rosemary conleys fat free diet works brilliantly and theres so much food to eat..too much to be honest!! and recently i did a detox for 6 weeks, cutting out all wheat and sugar[fructose..fruit sugar is allowed] and could eat what i wanted otherwise and lost weight without really trying and felt a lot more energetic and cleaner , im convinced its the wheat so i`m trying to keep off it anyway as it makes me feal sluggish after eating it ..

dabihp · 01/09/2005 14:27

I will start a recipe thread for usefull healthy recipes.

hello i'd like to join too. i have just weighed myself for first time since booking in with midwife and baby is now 4 months! i am 14.5stone aaaaargh, should be 11 i think. i have no willpower whatsoever although i did have some half fat cottage cheese for lunch.

NoPearls · 01/09/2005 19:15

Can I join too? Same as Sweetbean today - 11 stone 12. Boots machine said I would be 10 stone 12 if large build or 10-3 if medium build, so have about a stone/stone and a half to get rid of. Got down to 11 before but never managed to get under that since birth off DD. Used to be 10-7.

EvesMama-don't feel like that love. Forget what you ate today and just start tomorrow (but don't pig out all evening!!). Every time you have a bad day just start again and you will get there. I ate loads of birthday cake on dd3's 1st birthday a few weeks ago and felt really ashamed of myself but I did manage to get back on track the next day.

EvesMama · 01/09/2005 20:49

today when i woke up i had(one of my many down falls) a huge bowl of mini bix(honey & nut) and a pint of s.s milk with nesquick banana milkshake powder.
then about 10am id popped to tesco for milk and bread..so we went into cafe and i bought a cheese and sausage panini..felt very sick and unwell all day after that
next had half a garlic baguette and a ready meal for tea with a orange 2 finger kit kat.
lastly..sat with dd before bed and munched some grapes with her.
dp just been to shop and asked if i wanted anything about 6 times and each time said no..but i 'DO'..and i dont want to 'want' all this crap

EvesMama · 01/09/2005 20:49

the milkshake and cereal was separete..reads a bit odd that one

dabihp · 01/09/2005 20:51

yummmmmm... kitkat fingers.... no, er, thats not in thsspirit of things! lol, i mean yummm - grapes!

EvesMama · 01/09/2005 20:54

thing is thought, ive been telling my gp for months now that i am being 'GREEDY' with food for about the last year and although i love my food, i have never 'wanted' it as much as i do recently..i cant say no

KateF · 01/09/2005 20:55

Train dp not to ask you if you want anything!

EvesMama · 01/09/2005 20:57

ok, see what you think of this(ill be doing it..no pressure for anyone else too)

im gunna do antoher thread..am gunna 'introduce' myself and hopefully shame myself into knowing that anyone lurking can read how obese i am..then each week...ill (hopefully) be able to change the weight..i also want to do it so i can log my food each day and didnt want to bore people on this thread if they are not wanting to know

i will still be here, but need to set up my little eating diary to help me

hope this is ok..am not being an as

EvesMama · 01/09/2005 20:58

thing is we recently(b4 move) both lost weight and we were doing really well..he's put about 7lb back on and ive put over a stone back on

EvesBigFatMama · 01/09/2005 21:08

sorry, think ive over stepped the mark..didnt mean to be funny, and 'take' from this thread..sorry

KateF · 01/09/2005 21:12

Hey - ease up on yourself! I don't think you should be ashamed, at least you're willing to do something about it. Would dp join you on a diet? Mine has reluctantly and although he's a bit hit and miss he has lost half a stone.

EvesBigFatMama · 01/09/2005 21:14

think he would, but he really doesnt need to..yes we all need to eat healthilly, but he just needs excersize i think..he just has a paunch and dd's nick name it Tin Ribbs so she's got his genes thank god!

sanchpanch · 01/09/2005 21:14

well i have always wanted to lose weight, and be the size i was when i met dp, (size 14), then he left me 2 months ago, so i guess that has spured me into much needed action, i no longer want to live my life this size, so i have been eating healthy and trying to respect my body for the first time in my life!!!!
And it will also show him what he is missing!!!!!

EvesBigFatMama · 01/09/2005 21:17

the 'thing' that hit me other than the scales, was looking at old piccys at my mums last week..she's big now and aslo has diabetes because of her weight..but when she was my age, she had a 28 inch waist..why cant i be slim now when i should be and put weight on like she did late on..yes i know i should stop eating crap, that'd do it..but i am fed up of picking up clothes from Evans and saying..oohh, these havent been made properly..very skimpy..have to get a bigger size!

KateF · 01/09/2005 21:23

My mum has yoyo dieted as long as I can remember. I do not want my girls to see me doing that so the fat has to go now for ever. I was shocked into starting this diet when I saw myself in dd3's christening photos. Wish I could have her christened again with me looking nice
