked in.

Ordered yesterday, arrived today. Day one done.

Lets see how I feel in the morning. Not feeling too bad now and the 20 mins went quite quickly.

Joby1970 · 19/11/2010 14:49

pinkytinky - well done.

well done
:)

was it awful? or ok?

prettybird · 19/11/2010 16:02

Marking my place :)

On Day 5 of Level 2, 2nd time around. Only did 7 or 8 days of Level 1, 'cos I know that Level 2 is the killer one (sucker for punishment, me). I'm using 2kg weights (actually 1kg dumbbells together with 1Kg ankle weights), but think I could do with heavier ones for some of the exercises (not the V raises, 2kg is more than enough, thank yuo very much Wink)

TheSkiingGardener · 19/11/2010 17:16

Ok, I'm nearly sold. I was losing weight walking but the weather is kyboshing that now and my trousers are getting tight again.

I've never done exercise videos, so am havering. I've always preferred the gym, weights and skiing. Those are out at the moment with DS.

MN jury, do I buy the video, or buy a larger pair of trousers?

prettybird · 19/11/2010 17:26

You know the answer!...... Wink

... and anyway, the DVD is only £7.93 from Amazon, which will be much cheaper than a new pair of trousers (which you will hate anyway, 'cos they are a size larger) Grin

If it helps ypou justify it, a lot of the exercises are good preparatroy ones for skiing, especially Level 2: lots of standing squats Hmm. Plus you will be improving your upper body strength, so if you ver have to pole, it will be less exhausting tiring ( hate poling!).

TheSkiingGardener · 19/11/2010 17:44

Hmm, good point.

I've asked Santa for a wobble board for Christmas to improve my skiing, this would merely be an extension of that idea!

prettybird · 19/11/2010 17:53

I bought dh a wobble board years ago 'cos he'd damaged his calf the season before (our first holiday oist ds' birth 4 months before - just meant dh and I had to go out again 2 months later Grin) thinking he wojld like it as a way of dtrnegthening his core stablising muscles.

He hated it and has never used it Hmm

TheSkiingGardener · 19/11/2010 18:05

I love them in the gym. Pre DS I was quite good on them. I'm expecting it to be quite tough and frustrating as I get back into it though.

Pregnancy isn't good for your core muscles, is it!

Pinkytinky · 20/11/2010 09:12

Ok... day two. Going to get it out of the way early....

Pinkytinky · 20/11/2010 10:14

Done.... Feeling ok...tho I am still with Anita! Legs a bit like jelly and arm moves were tougher today!

OnceUponA · 20/11/2010 15:04

I'm starting on monday, but I have a few questions- should you do it with a diet plan as well? And when you have finished the 30 days do you start again straight away or what?

LollipopViolet · 20/11/2010 15:21

I'm downloading this from itunes. Only 5 minutes left. I'm quite scared! I'll report back when I've finished it, if it hasn't finished me!

LollipopViolet · 20/11/2010 15:51

Ugh. I am pathetic, I got through 2 circuits, then had to stop for fear of damaging myself. I was following Anita too so even more worrying! Will try again tomorrow.

YunoYurbubson · 20/11/2010 16:31

Hello, can I ask you veteran shredders a couple of questions?

I have just done day 2.

My tummy and buttocks don't hurt at all. I can feel it in my arms, back, and front of thighs. Whilst toned arms and back would be very welcome, my worst bits are my tummy and arse - is the shred regime going to have much effect on these areas?

And I have been using 2 cans of chickpeas for weights - are these far too light?

MickyLee · 21/11/2010 06:04

Never managed to do Day 3 yesterday. Left the house at 11am without time for shreading before I went out. Ended up not getting home until 10pm which was unexpected.

So Day 3 will have today.

Slobbadan · 21/11/2010 08:05

can i ask a question about the 3 levels, Do you do level 1 for 30 days, or up the levels as you feel level 1 to easy? i have the dvd but have only done level 1.

notyummy · 21/11/2010 08:07

Yuno it should have an affect on those places! Make sure you are going as low as possible in the squats and lunges for maximum arse ache!! Yes, tins too light. You do need weights. I think most people are using around 1.5 kg weights - perhaps buy a set including that weight, but also has heavier ones for when you want to move up?

LollipopViolet · 21/11/2010 10:59

Waaah I so don't want to Shred today! I hurt from yesterday, and still feel pathetic that I only managed two circuits out of three on the easiest version of Level 1!!!! I best do it I suppose, before I have lunch and have to go out to the hockey... ouch ouch ouch.

MickyLee · 21/11/2010 11:57

Finished day 3.. feel great now but the circuits are not getting easier.

YunoYurbubson · 21/11/2010 14:04

Right, I did the hardest exercises for everything today. Hopefully will hurt all over tomorrow.

Was aided today by a helpful 4yo dd and 2yo ds. Both taking it very seriously from start to finish. Ds used two cars as weights, and dd used a toy kitten and a toy rabbit. They both put their "equasize" clothes on and everything. Was very funny.
