Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Day 1 here. Mild nagging headache and nausea on and off but definitely on since having dinner. Had a small portion of chicken and pea curry with brown rice and steamed broccoli. Around half of what is usually ear. Tried literally a bite of watermelon for pudding and was hot with a wall of nausea. Toddler bedtime is about to get interesting.

No real reduction in hunger yet.

SkinnySummer · 13/07/2026 19:37

Day 2 has been more of the same for me - haven't really noticed anything different and still thinking about food constantly. Trying very hard to stick to 1200 calories, which is easier than usual purely because I'm determined not to waste money now 😂

My stomach was doing some crazy things at bedtime last night and it's just started again now - lots of gurgling and churning, and I'm extremely bloated which is never usually a problem for me. Despite that I am also really hungry.

What I dont know is what to eat while taking it? Is there a guide?

I’ve been trying to limit my calories so I’m using MyFitnessPal to track. Trying to up my protein. ChatGPT was quite helpful when I put all my details and pictures of what I ate, told it I was on wegovy and it made suggestions.

@Bigminnie1 it won’t help with the emotions but it will stop you from being able to anaesthetise yourself with food, I have heard. A buddy of mine was recently very funny complaining that she didn’t know what to do with herself when her boss drove her mental any more because if she ate more than one biscuit she felt sick …

Having said that, I’m on day 6 and so far it hasn’t occurred to me to eat for anything other than “oh it’s mealtime , why yes I am hungry” which makes me feel like someone completely different.

Thank you .
Has anyone else experienced their emotional eating lessening?

Yetanotherone12 · 13/07/2026 22:11

I find I am coping with hunger more easily. My stomach rumbles, but I just cba 🤣

i am also finding I’m more balanced, and have less “food guilt”. I wanted something sweet earlier so I had it. No battling with should I, calculating the calories, debating whether I should substitute with something healthier. I know I’m not overeating, and I know I can just have the treat without triggering a massive binge. It’s odd.

i am not sure if it’s psychological though. It does co-incide with the start of my cycle when I usually do have good control of my diet, it’s the week before my period it all goes to shit and I don’t ever feel satiated. So give it a couple of weeks and see 🤣. Another reason I decided on the pills as my cycle is going a bit wonky now and the “all you can eat” sessions have gone from a couple of days to a week or more.

TakeThon · 13/07/2026 23:00

Ooh can I join? Perimenopause can do one (I once ate 4 wispas in a row). I’m on the 4mg dose and my clothes are feeling slightly looser

PillPoppin · 13/07/2026 23:28

I'm on Day 11 and I've lost a whole half a stone! 4 lbs of it have been yoyo weight but 3 new lbs?! I'm delighted! I haven't really been keeping tag on calories, I just eat what I want and stop when I begin to feel full. It's almost like the times I used to listen to Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin back in around 2004 have finally kicked in and boom! But sorry, Paul McKenna, you didn't!

This is really motivating to hear 🤗 well done!

Fightingmydoctor · 14/07/2026 07:39

Day 2 was amazing. Went all day on 2 hardboiled eggs and a cheese and pickle sandwich, finally ate a meal at 7pm and i would have normally been hangry and close to fainting, unable to function. I also feel like shit day-to-day, so fatigued, i have a daily nap and still will be asleep by 9pm - yesterday i felt clear headed, energy, was happily up past 10pm no issues like a normal adult.

Something was definitely on the blink with my blood sugar control and this pill seems to have fairly instantly fixed it.

Also, still enjoying food, which i'm relieved about, just not held to ransom by it!

HurrahforHollywood · 14/07/2026 09:33

Ive just ordered them so hope I have the nerve to stick with it.

Thehumblesmidge · 14/07/2026 11:56

This seems to be going well for me. Only day 2 but where I could easily join the family in a large stack of pancakes with maple syrup, I had one small scotch pancake with a little butter on it and immediately knew I couldn’t eat anything else. It’s not placebo as it’s a very obvious feeling. The minute I finished the last bite I knew I couldn’t physically touch any more.

SparkleforChristmas · 14/07/2026 12:42

Great to hear motivating stories so far. I'm up at 5am tomorrow for work , lots of travelling so starting Thurs. Still awaiting package from Royal Mail anyhow.

Love this! Day 2 for me and just don't seem to be so fussed around food. I also used to listen to Paul McKenna and am hoping to embed those strategies of slowing down my eating and stopping before I'm stuffed. Hopefully this will make it easier to maintain once I'm off the pills.

ThatJadeLion · 14/07/2026 13:27

Got my tablets. But waiting for neurologist to ok it as well as I have (well controlled) epilepsy. Really hope I can start the medication soon.

Saludable · 14/07/2026 13:34

I’ve got mine and I could have started this morning but felt unexpectedly apprehensive. I was desperate to start yet now I’m too afraid to!

I felt exactly the same, ordered on 10th July, they came today, I was thinking leave it till tomorrow, I just had to do it, took my first pill and looking forward. Good luck to everyone

Yetanotherone12 · 14/07/2026 15:55

If it helps I’m on day 7 and feel no different at all.

i’m just not as hungry 🤷‍♀️. Lost 3lbs this week, without “dieting”, just eating like I normally would but less.

still unsure whether it’s placebo, hot weather, just a natural lull in my appetite. But no drama.

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 14/07/2026 16:03

I’m on day 5. One fascinating thing I have noticed is that I can now happily ignore “bad” foods I would have picked at before. One example is a bag of haribo. My mum bought my kids a big bag last week which I am quite strict about and the kids are allowed like 4 or 5 at a time. Before, I would have picked at it (and had to replace it lol, yes I am a hypocrite 🤣) but it just really hasn’t appealed since the pills. I feel hungry at mealtimes but it is a genuine empty stomach rather than needless eating that I used to think was hunger.

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 14/07/2026 16:07

Also! Just got the kids home and they grabbed an ice cream from the freezer…. I didn’t fancy one?!? I had a weak glass of squash instead. Who even am I 😅

anomymetoo · 14/07/2026 16:35

Hello everyone, my daughter is keen to try these as not able to face injections. Could you please tell me who offers the best price? It's a nightmare having to go through all the eligibility stuff. TIA

SilenceInside · 14/07/2026 16:47

@anomymetoo there is a site called https://ogovy.co.uk/ that has a price comparison list. I've added a screenshot in case you can't access the site.

Currently the cheapest company is Bolt with up to £70 off first orders new customer discount making the first month £49 (depending on how long you sign up for). Bear in mind that Bolt operate a subscription model, and you will automatically be charged for the second month unless you cancel. It will be at least £119 for the second month depending on dose.

Thanks for this, interesting re subscription, and good to know. Do people switch around to get the best prices?

SilenceInside · 14/07/2026 17:39

@anomymetoo lots of people do shop around each month. If you swap to another pharmacy, the online consultation form will ask if you are already taking weight loss treatments, and if so, which one and what dose. You then will be asked to provide evidence of that, the usual way is to upload a photo of the prescription label on the medication box, as that shows your name, the date, the medication and the dose.

Solasum · 14/07/2026 17:55

Day 3. Today I have eaten a slice of avocado toast, a tomato and one slice of bread, a few cherries, 2 Babybel, a small portion of pesto chicken, roasted cauliflower and rice. Much less than I usually would. I know logically I need to eat but am not even slightly hungry, and sweet cravings are just gone. I even went to corner shop and had no desire to buy chocolate. I don’t see how it can really work so fast, but if it is psychological only, it is definitely still working.

No more nausea thank goodness

I think I’m just going to stick with Bolt for ease and it’s one of the cheapest
