Yes - call me Podge. I need the tough love, .

You're not half hearted! I go back to work in September and it is easier to be more disciplined then. Dammit I just need to get a grip.

I don't facebook - I'd be crap at it!

Hello
Back from anniversary dinner, confession time!

Main: Chicken on skewers with Salad, mushrooms with basamic vinegar, this should have been a starter but looked gorgeous. Sadly I had with 1 on DH's onion rings and handful of chips. Still better than could have been.

Had sticky toffee pudding for afters Blush but I had diet coke to drink no alcohol Confused

Is balsamic vinegar bad, I have never had it before Blush

Racmac, I wish I had been as good as you but if I am honest I would swap your morning snack as there are a lot of calories there with the pitta bread and Humous, what about yoghurt and piece if fruit?

kat - that sounds like good damage limitation. well done. vinegar good as it's not fatty.

cyb. curry. likely to be full of fat - coconut cream is riddled with it. and as for the naan.words almost fail me.

podge. never mind tomorrow is another day. back in zone now. even day by day thinking can lead to evening biffage.

racmac - I am hardcore when it comes to fat content because of cholesterol problems - mince can be surprisingly fat - use extra lean mince for spag bol. humous - be sparing. it's also v. fatty, though should be a lot of healthier unsat fats.

undertone - well done. wow at 5k run.

curry had 240 cals (plus naan prob about 100) so my conscience is al,ost clear!

Thanks Cyb. I stuck to it all day, but you know..day 3 only. I do sooo well for the first 2 weeks, then the bad carbs call to me.

I'm zoning now though.

Planning tomorrows lunch:

I roasted a spaghetti squash tonight and that's my carb. The sauce will be garlic tomato, a dash of olive oil and a teaspoon of feta cheese.

I never thought that spaghetti squash thing would work, but it does!

Tomorrow is another day. Thursday is a great day to start again :)

Gah! I left my lunch on the counter at home. In work now growling about it.

Hmmm, will have to brave Subway.

What can I get that won't do untold damage? Anyone know?

Kick me. Slap me. And kick me some more.

Yesterday's lunch biffage led to afternoon and evening biffage.

And I started today with a slice of white bread toasted with butter.

Blush

Aaargh.

Tomorrow's weigh in will be CRAP. And it's all my own fault.

Deep breath. Today still rescuable.

Took dog for walk after toast. 45 mins.

Have just had a sliced banana with some granola, extra pumpkin seeds, blueberries and natural yoghurt. Having a cup of tea. Will then switch to alternating green tea and water.

Lunch will be chicken and salad.

Dinner - DH is BBQing. So I will just have chicken and salad. It will be different to the chicken and salad for lunch!

Biffed Yesterday - went out with an old mate and had a fab night, real giggle - had a very spicy veggie burger than needed lashings of mayo to cool it down. So my no bread for past 3 months out window but I refuse to feel too bad as its a one off. But prepared for slap!

Today oats for breakfast, cottage cheese, cucumber and oatcakes for lunch and jacket pot with cheese, mushrooms, salad for dinner. Did good couple of hours at the gym this morning - interval running at 9 jog speed, 12.5 run for 20 mins. Didn't feel as bad as I expected so will probably push run speed to 13.5 next time. 1000 row and then hard weight reps followed by 15 mins of hard abs work.

Does anyone else have a couple of days in their cycle where they seem disproportionatly hungry? If so how do you deal with it?

Aaargh I am stuck at work instead of being at home shredding and then going on the cross trainer.

I just wanted to share my weirdly competitive angst in light of weigh-in tomorrow.

MAN UP BIFFERS.

Tibni - I seem to always have raging hunger on Mondays (probably to do with the amount of calories I burn at weekends as I go for longer runs). Not to do with my cycle (have implant - cycle shot to pieces). To make sure I don't biff out on Mondays throughout the day I always arrange that on Monday night I will have my tastiest most favourite evening meal of the week (low fat beef burgers with spicy salsa and fresh asparagis, for example). Then I look forward to it all day and focus all my hungriness/yearning on how great I will feel eating dinner. Does that make sense??

Thats for all the biffers (sorry, that was first slap and feel bad my aplogies)

I was soooooooooooooo good today (have been relativly good so i know im headed for a fall) i went on a 3 ish mile walk/hike with a friend and DC and im bloody shattered.

Breakfast- ready break with 1% milk and honey

Lunch- cheese sandwich (on little brown bread and only slivers of cheese, not other alternative as not been shopping)

snacks- mix of grapes, pineapple, strawberries and orange (picnic snacks)

Dinner- spagbol with small portion of pasta and 2 slices of eatsmart garlic bread (i know garlic bread is food of the devil, but i felt i earned it)

bought DP giant scones and cream, going to have to be really strong to resist.

Give me the will power - need motivation not to eat one!

I had a chocolate biff today (hangs head in shame) must be something in the water or weather etc. I rarely biff as well (gives self good shape and slap).

Encyclogirl - Subway is absolutely brill for slimming, as they have dietary info up on the counter and 6 subs under 6g of fat. So go for one of those, or if feeling self-indulgent go for the steak and cheese one (less than 10g fat) or the chicken tikka one - about 10 g of fat. Have plenty of salad but no sauce, and have it either on Italian or Wheat. DO NOT go for the meatball marinara, it's over 20g of fat.

Grr! Just did Shred level 1 and 2 back to back. Had to wimp out of 2nd set of chair squats/v raises and 2 set of pendulum lunges, and I had to have a break during plank jacks, but am feeling proud of myself.

Dinner is turkey breast and salad.

I AM ZONE.

Weigh in on Monday and I have loads of friends coming over on Saturday.

Well good morning on this weigh in day.
And Happy St Stephen's Day! (Public holiday here in Budapest - National Day - in honor of first king of Hungary, St Stephen. There endeth today's history lesson.)

Well yesterday continued to be crap even after my planning to be good. Forgot I had appt for hair colour, manicure and pedicure at 12. My car was in for repair and due to be ready in afternoon. They called at 11 and said it was ready and I needed to pick up before 2 as they were closing early for the holiday. So mad dash to get car and get to hairdressers. Didn't have time for lunch. Finally got home at 4.30 STARVING. Had cheese and chutney sandwich and 2 Oreos. Then neither DH nor I could face cooking so we ordered a curry. I didn't eat tonnes but I did have rice and naan and pappadoms.

But.

Weighed in and haven't gained. Haven't lost but haven't gained so am reasonably happy.

Have a friend arriving on Monday for a few days. She leaves Thursday and then am out Thursday night and then we are having a party on the Saturday. Next week will be HARD!

Ilythia - so sorry about MIL. Horrible. We went through similar with FIL.

Well done all of you who have been good and slaps all round for those of us who haven't!
