And a very good morning to you all!

hello flying cat, you sound in a v. similar position to me (except you have lost a smidgeon more weight, so you win, LOL).

shred is effective but somewhat erm strenous. she's very into no gain without pain, put it that way. davina must be good - as the person who had it last from the library has nicked it Angry.

Undertone · 15/08/2010 21:10

Hello Flyingcat - thanks for carrot-on-pole encouragement waving speedy 16 > 14 transition in front of me!! Grin

mamafigaro - I'm a shred fan. I think there are clips of it on youtube if you want to have a sneaky peek first? You feel like you pack a LOT into 20 minutes, and I have a girl crush on Jillian because she's so mean and tough.

On top of 8k run this morning I cleaned flat (you should have seen the colour of the water in the mop bucket after doing my floors - yikes! I'm such a slattern) and have just done day 8 of level 2 of shred (am not doing it consecutive days).

Had 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices granary toast with flora light, 1 turkey breast in spicy tomato & pepper sauce thing, 1 pot fat free greek yog and am just considering eating a big bowl of broccoli and cottage cheese or something as it's s bit late for a proper meal but need some protein after shredding.

Cyb - just ran across to nosey at the, as you put it, 'I'm too fat nothing fits' style & beauty thread. You're right - they're not into tough love over there!

NoseyNooNoo · 15/08/2010 21:52

Cybil: 'I think I've upset some people on an 'I'm too fat what can I wear thread') oops'

Cybil, Get over yourself! No one said they were too fat, they were asking what would suit their shape - and as it happens, if you really think that nothing tastes as good as thin feels, you clearly can't cook!

hmc · 15/08/2010 22:32

Cybil - don't flatter yourself, you didn't upset us, we merely found your contribution (ummmm...how can I put this...) irrelevent

teameric · 15/08/2010 22:35

Cybil you cheeky mare, I was on that thread, you didn't offend me, and it wasn't a "im too fat to wear anything" thread, twas about body shape.(big fat raspberry emoticon) Grin

mamamiafigaro · 16/08/2010 08:15

Undertone im envious of the fact you can do an 8k run! I have the couch to 5k programme but i have only been out twice as too mortified to take my fat arse out alone - i need a partner in crime and thus far i have no takers -

Just done 45mins of begginers yoga and i feel quite refreshed now! Think i need to try a more fast paced one to add to the mix.

Not brave enough to try the shred yet, altho i will buy the DVD and weights in a few weeks in preparation.

Flyingcat, well done on the weight loss so far, very encouraging.

Joby1970 · 16/08/2010 08:31

Morning ladies - I totally dropped out of the zone this weekend! 2 pizzas! At least they were Co-op ones so ethically sourced lol!

So back to it this week. I have lots of crunchy salad & some blackberries I picked yesteday (such an earth mother lol). Also got body pump tonight

BudaisintheZONE · 16/08/2010 10:45

Hi all. Didn't zone yesterday after all. Not too bad but not in zone.

Def back in zone today though.

Have a sick puppy. Throwing up all night and was so weak this morning she could hardly lift her head. Sad DH spent 2 hours getting water into her every 15 mins and she then slept. Seems a lot better. Vet coming to see her in next hour or so. VERY lucky to have a vet that does house calls!

Planning a VERY zoney week. Took dog for walk this morning but had NO energy - hayfever has kicked in so felt drained. There is a particular weed that is everywhere here this time of year and that always gets me.

Hi all,

Buda - hope the pup is ok. When my lab pup had a sickness bug the vet gave him an injection to stop the sickness, anti biotics and a white fish and rice diet which worked wonders. It is worrying when they are so little.

Well, I have gained a couple of pounds on holiday - to be expected really. Went to the gym yesterday and knocked out a fast (for me) 3'5km - sub 20mins them did a 3000m row and 15mins of abs work. Hoping to go again tonight after dd lifesaving lesson. I m going to do the supermarket shop tonight while she is lifesaving - have have nothing fresh in from being away so I am eating crap!

Undertone · 16/08/2010 18:14

tibni - 3000m row!! Wow! I hate rowing machines so I think you are superwoman.

Buda - poor puppy!

Joby - BAD! Do you think your swimming costume is going to care if your big arse was ethically sourced?? Grin

mamafigaro - do you have an iPod? I found that when I was wobbling around the park (having to stop every few minutes) when I first started in March I was able to block everyone around me out by listening to really pounding music! I was in my own little trance (probably helped by not going running with my contact lenses in) and totally ignored everyone around me.

After a while it just became a habit, and I if I now see people looking at me while I run I think they're probably going 'cor - fair play to her - she's really going for it' rather than 'my lord! what the hell is THAT?'

Years ago I tried running without an iPod and these little scally shits shouted at me as I ran past, which upset me. Now I have no idea if anyone is shouting at me - all I can hear is 'I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT. I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT...'

At the end of the day, the only people who would look at a larger lady running and be cruel enough to comment are exactly the sort of people whose opinions you can totally discount. 95% of people seeing someone running feel only admiration and respect... and probably envy.

magentastardust · 16/08/2010 18:55

Can I join please ladies.

Have underactive thyroid so weightloss can be done but can be slow. Was 16 st 5 now 15st 10 would like to lose another 10lbs in the next 2-3 months.

Got a holiday booked in 9 weeks -am currently fit into most size 18 things but not all would like to fit into 16/18 for going away and be more toned.

Going to try 30 day shred and will be going to 2 excercise classes a week from next week when they start up again (circuit training and pilates ).

Off on a 5 mile walk with friend tonight. Just need support to keep the momentum and loss up! :)

FlyingCat · 16/08/2010 21:44

I have realized that either the vending machine at work is possessed by a viscous and vindictive thin person or that chocolate in the afternoons is just not meant to be.

First there was the incident last week where I discovered (after not eating chocolate bars in a while) that they now put the calories on the front so you can read it through the machine wsindow... walked away shamefaced and got myself a nice big glass of water instead.

Today's attempt even less successful. Machine saw me coming and decided to go out of order. Sigh. Oh well meant I stayed broadly on plan foodwise.

Finding myself oddly uninclined to exercise this week cos of boot-camp starting on Friday - terrified I'll injure myself and have to cancel... hmm Hmm not exercising in case it stops me from exercising... I'm a contrary cat!

Mammamia I know what you mean - I was so worried about being laughed out of the park that I used to go after dark or first thing in the morning. It really only lasts about 2 mins before you stop noticing though so worth getting yourself out there and going for it - good luck!

Buda my thoughts are with you and your sick puppy, hope it's ok. Must be lovely having dogs though - some company when getting out for a walk - I do sometimes find it quite lonely.

Positive vibes all round to the rest of you also. Remember - salad really is proper food despite what it tastes like!

cyb · 16/08/2010 21:49

Hi Busy! I'm here and from TOMORROW I am HERE

Things have slipped and I need to get bacdk in the zone

Phew

cyb · 16/08/2010 21:56

coo - only just read all those comments directed at me- I am bossy aren't I?Blush

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 16/08/2010 22:00

Cyb - slipping standards - that's what happens when you do too much twittering! Wink

cyb · 16/08/2010 22:02

hah! I know. I am making effort to be more on here now though. tis fun!

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 16/08/2010 22:03

Blardy slacker - missed you being on S & B. Boots thread is good.

cyb · 16/08/2010 22:05

Cheers, I missed it too-also am missing linking to AWFUL pics from Dm, like Jonnhy Vaughn looking like what can only be described as a heroin addict. AND Kelly Brooks stretch marked boobs

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 16/08/2010 22:10

DM is todally addictive. You get hooked in on one picture and then get compelled to look at the rest.

So - is this thread still hardcore? (sucks in tum) Is the tough love still being dished out?

Do you think Coco would bring back her cheesy wotsits and be the bad gal again? Found that very motivational tbh.

cyb · 16/08/2010 22:12

I think we can crank up the hardcore. I need to be able to say what I've eaten and feel smug but get slapped if I've transgressed.

Will you slap me?

I said

WILL YOU SLAP ME???

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 16/08/2010 22:18

Ooh that feels better - I'm so slaphappy you don't even need to transgress.

Now porker; NO sugar, NO bread, No puddings, No pasta, SMALL plates. IS THAT CLEAR?

Report in tommorrow morning with food consumption.

Do you thin the fishy one would resurrect Su Sylvester or is it too early for the Xmas slim down?

cyb · 16/08/2010 22:20

Oh she;s doing one on twitter dontcha know. She MIGHT cmome back on here I suppose-she has dallied with boot thread. I'll lure her back in with promises of corn thins

BudaisintheZONE · 17/08/2010 08:09

Hi all. Nice to see lots of 'old' faces!

Puppy is MUCH better thankfully. Thanks for all good wishes. I was really worried about her yesterday. She was so weak yesterday morning that she could barely lift her head up to drink. We just kept giving her water and she gradually perked up a bit. Vet came lunchtime-ish and gave her a couple of injections. She said she was slightly dehydrated and if vomiting and diarrahea continued would have to go in and be put on drip. Thankfully she didn't. Gave her rice yesterday around 5 and she kept it down. Rice again this morning which DH said she wasn't keen on but wolfed down when she realised it was all that was on offer! And she is back to tormenting older dog so I think she is fully recovered. Poor baby.

Managed to stick to zone yesterday. Am not drinking enough water though so need to tackle that today. Have no green tea left either so need to buy some.

DH at work today so dog walking not an option. Not happy leaving new puppy yet. So need to either use cross trainer which is in my depressing basement or do a DVD or WiiFit. I have Shred but am afraid to try it!

Welcome magentastardust. Sorry if I missed any other newbies. This post has taken forever to type as I keep getting interrupted!

Flyingcat - step away from the vending machine!!!!

Joby1970 · 17/08/2010 08:19
