Shaxx i have used food focus before and its a good way of tracking what you eat and what exercise you do.

I have to confess that where as i have zoned since the first i have had a treat of a few roses each night but yesterday took the freaking biscuit so i will confes to being an utter pig, a twork i stuffed myself full of chocolate kimberleys, 2 dohnuts chips and some sweets - i litteraly could not stop and it was because my friend left me the dohnuts with a note to say it was my last binge before WW (and binge i did). i feel really ashamed, but def back on track and looking forward to WW.

Going for a show around a wedding venue today and got a meeting with the priest tonight, so its all coming togethar.

Come on ladies - its a new year so we should be starting on a positive we will do this note, rather than a negative kick me I sinned note.

Draw a line under the biffing and DO NOT DO IT AGAIN.

Remember the mantra - nothing tastes as good as being slim feels - and what your goals are. Set yourself a goal - what weight do you realistically want to be in 6 weeks time (aim for a loss of 1 to 2lbs a week max) and see if you can achieve it. Post it on here if you want additional incentive. Throw out all processed stuff - remember, drink lots of water (at least 2 litres a day if possible), exercise every day if you can (walking/heavy cardio/running/weights/gardening - it all counts) and eat healthily (no sweets/processed crap) and mindfully (enjoy what you eat) and you will hit that goal. And designate your treat for hitting your goal now.

I'll start - I'm now 10 stone 8lbs. My goal is to get down to 10 stone 2 lbs by 14 February. My treat will be a massage pamper package DH kindly bought me.

Whose next?

Report
thedogwalker · 04/01/2011 17:24

Okay then, I am also 10st 8lbs and I am next going home to visit the family on 25 February, so just over 7 weeks away, (I live abroad and this will be first time I've been home since having the baby). I want to be 10 stone by that time.

My treat will be to buy some new clothes whilst in the UK, as German fashion is pants.

Shaxx · 04/01/2011 19:34

I am 11st 2lbs and I want to lose 10lbs by the end of the month. I am going hardcore Smile

My treat is also to buy new clothes - specifically holiday clothes for my holiday in half term.

I'm drinking lots of water, exercising 5-6 times a week and having a light dinner and nothing after 7pm.

Thanks justaminGrin.

Ok, I've done better today. I'm easing myself back in. Tomorrow should be even better. As I've been eating badly, I feel very tired and just can't summon up any energy for the shred. Again, will try tomorrow.

Thanks Shaxx for the food focus link. i've registered and think it will help.

I'm now 9st10 as of this morning. Would like to be 9st5 by end of the month when I go on holiday.

Shaxx, you sound really motivated-that's great. I just want to get back to how I felt before Christmas. If there was any doubt in my mind how crap it makes you feel when you biff, there is none now. I miss feeling energetic and healthy.

Ok i have just weighed in at WW and im 14st 8lb so im going to use this for my new start date. Also my goal is to lose 5% and be 13st 12lb by the feb half term as im going to try on some wedding dresses in glasgow with my mum and sisters.

With school back on im going to be walking loads more and alternating between shred, yoga and Wii just dance.

cant wait to get into it as i feel really sluggish from all the crap at christmas and newyear.

Report
Shaxx · 04/01/2011 21:08

It actually only takes a day or two of healthy eating and exercise to get your energy back and shrug off the sluggishness.

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? Signing up for ice skating lessons! Can't wait! Grin

Report
dinkystinky · 04/01/2011 21:13

Wow Shaxx - would love to learn to ice skate properly! Have fun Grin

Thinbride - you KNOW with us and WW behind you, you'll hit that goal.

I have given up alcohol for january and also caffeine for the first week of jan (if feeling like could do another week will do the same next week) - am drinking lots of water and green tea and am sure am burning off calories by having to trot off to the loo every hour or so Blush Hey ho, every little bit helps. Thinbride - give couch to 5k a go too if you can; the extra cardio will help shed those pounds.

Shaxx · 05/01/2011 09:57

Dinky well done for trying to give up caffeine! Thats one thing I cannot do. I love to have coffee in the mornings. I only ever drink a max of 2 cups a day so i'm sure its not that bad.
Lots of water will definitely help. I have filled up a jug and am planning to get through it today.

I signed up for ice skating afetr ds1 asked if I could take him when we saw the one at Winter Wonderland (Hyde Park) and I realised that theres no way I couldve done as I wasn't confident myself. Plus its brilliant exercise Smile

Good start to the day so far. Have shredded and had possidge for breakfast.

Be good everyone and remember your goals!

Report
Shaxx · 05/01/2011 09:58

Dinky im going o try couch to 5k but the roads here are leathal with ice at the min so gonna wait till it thaws a bit in a few weeks.

Well tis day 1 on WW and im enjoying it so far, going to do a meal plan for the rest of the week later so i can stock up when i go shopping.

Good luck thinbride, we are all routing for you so that you look the gorgeous bride Smile

Must admit I've felt really sluggish this last couple of days and I know I need to do more to feel better but I think my get up and go has got up and gone. Hoping to get the shred dvd in the post in the next few days and then I will start that in earnest. When the snow clears I can go out running again, before baby I was running 6 - 8 miles 3 - 4 times a week but stopped when i got preggers, idiot that I am. Will have to start at the beginning and just run short distances to start with, not looking forward to it as I will get annoyed with myself for letting my fitness slip so much but as Dinky syas start the year on positives, so I will go out running and I will feel better Grin

Hope everyone is having a good day and staying in the zone.

Take it easy when you go back to shredding iluv. I shredded on Monday having not done it for 3 or 4 weeks and ouch my thighs are killing. I whince in pain as I bend to sit on the loo Blush. I'm summoning up the courage to shred again tonight once dcs are in bed, contemplating doing a double session to make up for wimping out last night.

The talk of running has got me thinking about taking the couch to 5k back up again. I did about 6 weeks in the Autumn, really got into it and I never had myself down as a runner. I even treated myself to a nano but then I got scared Sad running in the dark. I ran past a bloke who was stood at a bus stop, he then started walking in the direction I was running, I crossed the road...so did he. I changed direction...so did he. I was near home so I cut my run short, it might have been nothing but I didn't like it and haven't been running since. Maybe in the spring I'll get back to it?

not doing too bad food wise today although I've just raided the dcs mini marshmallows so I've popped on here to catch up and stop myself going back for a second handful. Planning on leftover cold meat and salad tonight and the last slither of Christmas cake - Christmas will officially be over then Sad

Thanks for the tip justamin, going to try and do it tonight .

I know what you mean about the running thing-what a frightening thing to happen to you. As you say, it might have been nothing but you just don't know. I'm such a chicken, I don't even like running in the dayBlush-it's quite rural where we are.

Foodwise, I have done better today and have taken a leaf out of Shaxx's book and looked into something that I have always fancied doing-poledancing fitness classes!Blush. Have heard it's very good for core strength!

Report
Shaxx · 05/01/2011 19:53

Well done thinbride. Organisation is the key to dieting success, I think.

Justamin that is quite scary. I never run out in the streets on my own as I'm a bit nervous too. I usually just go to the park when its nice and light (then I'm scared of the dogs! Blush)

Oooh well done iluv! poledancing sounds brill. I'm sure its excellent for core strength and the thighs!

Good day today. I've kept to 1200 cals Smile

iluvcake · 05/01/2011 22:06

Well done Shaxx. You are my inspiration at the moment.

thinbride, how is the new points system with WW? Easy to follow?

I didn't shred as something wrong with my neck and didn't want to make it worse with jumping around. Did 25mins on the stepper instead.

Reformer pilates class tomorrow and boot camp class on friday so back into the exercise again. Feeling bit better and more motivated now.

Shaxx · 06/01/2011 09:40

Grin at being someones inspiration! Its a lot to live upto. I'd better prove my worth.

Well done on the exercise. Looks like you're back into it.

Shredded this am and had porridge for breakfast. Oatso simple winter pudding is really nice and only 127 cals a sachet. I make it with mostly water and a splash of milk.

I'm all signed up for ice skating and start next thurs. Woohoo Smile

Hi guys, remember me?

Just posting to let you know I'm still chugging on.

My dh started WW Propoints on Jan 1 and I started with him. So far so good. I'd gained 4lbs over Xmas and that's already gone. So really happy.

How's everyone doing?

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 06/01/2011 10:49

Hi encyclo, well done on losing your christmas lbs, hope fully i will have lost by next week as i started pro points on tuesday.

Im on day 2 and sticking to it, not done any exercise yet as just got back into the school run this week and its 1/2 hr there and back twice a day and 3 times on a mon wed, thur so going to start exercising next week.

Been up all night with my ds as he is full of the cold and could not sleep, so im shattered!

encyclogirl · 06/01/2011 11:06

Thinbride, I'm finding it very doable. Dh has 3+ stone to lose so I'm cheering him on a bit. Plus it's no harm for the entire family to get on a healthier plan.

The dc are fine weight and fitness wise, but I still think it's worth being healthier as a family, with the odd treat thrown in.

I went from 10' 6 to 9'4 before Christmas then kind of settled at 9' 5. Managed to put on 4lbs over Christmas but thankfully that's all sorted now.

Might push onto 9stone, as I'm finding the plan very workable.

justaminute · 06/01/2011 11:11

Welcome back Encyclogirl. Hopefully with dh signed up to WW you?ll be able to keep each other on the right track. My dh is a rake which is a pain when I?m trying to be careful.

Thinbride sorry to hear about ds ? it?s that time of year. If you are anything like me being tired usually leads to biffing so drink lots of water and be kind to yourself.

Amazingly my achy thighs are better today and I did levels 1 & 2 of the shred back to back last night (was hellish). Perhaps the answer is not to have a rest Confused

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 06/01/2011 11:39

Justamin i am admiring your Shred dedication! I have no energy to shred at the min, but hope too after a few more days healthy eating as i wont be so sluggish!

Encyclo, i have got about 3st 8lb to lose to be 11st then i will se how i feel at that weight and re asses.

The pole dancing and the ice skating sound great, a fun way to lose weight/stay trim. Will have to look around where I live and see if there are any classes in anything like that.

Got the shred dvd today and it is by the dvd player waiting to be used Grin, a bit nervous as I've no idea how low my fitness is now and I may be very disapointed with myself. justamin, you are an inspiration to do so much shredding...I will find the will power this afternoon to do it.

Hope everyone is having a good day and ready for weigh day tomorrow Smile

OMG, I've just done the 1st shred level, which is the first real exercise since having the baby 4 months ago. I'm Blush with exertion and Shock at my poor fitness. Well at least I've now started but I can't see me moving on to level 2 for ages.

Hope eveyone is having a great day.

In a wierd way thedogwalker level 2 is actually easier than level 1 - more cardio but it feels like its over quite a bit quicker if you see what I mean. However persevere and you'll find it much easier within a few days.
