Everyone welcome - we are all friends here.

Some starting the journey, some already reached their goal, all sharing the ups and downs along the way.

SW 24st 9lbs
CW 15st 11bs
Total loss 8st 12lbs

Had a bit of a whoosh this week and dropped 3.5lbs so taking me to my lightest on this journey, and back below where I was at the end of July.

Feels like the frivolities of summer are over so can focus properly. My weight loss is obviously noticeable now, although I still want to lose a bit more, but I “confessed” to some friends last week I have been using MJ. Previously I had told them I had just been drinking more water, not snacking and generally eating more healthily. I didn’t say anything previously for fear of being judged but they were so supportive and genuinely excited for me.

I feel like I can get to where I want to be now, which has been missing for a couple of months. I’m also about to start on the creatine and collagen to boost my body as well.

I was looking back at photos that I’ve taken over my journey and realised that I never saw myself as big as I really was, I think avoiding full-length mirrors and all photos helped with that so those photos were a real wake -up call at the start, and even subsequent photos where I’d lost a few stone still showed me bigger than I thought I had been. Now the photos are actually showing me smaller than what I imagined I looked like for the first time. It really is strange what our mind does to us.

Just one thing I’ve noticed this week that isn’t a positive, I used to love a long soak in the bath to relax and would top up the hot water so could stay in longer, but I have less padding on my bottom now so it isn’t as comfortable for the long periods of time! Also noticed this when sat on some hard chairs!

We have an armchair that I sit in curled up every day now. We’ve had it about 4 years and I’ve never fit in it but now there’s enough room for me and a dog to curl up in. I love it! 😍

That's what makes it all worthwhile pearl, like the little things that a normal sized person takes for granted, mean so much to us ,when we finally get there xx

Oh wow! Well done on your loss. I’m about 2 stone less than your starting weight and 6 weeks into MJ. Currently on 5mg. How long did it take you to get to 15st?

I'm actually doing really well.
Everything is back to normal.
I've sent my two Zimmer frames back to physio.

Yes, husband has been visiting and has been taking the cats to their appointments (which are 15 miles away, so very useful).

The annoying wet lettuce of a man who kept coming round and trying to start a relationship with me has been totally ignored. He seems to have got the message.

Thanks @Foolish1984, I started at the beginning of April last year, so has been quite a long journey so far, but I think that is the case for all of us in here due to how far we have to go. The weight came off quite quickly to start, after the first couple of weeks it settled to a stone every 6 weeks but is slower now and I do have some small gains as well whereas initially I lost something every single week without fail.

I’ve lost a similar amount to you and found the same thing. I was 23st 2lbs when I started in November 2025. I’m now a smidge under 15st but I’ve not lost anything for a couple of weeks. We must not lose sight of how far we’ve come though 🙌

PearlsTeapot · 14/09/2026 20:48

Me too, @user593 I sat at 15 stone for months! It's like my body was happy there. I'm having to eat a lot less to get the scales moving again, now down to 14.9 but that's only from really eating mindfully less.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne so glad you're doing better. Had us all worried for a while there about you!

TragicMuse · 14/09/2026 21:23

I’m so glad you’re doing well Broon!

Springflowers2 · 15/09/2026 15:26

I'm till swinging between 14,9 and 15 stone .
This Prozac has been an utter disaster for my eating chocolate
It eased of a bit ,then came back with a vengeance
I only took it for 11 days and it's caused havoc with my system.
I can't see while I'm having such awful cravings for chocolate, that I'm going to loose weight .
I think I'm going to have to write this month of in terms of weight loss ,and just be thankful I didn't put any on

AlicesMum2025 · 15/09/2026 15:50

Hi all, I have big news!!!!

I have now lost 50% of my starting bodyweight. I'm literally half the person I was at the start of May 2025. I now weigh less than the amount of weight I've lost.

Absolutely incredible. I almost can't believe it. When I saw the number on the scale I screamed so loudly that I scared my dog - oooops.

~5kg to normal BMI and ~10kg to goal. (Although I just discovered that I'm shorter than I thought so I may need to revise those numbers down, but for now I'm sticking with them.)

@AlicesMum2025 what an amazing achievement, well done, so close to your end goal too!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/09/2026 18:29

Well done @AlicesMum2025 that's amazing.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/09/2026 18:31

Right I've got to the end of my 15mg pen which doesn't have a bonus dose.

There was an additional 0.4ml of MJ after I'd extracted 4 x 0.6ml doses.

That's half of the usual bonus dose, which in my experience was 0.8ml of MJ.

So I got another 10mg out of the pen.

PearlsTeapot · 15/09/2026 20:53

@AlicesMum2025 what an amazing achievement, I'm thrilled for you!

Hi losers!

I've been at 80kg since May - and the scales in the last week or so have FINALLY moved. I've really locked into the final few kgs because I am running out of pens, I only have 2 more, then I'm on the WG pill (really hope it works).

I'm just at a dirty spoons 😁 and I always get a coffee from the coffee machine, and there are two machines very close together tucked into a corner. Anyway, today, I was standing at one machine with my cup being filled up, and someone came to the other machine and filled theirs up!!!

At 23 stone, when I stood here, no one ever came to the other machine, either I took up so much space or what, but they always just waited their turn. I remember always squashing myself to the side, to give someone the space to use the other machine if they wanted to, but no one ever did.

It also reminds me of people who give larger people LOADS of space. Like if you're walking down a narrow pavement, so many times someone would stand at the side "after you" so I could go. What annoyed me is that there was plenty of space for both of us, so I wonder if it was a polite thing, or they don't want to accidently bump me, or just in general they assumed I would take up the whole pavement? I don't know but it's these little things, that now as a size 14, I don't get. Maybe it wasn't a polite thing because that same space, someone will happily walk or brush past me now😬

These NSV are messing with my head now! I'm second guessing everything!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 16/09/2026 11:16

Hi everyone. It's been a while. I've had a lot going on. But I'm still here, chipping away at it. Still on just 2.5 mg but am starting to contemplate going up. I have a really good loss, then lose focus and lose 100 g. I'm going to try to get more sleep, but if it doesn't help, up I go.

Arghh! After over a year medicine marketplace have reviewed my GP record and seen I have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder (6 years ago) and cancelled my pens.

I’m shitting myself in case nobody will prescribe to me now.

Can anyone recommend a good supplier please? Doesn’t have to be the cheapest, just decent. I usually order every 6 weeks but I can go more regularly.

Mounjaro - 10 stone or more to lose - Thread 15.
SilenceInside · 16/09/2026 18:26

@PearlsTeapot I would probably suggest Swift Doctor as they are doctor-led and let you order 6 to 8 weeks after the previous order. I think, well at least it's my understanding, that a doctor-led pharmacy can be more nuanced about prescribing than a pharmacist led team. But that could be wrong!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 16/09/2026 19:19

@PearlsTeapot New Health didn't seem overly scrupulous when I ordered from them recently, they are cheap (at least for first order) and they have just sent me an email to say my repeat prescription is ready to order but if I take longer than 8 weeks to place it I'll have to explain why, so sounds like they are OK with order gaps.

PearlsTeapot · 16/09/2026 20:43

Thank you both. I've ordered from them both, I could do with a spare pen anyway as I currently have no spare in the fridge which is unlike me, so hopefully they'll both be approved!

ETA: New Heath just emailed to say I’m approved. That was incredibly quick and easy!

I had a bit of a omg I'm gonna have to come off mj panic when I posted earlier but hopefully there's enough pharmacies out there too lazy to check my NHS record 😆
