Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Started on 4mg today. Hopefully it starts to work. Put on weight on the lowest dose. Anyone else felt like it started to kick in at 4mg?

barabuns · Yesterday 09:32

I’ve put ON 4lbs. I’m gutted. Side effects, loads of protein, zero snacking. No alcohol. I’m wondering if I should just move to MJ jabs. Everyone I know has lost tons on them. I’m so disheartened. So I’m basically back to where I started after losing 5lbs the first week. Not sure the constant nausea is worth it.

Ive been on them a week and not lost anything despite eating less and no alcohol.

I lost 7lb on 1.5mg, I haven’t really had any side effects apart from one day when I felt a little sickly.
However, have taken my first 4mg dose this morning and feel dreadful, full on morning sickness type feeling! Hope it subsides in a day or 2.

I did expect the side effects though as it’s more than double the dose, trying to plod on in work, have managed a cup of coffee…aiming for a cup a soup in an hour or so

AprilFlowersMay · Yesterday 13:40

@mne13 i thought that the jump from 1.5 to 4 felt a big one. I’ve lost 9lbs month 1 and sticking with 1.5, even though having some hungrier days. Will consider going up if weight loss slows next month so we’ll see!

mne13 · Yesterday 13:43

Ive definitely felt it! It’s only day 1 on new dose, I’ll keep you updated!
I go on holiday with a couple of friends in September, so that spurred me on to go up to 4mg and I still had a few hungry days so will see hopefully it’s the right decision for me

socks1107 · Yesterday 13:58

I have to eat my words after not loosing anything at the end of last week and report I am 2.5lbs down in week one, and that’s with two tablets missed thanks to the nausea that I couldn’t face another day so sick feeling.
So I am pretty pleased and happy to continue with skipped doses for now if needed.
it is the same few pounds that have been bouncing about since March though I’ll see where my weight really is in another two weeks and maybe celebrate then

Anyone else feeling hungry, but just not fancying anything? I had my usual yoghurt and granola at about 9:30/10, it’s now gone 2pm, and I’m a little bit hungry. I’m out and about in town, so stopped in Waitrose, but stood in front of the fridge for about 5 minutes dithering, because I just didn’t fancy anything they had. I would usually pick up a sushi or a sandwich, or a sausage roll if there was nothing else I fancied. But today, not a single thing was speaking to me. I had to walk away in the end as I felt a bit overwhelmed! But I’m hungry and want something to eat!

Solasum · Yesterday 15:54

@Twoweeksandcounting yes! I have found the only things I can face eating are very healthy. When nothing else appeals I usually start with something sour (which I used to hate) and can then usually eat a bit of something else too.

Solasum · Yesterday 15:57

@devfire It is pretty hot; I don’t know about you but I am drinking a lot more water than usual. Could that explain lack of loss for you?

SweetBaklava · Yesterday 17:31

Did my 2 weeks weigh in this morning and lost another 1.5lb 🎉 Am going to chance moving up to 4mg in a couple of weeks and see how that goes.

SW: 13st 9.5lb
CW: 13st 5lb
Height: 5ft

Great stuff! I’ll be interested to know how your third week goes. I was similar to you and then no change at all after the second week. I’m going up to 4 this week hopefully :)

I’m just starting my 2nd week and what I’m finding is the appetite suppression has kicked in more the last few days.

So now I’m not feeling hungry in general for most of the day. A little peckish at times, but not hungry hungry.

I’m having to make sure I eat something because I feel like I could go most of the day not eating much at all. And like you I just don’t know what I even fancy eating.

Today I had no breakfast (never been a breakfast person), a couple of boiled eggs for dinner and a tuna salad with a handful of potato wedges, for tea.

As I haven’t even hit 1000 calories for the day yet, I may treat myself to some jelly and icecream 😁

I'm back from my first posts at the start of the thread. I ordered from Bolt and they should be here tomorrow!!

I feel I will be rattling in terms of the pills I will be taking daily!

-wegovy first thing and then planning 20 mins of some sort of weight bearing exercise

  • followed by my daily probiotic and x 2 psyllium husk
  • early evening is my 200mgs of progesterin
  • after dinner 25mg of sertraline
  • evening 1 x nytol (not that it has worked lately!)

Im quite low in iron so am planning smaller iron rich food - salads with a spinach base, small portions of liver x2 a week and steak. Am hoping the smaller portions help manage my food budget and are manageable with Wegovy.
Am also awaiting a hysterectomy which will help with the iron.

Im really excited - my weight and self control has just got up and gone respectively since 2020 (pandemic). I have definitely been using food and booze to self sooth but feel sluggish, lazy and oddly really unprofessional. Im in my 50s, a single mum to a soon to be teen (autumn) and just want to be a new version of my old self which includes the self control I used to have.

Yes I know I am banking on this to be a miracle but really thibk this might help me.

🤞🙏🤲

I’m away for a girls weekend and decided not to have the pills for the weekend. Sat-Wed.

I’ve had chocolate and junk food today and have had a VERY upset stomach.

Quite looking forward to getting back on it!

holymolybalamory · Yesterday 20:34

I lost 3lbs the first week and weight tomorrow for the 2nd week but I don’t think I’ve lost, we’ve been on holiday and I’ve been healthy but also had treats. An ice cream here and there 🤦‍♀️

I don’t drink very often but sometimes enjoy going out for a drink with friends. How have people found it on the pill?

AprilFlowersMay · Today 07:01

I barely drink at all under normal circs: went out on Friday and had half a bottle of wine and a cocktail and was absolutely fine which really surprised me. I had a meal and plenty of water too but was expecting to have a terrible hangover / upset stomach in the night (which is why I stopped drinking in the first place) so was actually quite shocked. It is a one off though: aside from anything else now I’m on these pills I can really see where my extra calories were coming from and I am now implementing a “don’t drink any calories” life rule which includes milky coffees, smoothies and alcohol.

LondonCheesecake · Today 08:13

Frannie I have zero medical training but you might want to skip the psyllium for a bit as it slows your gut and the pill does that as well, which might make you very uncomfortable

I have put on 3lb. I've been away this week and did expect to put on but was hoping for more like 1-2lb. This means I'm about 2.5lb down since I started 2 weeks ago, not much but going the right way. Returning to better choices today.

EchoNova · Today 08:33

Will be joining in here once I receive the tablets. Little bit about me- started on MJ in March last year, I got down to a weight I was happy with and I had hoped to stay on it for maintenance but had to come off it mainly due to cost.

Since stopping it last august I managed to keep the weight off until march this year but since then I've started HRT and also broke my ankle and I'm ashamed to say my weight has crept back up and I'm now 11st 8lb. The pills are much more affordable for me so hoping I'll be able to stay on them long term. I'm in no rush to lose the weight so I'm hoping these work. How is everyone finding them so far?

I use psyllium with the Wegovy pill. I find it effective to keep regular, & very calming of gut side-effects.

Question about 'microdosing':
Started 1.5mg Wegovy from Voy 16 days ago and been lurking watching this threat. I don't have much to lose really - BMI 28 (but with arthritis so was accepted on Voy). I have tried everything to lose weight but keep snacking and none of my clothes fit. I'm very short so any weight gain is really obvious.

In this short amount of time I've lost 9lbs. I feel constantly 'morning sick' - fatigued, ick, and don't really fancy eating but heard the side effects would wear off. Finally, a few days ago I decided to half the dose. I know this isn't recommended! (before I get a flurry of warnings about this) but it was either stopping altogether or titrating down the amount. I've read so many scientific papers concerning this (I'm medically trained and do a lot of research in my job - there are no current randomised trials concerning microdosing safety - it's too soon to make concrete conclusions about splitting dosages) I'm a small, short woman so can't understand why my dosage would be the same as a large, tall man...

This has worked for me. I still feel like I have gently calmed down on my appetite but the side effects are way more tolerable and I'm losing weight at a nice rate. Has anyone else done this?

Do you have to drink lots of water for it to work?

Bookaholic73 · Today 10:10

I placed my first re order today.
They recommended the 4mg, but I’m sticking with 1.5mg for another month.
It’s not totally taken away my appetite, but it has gotten rid of any urges to binge, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
