Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Question about 'microdosing':
Started 1.5mg Wegovy from Voy 16 days ago and been lurking watching this threat. I don't have much to lose really - BMI 28 (but with arthritis so was accepted on Voy). I have tried everything to lose weight but keep snacking and none of my clothes fit. I'm very short so any weight gain is really obvious.

In this short amount of time I've lost 9lbs. I feel constantly 'morning sick' - fatigued, ick, and don't really fancy eating but heard the side effects would wear off. Finally, a few days ago I decided to half the dose. I know this isn't recommended! (before I get a flurry of warnings about this) but it was either stopping altogether or titrating down the amount. I've read so many scientific papers concerning this (I'm medically trained and do a lot of research in my job - there are no current randomised trials concerning microdosing safety - it's too soon to make concrete conclusions about splitting dosages) I'm a small, short woman so can't understand why my dosage would be the same as a large, tall man...

This has worked for me. I still feel like I have gently calmed down on my appetite but the side effects are way more tolerable and I'm losing weight at a nice rate. Has anyone else done this?

I’m also short, BMI 27. I had a terrible time with MJ so wanted to take it slowly with the pills. I read that splitting them makes them ineffective, but also that the protective coating is around each molecule rather than the pill, so shouldn’t make a difference.

I’m very early days in, but split the 1.5 pill for the first 2 days. That didn’t seem to do much (but am aware that there is a 7 day half life so it builds in system) so tried the whole pill for the 3rd day. The whole pill was effective enough that it lasted not only that day, but the next. I intended to take a whole pill every other day, but I thought I’d stretch it to every 3 days first (which is today, I did wake up fairly hungry so I’ll see how I get on by end of day).

In short - not splitting, but going for every other day / every 3 days with a whole pill.

Ive kept to the 1.5 for my 2nd order. Its working well for me and im worried ill have side effects on the higher dose (not had any side effects on the 1.5 so far).

It has really changed my mindset around eating. I loved my 11am mars bar and coke. Every day! Not even thought about it in over a week. There are still chocolate bars in the drawer but ive not been tempted.

I do need to exercise thought but im big and im a sweater and all the gym dear I see all figure hugging gear. Im going to see if I can find workouts on YouTube

I’m 3 and a ½ weeks in now and have lost a stone! Previous weight loss experience tells me that starting at a high weight will mean fast weight loss in the early days so I’m mindful of things plateauing as the weeks go on, but I’m still incredibly pleased.

The biggest change for me is how easy it has been. Achieving this weight loss in the past has been a painful road of denial and hunger. All the advice about what to eat to stay full didn’t help and it was a constant struggle always thinking about food. This time round I feel no agonising hunger, always just a realisation of “I feel a bit hungry now, I could eat something.” And absolutely zero desire to inhale chocolate of an evening.

I just want to remind people you don’t want rapid weight loss. That’s when you can hit medical issues. Even a pound a week is the right direction. I know the euphoria of a decent loss is hard to beat but it’s not realistic long term and slow and steady is much better for you.
I’m ticking back down weight wise after starting my last pen of Mounjaro which has been sat in the fridge a year. Weight had crept up again. So satisfying that 2.5 still works. Definitely have the pill on my list though for maintenance. I’m thinking maybe once or twice a week. Just enough to keep the snacking at bay! It would be amazing if we could access it like that.

Yes, I have been thinking this longer term. I think when I get to goal I will want / need to have a little every now and then (either just to get me back to goal, or possibly to keep me at goal). It switches off the constantly looking for food thing, which is key.

This is very hard to control when starting at a very high weight and BMI though. I have been eating well, for example today I had two eggs and a slice of toast for breakfast and can’t eat any more than that. Lunch was soup. Dinner will have to be light, but last night we had spaghetti meatballs and I just had a lighter portion with much less spaghetti, and most of my plate filled with salad.

Eating like this I’ve still lost a stone in under 4 weeks. Completely out of my control as I can only eat what the pill allows me to eat. Overeating past the point of feeling full is impossible.

It will even out, I know when I was first on MJ it was very rapid, but it did slow down. I’ve just checked back and my first month of WLI was similar, just over a stone. Second month saw a 9lb loss.
I was just concerned that people seemed to be intentionally pushing towards quick loss.

Yes I don’t want rapid loss but so far it feels very much out of my control. Simply cannot eat anymore which is a brand new feeling for me. I could eat chocolate like it was an Olympic event

I don’t know if this is aimed at me among others as I was one of those disheartened to not have lost a single thing in the last 2 weeks of my 1.5mg dose. I don’t mind a slow rate but was concerned my initial plan of ordering the 1.5mg for a second month wouldn’t be great as I was also noticing some noise coming back. I have now been prescribed 4mg for my second month and certainly not looking for drastic weight loss. I know the first 2 weeks are often a lot of water weight anyway.

Anyway this is my progress… finally below 70 today! It will inevitably slow down as this still factors in the water weight but I still like to see a small decrease per week.

SW: 74kg
week 1: 71.2kg
werk 2: 70.4kg
week 3: 70.9kg
week 4 (almost): 69.6kg

Day 3 - definitely working in terms of binge prevention and appetite suppression. Making sure I eat to my calorie and protein targets as I strength train 5 times and week and also run.

i’m 1.45kg down this week so far (but I gained 2kg last week being on holiday)

But the headache is killing me, how long did it take for that to go?
