Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

That's day 1 done... I'm absolutely starving!
No effects yet, good or bad, which is what I expected at this early stage really. I've logged 1300 calories today in protein meal replacement shakes, yogurt and fruit, and the classic "massive salad" with chicken. I need to stop now, but the urge for an evening binge is strong. Might just go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I'll discover that I am one of the early responders after all 😅🤞

Thehumblesmidge · 12/07/2026 20:07

Can some people not respond to it at all?

I felt a bit nauseous and headache on day 1. Are you drinking enough? I’m on day 3 and was better today.

it seems to be passing now thankfully. Felt awful for a couple of hours. Just worried i might feel like it at work tomorrow 😢

Seashell96 · 12/07/2026 21:33

Hi everyone - joining the topic! I’m currently on day 5. First few days were pretty easy, no symptoms and off food a little. Day 3 absolutely hit me, hardly eating have to force food down me and I feel so sick. I honestly feel like I’m pregnant and have constant morning sickness (I’m not!) is anyone else in the same boat? I’m so close to giving up but I’ve only just started!

IfIHadAHeart · 12/07/2026 22:44

Day 2 for me. I felt sick after taking the first one yesterday, lasted an hour or two. I ate fairly normally yesterday, and thought I still felt ravenous all day, like that proper empty tummy hungry. I actually wonder if it was more of an acid/heartburn feeling though as my tummy was clearly not empty!!

Today has been better. No nausea and I’ve not felt particularly hungry all day. I’ve eaten, but no snacks which is usually my downfall. I have about 3 stone to lose really.

Bigminnie1 · 13/07/2026 03:51

Will the pills help with emotional eating? I veer between eating too much as I am always hungry and eating and eating emotionally- tired/grumpy/happy…

AprilFlowersMay · 13/07/2026 05:19

@Bigminnie1 it won’t help with the emotions but it will stop you from being able to anaesthetise yourself with food, I have heard. A buddy of mine was recently very funny complaining that she didn’t know what to do with herself when her boss drove her mental any more because if she ate more than one biscuit she felt sick …

Having said that, I’m on day 6 and so far it hasn’t occurred to me to eat for anything other than “oh it’s mealtime , why yes I am hungry” which makes me feel like someone completely different.

G1nF1zz · 13/07/2026 08:45

I'm on day two. Slight headache yesterday but that could have been the heat and I drank plenty of water. Only felt hungry around 4 but that was it.
I went with voy. I wanted something with extra support. They have online sessions for on boarding, nutrition, mindset etc.

Solasum · 13/07/2026 10:26

Day 2 here, and distinctly nauseous on a long journey with my boss 😱

I have a funeral in the heat the end of the week....praying i dont get the squits in the graveyard 😫😫😫

TheMasterplan23 · 13/07/2026 10:54

Day 5 here and no side effects.
Saturday night and I was at the pub watching the football and I only had one glass of wine….i just didn’t fancy it! Normally I’d have 5/6 large glasses and a few G&T.

I definitely felt less hungry. I realised yesterday that I’d got to 1.30pm and not even thought about lunch. Usually I’m planning what I’ll have by 10am!

Really happy so far!

Thehumblesmidge · 13/07/2026 11:22

Day one. I’ve taken the pill this morning and I’m excited for it but also terrified of nausea/vomiting. Summer holidays looking after a 4 year old and nausea are not a good combination. Husband working full time so it’s just me and the kid all day long! Very worried about feeling dreadful on a day trip or at the swimming pool 😬

devfire · 13/07/2026 11:26

Ive just ordered the lowest dose from Bolt, awaiting delivery, Im 5ft 2 & 71kg the heaviest Ive ever been, I wasn't this heavy when pregnant! Im hoping to lose 10kg over a few months.

devfire · 13/07/2026 11:28

What I dont know is what to eat while taking it? Is there a guide?

The recommendation is lighter meals but more often. So not 3 big heavy meals of fatty food. I’m worried about nausea and the Voy app said fatty or spicy are going to make nausea worse. I like their AI chat as you can ask questions like this and get suggestions etc. It recommends I keep a light snack with me when out and about.

I do wonder how it will affect enjoyment of food. I absolutely love a big plate of chilli or curry 😅

SilenceInside · 13/07/2026 11:36

@devfire Bolt should have information about a healthy diet available to you either on their website, or via email or some other form of communication. When you get the tablets, there will be a patient information leaflet that will explain how to take it. That involves fasting for 8 hours beforehand, and then not eating or drinking anything else for at least 30 minutes.

There are no specific requirements about what to eat, other than a calorie controlled diet. Eat a normal healthy diet. You may find that you go off sugary things and highly processed carbs/fatty food to some degree.

Fourlemons · 13/07/2026 11:37

Day 2, no side effects yet but already noticing I don't feel as interested in food this morning as I normally would be. I don't know how much of that is because I know I'm taking a pill, but either way I don't care!

LuckyCharmz · 13/07/2026 11:41

Day 5, definitely still have an appetite and sugar cravings. Following lowish carb/ high protein. Have ‘successfully’ dieted many many times so know what to do, just hoping it will make things less of a struggle and more able to keep if off this time.

LouisaMayAlcott · 13/07/2026 15:08

Day 6 here. I really have no interest in food. I’m having to remind myself that I need to eat and I’m just making sure that at least I have protein and fruit. I’m probably eating about half of what I normally do and miraculously have no desire to raid the biscuit tin which I am prone to do a lot!

applecharlotte · 13/07/2026 15:13

Really interesting to read other peoples experiences so far...

things I've noticed (only on day 3):

less interested in coffee (previously would have 3 strong coffees in the morning)
thought of eating fatty foods makes my stomach flip a bit, not nausea, just an aversion to
generally not feeling hungry but knowing to eat as tummy rumbles
no decline in energy levels (but not really fancying exercise/activity beyond walking
Not keen on snacking at all
no side effects apart from a bit of constipation

All good, however, I do feel by 6pm I'm ready for a proper dinner and the suppression wears off. This could be the danger time!

What I dont know is what to eat while taking it? Is there a guide?

you can pretty much eat anything.

the general advice is to eat smaller meals more often as wld slow gastric transit time so if you attempt to eat big meals you may exacerbate the side effects such as nausea.

i am trying to eat low fat and have cut out alcohol as the most concerning side effect for me is the pancreatitis, so hoping that will reduce the chance of that happening.

I am veggie so don’t naturally eat high protein so am trying to up that a bit.

but otherwise I am eating as normal. Just finding it strange not having to battle the calories.

day 6 for me as well. More hungry today and yesterday, but still eating a fair bit less and within calories. Might start Mondays as weigh in day. Lost a pound so far, better than nothing…

snoopydoopydo · 13/07/2026 18:07

Day 1 for me today. Woke up at 5am, took it and then fell back to sleep until 7am. So far, no side effects but my goodness, I have not thought about food at all. I had a homemade smoothie at 11am and I've just had a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese as I panicked that I'd not eaten anything. Cooking a paneer curry for this evening, so will have a decent dinner.
If you are around a week in, how's it going for you?

Solasum · 13/07/2026 19:16

Day 2 almost over. Aside from feeling nauseous this morning all going well. I have not had any cravings for sweet stuff, which I normally have all the time, in fact the thought of eating biscuits makes me feel sick.
I have not really felt hungry. I ate a small lunch and have had a small evening meal, a fraction of the size I would usually eat, all healthy.

I am also wanting to eat flavours I am not usually fussed by, such as sour and crunchy.

Thehumblesmidge · 13/07/2026 19:28

I was hit immediately by the nausea on day one! Feel rotten. I don’t want to eat anything simply because I feel sick. I hope that’s not the way of it all the time! Really praying these feelings of sickness don’t last long.

poolcrew · 13/07/2026 19:31

Day 2 done for me too. Had a headache yesterday but have felt ok today. Didn’t fancy breakfast until 10.30am and usually starving by 7am. Had less than usual but am trying to calorie count as well so could have potentially eaten a bit more. Finished the day on 1042 calories and am not hungry at at all which I’m shocked by
