Corn silk i used to love a chocolate fountain untill i realised you had to put oil in it to make the chocolate flow (put me right off!).

I have been 85% good all week (no treats but some meals were prob over on the portion size) and last night i had a night off as went to my friends and we had wine and nibbles.

I weigh in on a sunday, do you all have a set weigh day?

Undertone · 14/08/2010 08:17

Friday is weigh-and-post-on-here day. But I do sneakily check weight on Mondays as well.

I was REALLY BAD yesterday. Not only did I not do any exercise, but my evil friend roped me into going out on the town to have loads of wine and chips. Would you believe me if I said she literally FORCED me to dip all my chips in garlic mayo?

Now have hangover and corresponding hangover munchies. I just want a trough full of carby crap I can just bury my face in.

Don't worry. There's no crap in the house. Maybe I can trick myself into thinking that a tomato is actually a hash brown? If I want it badly enough? :)

Morning all! Was up at 5.15 with puppy. DH normally gets up as he tends to wake anyway but I heard her so got up and took both dogs out into the garden. Assumed DH would be up soon. Heard a noise from above and he opened the window, said "Oh - you're up. I'll go back to bed." Was NOT my plan! Oh well.

Feeling VERY virtuous this morning. Dinner was not good though. I forgot to take salmon out of freezer for planned dinner and all we had was some cooked pork from the night before so DH made Thai fried rice with the pork. It was yummy but not in zone. However. I stayed up watching TV after DH and DS went to bed and I kept thinking of nice things that i could eat. There is a mini Magnum in the freezer and we brought a load of chocolate back from UK etc etc. So. It's all there. What did I have???? NOTHING. Zilch. Zero.

Kept remembering our mantras. Will it make me happy? Will it still be there when I am skinny? And most importantly, Put down the crap you fat biffer!

Undertone - poor you on the hangover! Any protein in the house? Have some substantial protein and lots of fluid.

Mamamiafigario - weigh in is Friday as Undertone said. I also weigh on a Monday. I find Friday weigh in is great for seeing the results of being good in the week and also focusing mind on sticking to plan at least a little over the weekend. Monday weigh in lets me see what if any damage I have done over weekend!

teflon - glad you smiled at my comment!

cornsilk - a chocolate fountain????? Not good!

Hi to everyone else!

OK did not realise the weigh in was fri, I weighed today and im still 14st 4lb so i will move to a friday and report back, i also used to do a pre weigh in mid week to check on progress.

Dose any one here do Zumba? At the mo its the only exercise i do apart from lots of walking as i dont drive.

DP is off out tonight and im in with the kids and this is where i would prob buy a load of goodies and watch a film, but i going to be good and study for a couple of hours and then watch a film with healthy fruit/veg type snacks if i want some.

Any ideas for a healthy dinner tonight? just me and the kids (2 and 5 ).

Can i join? I am 11st 5 but only 5ft 1 Sad i am trying to set little goals so currently aiming for 11 stone and when i get there i will set another mini goal.

I have yoyo dieted all my adult tlife and the only one that worked was Slimming world but i got bored in the end and quit, now there is a new consultant who isnt very nice.

So im doing by myself just trying to cut down on the amount of junk food i eat and snack on fruit and veg instead and excersise every day even if its just for 20 mins a day, i have Just Dance for the Wii which im enjoying i am also going to be starting Panto season again soon so will be lots of frolicking on stage until Christmas.

Is there any particular plan your all following or is this a 'just stop eating crap and mover more' thread? Grin

Hello everyone im home!

Good to see all the new people on the new thread. Look forward to catching up soon.

I been baaad. My transgression involved crisps. And bread. And cheddar.

But you should see the size of run I'm going to make myself do tomorrow...

In other news, was shopping with mum all day and comfortably fit into size 16 M&S jeans (stretchy - the ones which sit on waist, not hips). Woo. I've fit into size 16 dresses/tops/skirts the last month or so, but not trousres.

I want to be a 14 by November. What do you think of my chances?
Report
tibni · 14/08/2010 22:32

wow well done undertone - bet you feel great in those jeans. Let them be the motivator to reject the bread and cheddar to get that size 14.

I start again having had biscuits and chippy tea today - but I was still on holiday! Penance at the gym tomorrow.

Morning all on this hot and sticky Sunday! Well it is here anyway! Rained earlier and is very humid outside now.

Undertone - size 16 jeans!!!! Wow! Take a bow!!!! And yes - you will DEF be a 14 by November.

I was bad yesterday but it was a considered choice. Usually have a social event that I know will mean I will not be in Zone at some stage at weekend but not this weekend so just decided to semi relax yesterday. Breakfast and lunch were still zone but had a couple of biscuits in afternoon and then last night had icecream and some tortilla chips and that last pesky mini Magnum! Back on track today having enjoyed my indulgences.

hello again ladies. Lost just under 3 stone, 2 stone more to go.

titsalina - I count calories and fat grams. And try and exercise a bit most days.

undertone - well done on the jeans, am sure if you keep exercise along with anti biffing you will get to 14 soonish. I want to lose another stone by 31st October, its a colleagues wedding, and I want to look hot at the evening do.

Hi can I join, I have been lurking or a while, just back from hols, was very good avoided all bread and chips if you don't count the odd one pinched from DD's plates Blush Lost a few pounds before hols but weight loss is so slow. Stopped eating bread in April and only slipped up twice and once was last night as DH bought home some fresh baked loaf, I could of killed him!

So I am hoping to get new food ideas and realise I need to exercise although my hips and back are still dodgy from DD2 21mths.

Would like to loose 9lbs to be back to myself. I know its not a lot but it does not make it any easier so I hope its ok to tag on?

Coolkat Smile

Welcome coolkat - a few months on here should help you with those 9lbs, no problem.

Thanks all for messages of size 14 belief. It's like some kind of holy land.

IS size 14 the threshold of 'kind of looking OK in a bikini', or should I wait to be a size 12? I was surprised at how OK I looked in the full-length multi-angled mirror in M&S yesterday. Still got back hamsters, love handles and a dimply bum/thigh combo, but not the luxuriant folds and rolls I used to hide have.

I have stretchmarks on my hips. But who gives a toss about stretchmarks?

When I was in my late teens I was a bit self-involved and not very happy. I have scars on my upper legs and I think I would be most self-conscious about getting those out on a beach.

Report
tefloncoatedarmbow · 15/08/2010 15:13

being very good so far today, and am going to do my davina dvd later.

everyone has got stretch-marks somewhere undertone.

How about a nice funky sarong to hide the marks on the tops of your legs? Or i love that beach look when you wear a bikini top and a long wafty maxi skirt to hide all sins - it looks really "California living" and laid back IMO.

Undertone · 15/08/2010 16:46

Yes - if I ever do book a beach holiday for next year I will be patronising the full extent of long, floaty things to cover me up!

Did 8km run a few hours ago. Now trying to summon enthusiasm to clean flat from top to bottom, as is definitely starting to resemble a slum.

What's the Davina DVD like? How long is it, and does it focus on any certain bits? Do you get as sweaty as with Jillian?

Undertone well done on the 16 jeans! Im currently aiming to lose a dress size as i am a 16 too at the mo. I think i will be positivly over the moon if i was a 14, and thats only 1 size up from my holy grail...a 12!

I really need to up the exercise ante me thinks, got a long walk planned tomorrow and i have Sky+ a yoga for beginers thing on feel good tv or something to that effect?

Im thinking of ordering that 30 day Shed, is it any good? Also just off to amazon to order from Pig to Twig as i have hears thats good?

And you are right, no one gives A HOOT about anyone else's bikini body. I had 2 weeks ion Portugal and can't rememebr anyone else I saw, fat thin or in between. A couple of the blokes had hairy backs and HUGE pouches though

Hello, may I join you ladies - I like the idea of straight talking!

(thinks about passing round the biscuits and thinks better of it, hands round the carrot sticks instead making sure only those with calories/ points remaining for the day take any...)

I'm currently at 12st 12 having started at 16st 5 in January. Following the, don't eat crap and do decent amounts of exercise plan with some success so far. Ultimate aim is 10st 5 to get to a healthy BMI. Had particular success by going on a weight loss boot camp back in April and about to go on another one (wish me luck I'll need it, it's going to be hell!)

Congrats to undertone on the size 16, I know how that feels - actually had an amazing moment of having to put the size 16s back on the rail as too big recently - I've not been a size 14 since I was 15! I found 16 to 14 went a lot quicker than 18 to 16 so November will be very doable.

Best luck and self control vibes to all.
